EHM The Blue Line

Hmmm...season 3 for me the World Juniors are starting on December 4th. And I had no option given to me at any point to scout this.
World Junior Division 1 begins on December 17.

This is a bit odd. Anyone else have this happen with them? If so...should be reported to SI, and I will do so.

Just started my second season in my new career in EHM EA, I noticed something funny and annoying: a couple of times I had sequences of playing games on 3 consecutive days. I thought that was bad enough until I had a sequence of 7 straight days with games! Anybody had a stupid schedule like this before? Is this possibly a bug in the new game?

What version was your season created with?

This issue was fixed for the NAL(NHL) in the 15.1.0b update. If your season was started with an earlier version, it will be fixed upon the season update June 30/July 1

I have a prospect who plays major junior hockey in Canada and he gets signed by a team only to be released the next day and so it goes on...Often it is the same team doing it over and over.

THere are two guys in my game right now, both of whom have some talent and are eligible for the 2017 draft who keep getting offers from teams and refusing them. Over and over and over. This has been going on since they hit my shortlist in October and it is now February. Neither has played a game all year. Both have college set as preferences. And no college will sign them....and they keep refusing ANYONE else, including major junior.

So must be that known issue with college teams not signing guys, because they all look like they could use the help of these two players.

Yeah would love it if they could fix that college bug, I see a lot of players aiming to play college hockey but keep playing in some lower level junior league until they are like 20.

Not really a bug but a wording issue. ECHL playing the Kalamazoo Wings. Get a message that says "Don Nachbaur has been informed by Cameron Critchlow that he would be keen to play for the Kalamazoo. I can live with using the word keen even though it's rarely used in N.A. but the Kalamazoo? How about the Kalamazoo Wings, the Wings or the K-Wings. I'm guessing this same problem occurs in other leagues as well.
Edit: There are other instances where it's worded slightly differently but correctly with like play for Kalamazoo.

Has anyone tried to print to text file? I've been trying to print roster file through Actions -> Print -> Roster, but the generated text file is blank without any roster information. Don't know if this is something that one would call a bug, but certainly not working for me. And also, if there's another way of doing this (in the same manner, roster of team one by one) I'd appreciate the guidance to the right direction!

NHL Draft order is incorrect I believe ( as i write I am 2nd guessing myself)

The team that loses the Stanley Cup final picks 29th overall. In my game in year 3 that is the Anaheim Ducks. Yet...they are choosing 15th based on regular season performance and the 29th pick is Minnesota Wild, who finished 2nd overall (1st in west) in regular season, but were KO'd in 1st round of playoffs by the Ducks (finished 8th in west). At least I believe this to be the case.

Is there a known bug with suspensions? I'm noticing if a guy gets suspended once for just a game, he seems to get suspended again within a week. Has happened 3 times now and it's only January of the first seasons...

Yeah I do not know if it is known, but it sure gets ramped up. Game Misconducts for instigators are way to prevalent as well in the NHL. I think that Riz knows about it, but should go over there and make a note of it on SI site.

I hate getting game misconducts for instigators--eventually RInaldo in season 1 got suspended for 7 games, this after previously getting 1,2,4,6....he missed 20 games for 5 fights. So not real (and he only one one of those fights---hence me not bringing him back and letting him rot)

In year 2030, and all teams except one is between 12 and 30 Mil$ under the cap. Players sign way to cheap and short contracts unless they are Stamkos/Crosby etc. To easy to keep your team intact year after year.. i have been in the last 9 finals winning 7 with an avg cap of 50 mil.

That's a big problem, maybe contract demands should be more performanced based? Players that score on PPG pace should really demand 5m+

I agree. The game is too easy when you get a guy who just scored 40 goals the season before looking for a 2 year contract extension worth 2 million dollars or something a long those lines. If he's an established vet in his prime he should be looking for a 5+ year deal worth at least 5-6 million per year. Performance should have a lot to do with how much the player makes. That's how it works in real life for the most part.

Sorry if I'm repeating but halfway through my first season with Buffalo, I loaded up the game to see that everyone in the league had a $0 salary and that the salary cap was $0. The game kept playing but no idea if the seasons would continue once I'm done. Wasn't super excited to keep playing to find out it was kaput.

Since this game was made in 2007 there have been significant changes to both icing and playoffs. The NHL icing rules are now a hybird and NEVER is an icing call when a player crosses the center lines passes it to a player before crossing the blue line missed it and the opposing player touches it behind the goal. The playoffs are still top 8 BUT top two conference winners plays the 7-8 teams and division 2-3 play each other and ROW carries more weight than before too.

If one clicks on "No" when asked to exit the game, vacationing does not work anymore.

I don't have a screenshot but I start a career with a Quebec Junior Major league and got no money, same thing after 1months.

Need to start a new one.

Don't know what happened.

The money thing is due to update. Sets to pounds and messes up. Reset to US $ and then reload your game.....will go away. This is a common one that has been posted in this thread and about 10 others, and is on SI Boards....and on HF....and lord knows where else.
