4.2 !!!!!! And you can research the average height/weight if you choose to, this is what I plan on doing.

I doubt that my player even becomes a regular starter in NHL. He is weird, pretty brutal, small and worst of all he starts in the Swedish 3rd Div!

So far no one has anyone qualms about using the Manimal/Lidas4.1 ?
And is everyone okay with a 97 birthyear ? therefore we will all have to wait atleast a year before being drafted in juniors, minus the WHLers, I would do 96 except those who had chosen WHL as a junior preference would have been already passed over in the WHL Bantam draft.
PA is -15 which gives our players a huge range of CA: 110-190
4.1 DB is great, but Manimal just released 4.2 today.
97 would work if you use the Custom Start Date patch.

I was thinking -15 awsell, we're going to go with 4.2 and 97 birth year.

We definitely could, I have made myself, and will make others later tonight, it took me about 10 minutes, there were attributes that i didnt fill out as they werent on the spread sheet, so i assume they are meant to be random. Keep in mind mental attributes will help us all out, as will who handles our development, (Millbury stay away !!) I won't interfere, however at after you have reached juniors, you may ask only once in your career to be moved or traded to the team with the best offer(quantity).

I definitely want my player to end up very big by the time he'd ready for the NHL draft. Also, that probably the size I was at 13. If you think it's appropriate, go ahead and adjust it though.
I think Lidas 4.1 is fine or you could use 4.2, which has the WHL updated andlots of other updates.
I'm pretty sure Calv used random PA. I'd PM him for the details.

We definitely could
I would definitely go for something like -15 PA. I think a random PA would make things more interesting (rather than us all turning into Wayne Gretzky clones).
I have emailed my sheet to you. I wasn't sure what to put for the height/weight - please adjust if you think they're too high/low.
I'd give my vote for the v4.2 rosters. If nothing else, that particular version includes a significant bug fix in relation to the NHL Draft.
What about the Realism Patch? Is this something worth applying after you have added all of us??

Bantam is Western Canada, for Ontario and East you want Midget

I'd like to get in on this. If you can gimme' until later in the day I'll have a sheet in. I haven't done one of these before and this sounds similar to the FHockey Adventures we used to do on FHockey with the original freeware EHM, and those were loads of fun.
EDIT: The sheet shows NAHL as a possibility? Is that valid for this, or in the US are we looking at just the USHE, USHW, and the two U16's?
EDIT2: NM, I'll just go with a U16 team...

Alright, fired my sheet off. I think I got Height and Weight right or close, but feel free to adjust if I goofed in the conversion. I set three Liked and Disliked clubs too, yell at me if you want for it.
I have no idea what the attributes will result in, I've never really built players. This should be interesting...

Wild94 wrote:I tried to use the realism patch and I don't know how to use it, I have no qualms about using it as it would help the goalies.
Just use the standard Manimal v4.2 database for the time being. Once you have added all of the players, email the database to me and I will apply the patch for you.
Btw, if you tried to use the Realism Patch, I recommend deleting the database and starting again. You may have inadvertently applied the patch more than once (and this will greatly reduce all of the attributes beyond what it should).

Ok, I'm doing the sheet right now, but I've got a question to ask: can we move points between categories? For example if I don't want to create a fighter, can I move some points from the Fighting section to, say, Mental or whatever?
Also, I have absolutely no clue how big should the poor bugger be to grow into a reasonable NHL-frame (say 6'1", 190lbs). I put something in, but how it will turn out, well, we'll see.

no as this will complicate things.
