I imagine he got hurt when Dustin Brown ran into him after the first goal. Was a rather hard collision and Roberto sure went down awkwardly. Played good after but I guess he probably was sore today. Hope he's ok..... still a darn good goalie and probably would be going to the Olympics.

Yeah..definitely when it happened. It is too bad,.... he will get named to team anyway, just like Stamkos and will do injury replacement if need be come tourney time.

I really hope Stamkos will make it in time. He is essential to the team, if he's top shape of course.

Holy rubbish...SESTITO ON THE PP. And scores. WOW. LOL

EDit...not giving him credit for his deflection. It may have hit Fowler and not him. But lol...2-2 on PP with Sestito in front of net.

And then he proceeded to kick Kassian in the head, take a bad tripping penalty....and play generally like Tom Sestito does. :-D

Pavel Datsyuk's injury is officially still listed as "Lower Body", but beat writers have confirmed it is yet another Groin.

Time to find something to talk about other than the Wings. OR create a Wings thread. :dunno:

The last 9 posts prior were Canucks-related posts. No thanks.

A look at some interesting numbers through the first half of the season. I found the Maple Leafs shot different part quite interesting.

Knew about the Leaf number and most of that. The one thing that was somewhat of a wow for me....HOW BAD the Sabres are at scoring. I knew bad, but record bad. Wow.

And of course the PP opportunites are on a decrease. Got to make sure it is not too much of a shock when the Bruins never get one in the entire playoffs. :-D

Yeah its crazy that the Sabres are on pace for a 70 game record low, forget the 82 game record low lol

Our ex-GM spent the last two years convincing us that our 2nd and 3rd line forwards were top line scoring powerhouses. Then the suffering began. I'm more interested in the draft pick debacle with the Islanders, but maybe not so much a debacle but a "on the edge of your seat" kind of scenario. Which team will tank worse and will the Islanders give the Sabres their 1st rounder this year.

I don't think they will do so. I read somewhere that the condition on the pick is that if it is a top-ten pick, then the Isles has the option to choose year. If it is later then it is a 2014 pick. I think the Isles can improve next season so I would give the Sabres that pick, rather than losing a top ten pick

Yeah I looked that up to when he said it just to clarify the condition of it. Now that there is a new GM it will be interesting to see if they move Miller in the next month but its said their asking price is too high asking for a number 1 and three prospects.

Do you have any source anywhere on that or is it just a wild rumor? I have literally never heard that thrown out there before. I'm not challenging the notion so much as I'd like to know more about it. It's entirely possible.

A bunch of us Wings fans were discussing Redden and "what happened?". I've always felt that if OTT had chosen the opposite way that the result probably would have been similar anyways. There are and were more problems in OTT. OTT just always seems to find a way top screw things up or hinder players from really blossoming.

NHL junkies I knew about ---> Ed Belfour, Grant Fuhr, Theo Fleury, Kevin Stevens, Bob Probert. And now Redden also.

Grigorenko has been sent down to the Quebec Remparts today. Boy they're gonna scrap the kid development if they keep playing with him like that.
