I shifted things around a bit. I brought Dave Richards in to the second-line, dropping the currently disappointing McAvoy. I have changed things on the left-wing as well (now there's a surprise ;)) and I have somehow got another contender for the spot-talented Slovakian Ladislav Skurko. Skurko has not managed to cement a place in the team in this early phase of the season (who has??), but he impressed here, in a 6-2 demolition of local rivals Portland.

EDIT: It worked!!!! Hoooraayyyyyyyy :groupwave:
I reckon the problem was that I normally right-click on the emoticons and select 'copy shortcut' and paste this into my post (as for some reason the direct java link does not work on my home PC). However when originally posting this post I used the keyboard shortcut for some of my emoticons....

Anyhoo, the above is what I attempted to post last night, and is the latest chspter in the story. I did post up screenies originally, but I dropped these in my attempts to get it to work. I'll post them at a later date...

My first line. Of those you can see here, Bridges, Fitzgerald and Durand are the regulars.

Ho, hum...time for a Minty favourite...'BlackCats week of hell' :work: :bustacap:

We went on to lose to Tri-City, but bounced back to beat Everett 5-2 and exorcise some of our demons....It hasn't helped having had second line defender Scott Jackson and front-line right-wing Ryan Gibbons out injured recently. However I am confident that with these two now recovering we can put a decent run together and improve our postion...

That's all for tonight...

Just beaten the Regina Pats 4-1 away from home. I am feeling reasonably confident in the team, but we have some players who are worryingly inconsistent, such as Dave Richards, Devon LeBlanc and James McEwan. The latter I have no doubt could be a great player, and part of the problem is inevitably down to the fact that he cannot be guaranteed a starting place. The fact is though that we could afford to trade him, and we have had some decent looking enough offers for him. I either need a right-side defender or a right-winger. I'll see how things pan out...

It's so difficult to deal with players such as McEwan. Do you keep him and play him every so often or do you risk that he won't turn out great and trade him for a more solid player? :-?

I'm still thinking trade at the moment. I have made an offer for Moose Jaw right-winger Troy Brouwer-exchange McEwan and unused Center Farmanara.

Heh heh-talk about a ridiculous purchase. This lad came to my attention because several teams were chasing him in my news inbox. I took one look at his stats for this season and thought-'why not?'...

The transfer will go through at the end of the season.

Could somebody give me a brief explanation of who is eligible for each of the different drafts/who can play in the WHL (i know about age limits, but everything else is shrouded in a fog of mystery)
Lost to Portland 4-1 and beat Tri-City by the same score.
