You can move non-playing staff from one team to another but we cannot change "job for club" with the Updater.
I prefer to change jobs in the pre-game editor rather than retire and create new.

Thanks for the clarification, what about spreadsheet imports to update end of season awards / trophies and players history stats, is this functional ?

No there isn't any club editing function in the Updater.

Yes there is. I suggest checking out the readme.pdf file which is included with the Updater. It details each of the Updater spreadsheets including how they work.
