Manimal , the caps imho are overrated , Semin Green Backstrom definetly not the hockey gods they are painted up to be , also I think Cal Clutterbuck deserves a solid upgrade

I agree on the Capitals players! Those guys (especially Semin and Backstrom) are definitely godly in the game. I really noticed that when I was playing the Thrashers challenge and we played against the Caps so often.

Alot of Players need upgrades and alot of players need downgrades. But, Backstrom is way overrated, he gets 100 plus points every year i play. I really think coaches and GMs needs upgrades and downgrades as well.

One thing about coaches, if you play euro, its way too easy to get way too good foreign coaches to even assistant coach roles, sometimes even way too cheap.

ANDY MIELE needs to be added to Phoenix Coyotes, $900,000 till 11-12 season so contract ends 2008 in game.

STEPHANE DA COSTA needs to be created, couldnt find him in game, he also needs to be added to Senators contract ends in 2008 in game $900,000

and I have downgraded some guys, especially those Caps-players. I am not finished yet, though

I've recommended that Semin, Backstrom and Ovechkin all get downgrades along with numerous other players. Make a list of players and what attributes you think should be upgraded/downgraded and post them or message them to Manimal and he'll take them into consideration.

Really a minor thing, but still Kristofer Berglund in Färjestad spell with one "f".

A good prospect that should be tweak is Bobby Butler (Ottawa Sens). He's rated as limited potential in your last update. (I didn't check this new one though, I don't have access to my pc for now)

Also the name for the Gatineau's Olympiques (QMJHL) arena is Aréna Robert-Guertin.

Talent Analysis: Butler is budding two-way power forward with great hands and a powerful shot. One of his strongest assets is his playmaking ability, whether it’s setting up a potential goal or making a nice outlet pass from the defensive zone. He makes very good decisions with the puck and also has the ability to make those around him better. As good as Butler is offensively, he is almost equally as good defensively, particularly on the penalty kill. Though he is strong on his skates and moves well, Butler is neither the prettiest nor quickest skater out there. That should improve over time.

A smart two-way winger who does an honest day’s work in his own zone and plays the penalty kill. Has accomplished most of his impressive offensive production by finding holes and being in the right place at the right time. Doesn’t have dynamic physical tools and his skating is average.

From speaking with UNH followers and other NCAA followers alike, it sounds as if the Sens have signed a solid prospect with a lot of potential. The biggest question being if his game can translate to the NHL level. From what I gather he is an above average skater with a great right-handed shot who can contribute effectively at both ends of the rink. Some fans added that he has room to fill out in his 6ft frame to add more strength and others are comparing him to Jamie Langenbrunner.

However there are some NCAA teams that should be moved:

Bemidji State Beavers &
Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks to Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA)

Niagra Purple Eagles &
Robert Morris Colonials to Atlantic Hockey Association

Also, not for the current update, but for next years I would be willing to help out with the college players since I follow it pretty closely, especially the WCHA

This may no longer be relevant, but have you checked to make sure that the retired numbers actually get retired? I remember in older rosters that they were listed to get retired on a certain date, but not all of them would go through. I actually kept changing the date for the ones that didn't work until they did. I think I had to have a few getting retired every few days for about a month before they all worked.

Do numbers get retired in your games?

I've NEVER seen a number retired. EVER! And I've played through the game countless times. I'm usually the Leafs, and in real life they don't retire numbers, but Crosby and Ovechkin usually finish their careers with around 2000 points and a new career goals scored record, and they don't get their numbers retired.
