I read both articles. So thanks to both. Pretty repetitive to read Nino's after Alessandro's. And a lot of stuff I've read before here and there..

Despite living in Edmonton I'd never heard before that there was an actual internal Oilers 9-2 vote against picking Yakupov (it's really to bad Lowe/MacTavish have kept their jobs...they have owner support but not fan support, and haven't had it for a long time)

That part was new for me. Not really surprised though as Nail was a big risk as a first pick. But the guy is still young, I hope the best for him.

NHL suspends Duncan Keith six games – and dispels the “star treatment” myth

I found this headline pretty funny, imo Keith got too little - not to mention, it actually amounts to 1 actual game ban.

What do you guys think? DId the NHL got it right?

I don't think it dispels the star treatment myth at all, i think he should have gotten 10+ games for that easily, he's a repeat offender and it was a nasty slash (can you even call it a slash?). I think DoPS is a truly incompetent department and they should fire everyone (slight exaggeration).

It's a bit stupid IMO. It was a nasty move and with already 2 suspensions behind him, Keith should've had a 10 games.

How long were his previous suspensions?

Keith was handed a one-game suspension for "high stick to the face" of Carter. It was during the playoffs..

Maybe DoPS considers playoff games to be worth more than regular season games, thus the short suspension

Extremely delighted that the Flyers clinched playoff berth with a win against Pittsburgh, I think we have a chance against the Capitals!

Weird...the 2nd Round has started (Islanders currently lead Tampa Bay 4-1 in the second period) BUT the 1st Round isn't finished yet (Ducks/Predators start their game 7 in an hour and twenty minutes).....maybe it has, but I don't recall this ever happening before
