Yeah it makes me nervous about all PI/SB teams. Hopefully Basingstoke won't be affected - they are in dire need of a new rink. I don't know where plans for the new complex ever got.

£300 for a season ticket next year for Guildford is very reasonable. Although I doubt I'll renew given how few games I manage to get to.

How many games?
Storms were £425 for 30 games, or £14.17 a game

Just read that it's for all home games, which could easily climb above 30. That is insanely cheap!!!
If only everything else was that cheap down there

The email the Flames sent suggests they can keep prices low because of the number of season ticket holders. Also it seems there will be fewer Kids Go Free games which will help possibly free up seats for adult tickets. Apparently the on the door price will be going up to EIHL prices.

Never a dull moment...

I think I'll be glad when this season is over (not helped by the fact that Storm's season has well and truly fizzled out)

I like how the law firm representing the Steelers is orange and teal (

But yeah it has been a really bad season for UK hockey for so many reasons. I think it'll carry on into the summer though - at least in respect of the "PIHL". It sounds like the Bees' future is far from certain...

Just got in from watching MKL win the only missing-piece from their trophy cabinet: the EPL Cup
Massively dramatic game, despite effectively winning on aggregate went all the way to penalties because of the new rules this year.
Odrobny with the shut-out and Captain-Carr with the winning shot. Rink has never been louder!

Congrats! Nice to end your final season with at least one trophy (and maybe two!).
I saw this graphic on Facebook and quite like it:

Good to see MK win a trophy before moving up to the EIHL
The Strovinators graphics are always very good!
Storm's season review is already up!

Haha! Such a shame but at least it is still mathematically possible. I was watching the Belfast game at the time and they kept cutting to the Storm game for goal updates - I couldn't believe it!

Nice, I think Storm, Giants, and Steelers use the same streaming provider

Yeah they kept cutting to the Steelers game too. It was very impressive - the commentary was very good (none of the clichés and they seemed to know what they were talking about) and the image quality was reasonable (although I actually watched something on Sky Go afterwards and realised the Giants' HD quality isn't all that HD).

The setup they all use looks pretty professional, although I'm not a huge fan of the commentary sometimes. The Storm commentators aren't always great (although that is pretty new), but the Steelers commentator is pretty good.

Storm need to win, or at least match the Blaze for points this evening to secure the final playoff place. Storm host Nottingham and Coventry travel to Sheffield. Shame they couldn't make both faceoff at the same time (Shef-Cov is 5pm and Man-Not is 5:30 pm)

Poor ice stopped the game in Altrincham after 2 periods this evening, the result stood (2-2) and it went to penalty shots and Nottingham got the extra point. Fortunately, Coventry had already lost in Sheffield so Storm make the playoffs and face Cardiff next weekend. I might try and make the trip down

Steelers vs Nottingham in the play offs that should be good

Storm came up short this evening against Cardiff, too few goalscorers in this squad unfortunately which has been the story all season.
Cardiff - Dundee, Sheffield - Belfast are the games next Saturday

Belfast vs Cardiff final then

Certainly possible, although Belfast - Sheffield have been pretty equal this season in the league. I wouldn't put it past Cardiff to get the Grand Slam, they've been excellent all year.

Yep, we're in Nottingham. Stars couldn't hold on in the first game and went down 4-2 against Cardiff. The final goal was ENG.
Sheffield - Belfast could go either way, Sheffield are 1-0 up after 2. Lots of needle in this one
