I got him at 17th. Everyone in the organization had him as the BPA.

He had 38 goals and 100+ points in his draft year. Pretty good pick at that spot IMO.

I think I missed the CuJo regen in the 5th round.
Oh thats not too bad then. I was thinking he was a top 10 pick. #17 looks about right IMO. I have no clue who he could be though. They are really hard to narrow down for me if they are Canadian. There are just so many possibilities out there.

Here are a couple guys I picked in my most recent draft. Both were unranked and I got them in the 5th and 7th round respectively.

I usually don't like signing my prospects until I need to but I decided to sign Hart since he was only getting about 5 games a season with his old team and his team didn't have any coaches. I plan on keeping him with the Marlies for a couple seasons. I only drafted him a month ago and already his skills have improved a bit.

I've got an interesting goalie battle going on right now between my Arturs Irbe regen and my Dominik Hasek regen. I had to move Luongo due to cap issues so now these two are battling it out. This is very interesting :-k

I think Ivars Buzats will win that battle with high determination and high workrate.

Let us know how it goes mrt3991.

Plus the highest det. and w.r. your Irbe regen got a way better positioning than our Hasek regen ( an awful 1 ) and for a goalie it's really important, so Irbe regen FTW. :joy:

Going off of how well they did during the season, I have been riding Ivars Buzats as my #1 throughout the playoffs. In 10 games he is 10-0-0 with a 2.10GAA, .920 SV%, 2 shutouts, and an 8.30 AVR. If Buzats wins the next game i will rest him for the 4th game and let Thomas Rech try to prove himself.

I'm a little late on this, but re. BlazingWing: If Nadeau has a consistency in the ballpark of 14, that is Mellanby you've got there. Re. grits: Fried is probably Lubomir Kolnik, while Hart could be the late Robert Müller.

I'm usually pretty good at finding regens. I make a point of figuring out who my prospects used to be, if only for novelty. This guy, though, I just can't figure out for the life of me:

Suchanek guy: Czech Gaborik?

Looking at the Czech leagues, it could be Zdenek Nedved.

What regens generally come by the 2009 draft in the Lidas 2.1 DB? I see the Hasek regen. But there are some guys who I have no clue who they could be. Like a 6'4 Russian D-man with a pokecheck, slapshot, and hitting in the 90's ranked 2nd overall and a 6'6 Swedish D-man who looks very solid ranked 3rd overall.

Clarke, I'm PRETTY SURE Hasek's regen didn't come up in 09 (DB 2.0). He would probably come up in 2010. The good czech goalie in my current game is either Turek's or Cechmanek's regen, and actually, it's probably Turek.

The 6'6 D-Men? Extremely ... defensive? Screams Kjell Samuellsson to me.

Okay... 2009 draft, Lidas 2.0... A few questions about those regens...

First, can this one actually be somebody else than Mats Sundin?
Relevant info : Consistency -- 17. Realist, Independant, Strong character. Scouts call him a superb two-way player, and would be a power forward, a bit like a better Jeff Carter.

Image

Second, who the heck this one might be?
Relevant info : Consistency -- 17. Unambitions. Scouts call him a strong two-way talent, and an offensive D-Men compared to a slower but better version of Niklas Kronwall

Image

Third...
Can this one possibly be Alexander Mogilny's regen, and if that's the case, why did I pick him with the 115th overall pick (and why did I miss him earlier?)
Relevant info : Consistency -- 13. Extremely ambitious, determined, mellow (THAT SCREAMS MOGILNY). Scouts says that he plays a strong offensive game, and would be a goal-scoring winger amounting to a better version of Michael Ryder

Image

Also fell on a swedish winger considered a better version of David Clarkson, labeled an offensive power forward, and who best ratings are bravery, workrate, teamplay, strength and hitting. ... I kinda made What the Dickens when I realized I picked him quite a bit before Bulin, but still... I just really wonder who this one might be.

Regarding the Slovakian D-Men above...

After looking up a bit (the web, not the database), I came up with a possible answer : Robert Svehla.
...
This said, he looks a bit too much offensive for Svehla. Svehla is actually one inch taller and +-35 pounds bigger accoring to hockey-reference

is this the hasek regen?

The Russian defenseman in the 09 draft is Vladimir Malakhov.
And the Slovakian defenseman is Svehla, I checked that one out from the database. I did wonder too who he was.

With the original database I had Nitty (as his PA is 190+) an Nabokov. They took a lot from my salaries. I drafted Osgood regen (Charly Ciotti) in 2014 1st round, and before the 15-16 season he was ranked 9th best goalie in the whole NHL, and then I sold both my goalies to Al Montoya and 2 1st rounders. ;)

I don't think the Swedish guy can be Kjell Samuelsson, he isn't even in the database as a player, atleast not in Lidas' databases. And I don't think he's in the original database either, he's way too old. But I couldn't find any Swedish defenseman who fits his height. I know that the height and weight can vary a little from the original player but I still couldn't find anyone who he could be. I did draft him in the '09 Draft in the Avalanche Challenge so I'm keen to know who he is.

You might have to wait a little longer than that, eternium. This is a message board, not chat. Not everyone is online at the same time and not everyone is knowledgeable on regens.

Hey hey hey, I wasn't being impatient, I just accidently made a double post and I didn't know how to delete it. But yeah, my bad, should have written a little more than just that so it wouldn't have been just a meaningless post. I was in a little hurry, so...but I know that's only an excuse.

And so that this won't be totally off the subject, watts555, Pinc seems to be the Hasek regen. If he has consistency near 20 and an acrobatic style listed in his scout report, he's definetly your guy.

Russian guy, probably Malakhov, Swede guy, Olausson.
