I have seen a couple of those in my 1st season playing with the CSD and the latest rosters...
Cody Payne from Plymouth is one of them....
I also seem to be having some issues with waivers... seems like anyone needs to go through waivers now ? But I think you are already aware of that problem and are working on it... ?
We are aware of both those problems and we are working on it.

Jykke wrote:Hello, I have problem this problem when im trying to use CSD Patch for playing, when I start a new game, it lets me choose leagues normally and starts load the game, but then it says "ERROR v.3.0.4 fin_suomi.cpp 1333" and "ERROR v.3.0.4 fin_suomi.cpp 1559"
What I am doing wrong?
- start ehm07
- choose new start year (2011)
- star new game
- select leagues
- error messages comes
- game closes itself
And if I don't use CSD Patch, all players are 5 years too young.
Please could you take a look at page 5 of the readme.pdf file included with the patch. You will see on page 5 a section entitled "Need Help?" with a list of information I need from you. Please could you post that information as it will help me help you.

Okay, so I've played through the first season of the challenge using the patch. Every time I loaded the game, I used the patch. Once I got past July 1st, I don't need to use the patch, right? Well everything is going fine. I've played my pre-season games. It's Sept. 30th and I'm trying to advance to Oct 1st. The game crashes. I get a message saying that EHM has encountered a problem and needs to close. No other details really besides that. Any ideas?

It's the 1st Feb if you don't have Russia or Finland loaded. Although it shouldn't make a difference (as far as I know).

Typically this is caused by not applying the Patch one time when reloading. You could try loading the game using the Patch again but this time set the year as one year ahead (i.e. set it to 2012). Does this work?

Yeah...you used the patch once after July 1st, I did that too the first time I played with the patch.

So if I use the patch and set it to 2012, would I have to then use the patch up through July 1st of 2013?

I haven't tried this method and so I cannot say for sure. However I would expect that you could stop using the patch once you reached 1st Feb 2013. So each time you reload until you surpass 1st Feb 2013, set the start date as 2012.
Make a backup once you reach 1st Feb just in case.
I've never tried this and so I'd be really interested to hear whether this works.

So loading using the patch and setting the date to 2012 worked to get me past October 1st.
I've got all leagues selected but I'm playing the NHL. Should I be looking at Feb 1st or July 1st? I've got a long way to go but I want to make sure I cover myself.

Ah if you've got all leagues running then it's the 1st July.
It's great it worked - I bet that will prove useful to others in the future too.

So when I hit July 1st, do I save and exit immediately, and then reload without the patch?

No you don't have to save and exit immediately. You can continue playing. It's just that whenever you next reload the game, you don't then need to apply the patch.

What version of Windows are you using?
There are two possible reasons that come to mind:
1) You have a version of Windows earlier than Vista (in which case I don't think you need to worry about Run as Admin because Windows UAC wasn't present in Windows prior to Vista).
2) If you have Vista / 7: You don't have admin access on your computer - i.e. perhaps you have multiple user accounts on your computer?

So Archi, I'm wondering if the CSD is compatable with linux. I assume wine would be necessary, just curious if anyone has tried running something other than windows for it.

If you can install the .NET 4.0 Framework and C++ 2010 Redistributable (
links here) then it may well work. Although I suppose the difficulty is whether Linux/WINE will allow the CSD Patch to access the memory in the RAM - and indeed if EHM's data is located at the same offsets. It's well worth a try though. If the Patch doesn't work and/or you can't get .NET and C++ 2010 installed then try installing ArtMoney instead.
If anyone does try it with Linux, I'd love to hear how far they get. I may well give it a shot if/when I can get Linux installed on my laptop.

I'll give it a shot and report back with my results. The power supply went out on my laptop so I'm using my old one that has only had linux on it for the past while.

Ok here's how far I got. The C++ installed fine. The dot net Framework claimed it did not need to be installed as the one on the computer was upto date or newer. When I tried running CSD patch it closed soon after opening. Looks like a no go from here.

All I can suggest is to see if you really do have .Net v4 or higher installed. It may well be that you don't really have v4 installed and might be the source of the crash. That's just a guess though.
If I can get Linux installed at some point, I'll try the Patch with CrossOver.

perhaps this is the wrong thread to ask this in but, everything will become a far patch then when everything is ready with updated history of the teams / players? and anything else fun that you are doing?

I'm really sorry, I'm not sure I completely understand your question. But I will try to answer what I think you're trying to say (will there be a combined patch / mega patch featuring the CSD Patch and all of the other updating that has gone on recently):
The updated player/team histories will be included in the Manimal v4.1 Rosters. We hope this will be released fairly soon. You will be able to use the CSD Patch with these rosters and then you will be able to play in the 2011/12 season with updated rosters and updated histories.
For those who are unable to play with the CSD Patch, there will be a Non-Patched version of the rosters which will also include the updated histories (but the histories and all other dates will be pushed back five years so that the in game 2006/07 season is like the real life 2011/12 season).

Hi - I have installed the game and all of the patches without problems, and I get no errors when starting the game through CSD - however it doesn't change the date, even if it says so in CSD. I also tried the ArtMoney method, but that didn't work either. What could be the problem?
Have a Windows 7 64 bit version.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Welcome to The Blue Line!
Try this:
http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 01#p133201
There is a strange issue affecting a very tiny number of users meaning that they have to use ArtMoney in conjunction with CSD. Unfortunately because I'm unable to replicate this issue, I'm unable to adapt the patch to this. However, if you follow the instructions in my link then it should work fine.

Thanks for the help - it did make it start in 2011, but crashes when it reaches October 1. What causes this?
