I hope this is the right place to mention this....

It was announced today that the Minnesota Wild have a working agreement with the Johnstown Chiefs of the ECHL as their 2nd team.

I didn't do the Rangers prospects, but Del Zotto should be a -8.

I sent in his ratings with the rest of the Avalanche prospects. I did not give him ratings for a player expected to play in the NHL this year, nor be playing this well. Not sure if Lidas will be doing any adjustments though.

awesome, i'll probably tweak him to be a player this year since he can obviously hack it in the NHL and I hope Duchene and guys like Shattenkirk, Gaunce and Stoa are near NHL ready

I think he was -8 in 1.3 DB, but I could be mistaken. Either way, he is very very good :)

But what's to say that Del Zotto is going to get that much better? That's what the -8 or -9 is all about. It's the overall potential. Different players progress at different rates. He could have had a big jump in his development starting out this season but that doesn't mean he's the second coming of Bobby Orr. I really don't like seeing -9's given out too freely.

I think in all the prospects that I helped do for the upcoming roster, I only found one -9.

Yeah, I think I found 1 or 2 of them on the teams that hockey's future had ranked as the teams with the best prospects.

They should all be rated as -9.

I actually gave Hedman and Tavares -10, but I got no problem if they're bumped down to -9. Duchene got a -9. It's funny, I did 3 teams and ended up rating the top 3 picks. I didn't plan that either.

Personally it doesn't bother me if they're -10 or -9. I know that Lidas has already said that he pretty much goes through all the sheets and make changes anyways. Everyone is going to have an idea of what certain players should be rated as. That's why we have the editor.;)

I agree with this, though Del Zotto seems to be improving his ability every other game. Maybe he's not going to be the next Bobby Orr (though I'm not going to say definitely not and I hope he will be), but I think a sizable potential for the future is possible. Remember that he's only 19, and playing probably about as good as Brian Leetch played when he came in at the same age.

As far Tavares and Hedman, I'd say Hedman is definitely a -9, Tavares maybe a -10.

-1 Potential will be between 1-20 (the worst young players, they will likely retire at a young age and keep getting recycled back into the regen pool)
-2 Potential will be between 10-40
-3 Potential will be between 30-60
-4 Potential will be between 50-80
-5 Potential will be between 70-100
-6 Potential will be between 90-120
-7 Potential will be between 110-140 (quite rare, a good prospect with a decent chance of being a regular NHL player)
-8 Potential will be between 130-160 (rare, a top prospect with a good chance of being a talented NHL player)
-9 Potential will be between 150-180 (very rare, a top 10 prospect who is considered a can’t miss NHL talent)
-10 Potential will be between 170-200 (extremely rare, the top player available in a draft, but not every year)
-11 Potential will be between 20-80 (intended for very young, hard-to-predict players)
-12 Potential will be between 40-100 (intended for very young, hard-to-predict players)
-13 Potential will be between 60-130 (intended for very young, hard-to-predict players)
-14 Potential will be between 90-160 (intended for very young, hard-to-predict players)
-15 Potential will be between 110-190 (intended for very young, hard-to-predict players)

Do you have a link to him? Id like to see (at least) some stats and a birthdate to base his data on.
