Which non-player attributes I can edit without changing Coaching Style and Preferred Tactics? Thank you in advance!

Technique, Attacking, Directness & Line Matching are the three attribs you wouldn't want to change then.

In case anyone wants to know what is what:

Code: Select all

Coaching Attributes
Attacking:
1-8 = Defensive
9-13 = No Pref.
14-20 = Attacking

Directness:
1-6 = Patient
7-13 = No Pref.
14-20 = Straightforward
* High attacking + low directness = Flashy Attacking Style
* Low attacking + low directness = Patient Defensive Style

Line Matching:
15-20 = Like to match

Coaching Type:
1-5 = Conditioning-based
6-14 = General
15-20 = Technique-based

That's really useful. I think a copy of that should go into the Guides section so it doesn't get buried in this thread

Sure you can, just keep going, I'll let you know when you get there ;) :ha!:

I'm not sure that this list is exhaustive. I know I saw a staff person with a style that I had never seen before, but I didn't write it down when I saw it and I haven't seen it since. If anyone knows of a style that is not on this list, please PM me. But these should allow anyone get the type of coach they want.

Is there any chance features could be added to change the year of history and draft year for all staff in one simple action? For example if I wanted to turn back histories 2 years, it would show every players 2005-06 stats as the 2003-04 season. That way the histories and draft years from 2006-07 onwards could be added to each players profile.

Absolute and final answer: No

This type of feature was not included due to licensing issues. All development on the EHM series is ceased. It isn't even listed on the SI main web page anymore (although it is still available).

He's talking about the editor, not the game itself.

I was thinking of the start date, sorry. I know the start date is hardcoded or it would have been hacked by now.

I'm not so sure about that, actually. EHM is based on the CM3 engine as far as I remember and CM3 has in fact been hacked to change the start date as you can see here if you look around a little: http://www.champman0102.co.uk/forum/for ... ay.php?f=8

Maybe it can be done with EHM, too.

I won't go into this too much but due to the copy protection on EHM it cannot be done in the same way sadly :(

hey all, quick question

Using the editor, can I add teams to non-playable leagues? I know the playable leagues # of teams are hardcoded into the game, but if I wanted to add my high school team to the USHE league, would that screw up the database or should I be safe?

Thanks in advance!

It will most likely work, but take a backup before just to be safe.

Hello,
The link for the editor on FileFront is dead.

Direction: The Blue Line: Download Database » EHM 2007 » Utilities » Pre-Game Editor v1.6

this is funny - i wanted to do the exact same thing. i hit a speedbump(the edited version won't work on my mac Dx) but when I loaded it up on a PC it worked fine, except, instead of making a new team, I edited one that I didn't care for(ithaca high in this case) to mine, and it worked fine. GL

I'm trying to create myself as a head coach for the New York Rangers, but it claims that the New Club has no room for a head coach, or something along those lines.

So, I tried to displace Tom Renney from the Rangers, and when I clicked the "confirm" button, it said " ' ' is not a valid entry number'. I searched throughout his entire profile, and couldn't find a single field that was empty.

So i tried doing it over again, this time with the Canucks, but the exact same thing happened.

Anyone got any ideas?

Help!

From the beginning: ;)

1.1 install gamefile + license + update 3.04
1.2 install the pregame editor

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.1 Every new database must be placed into a new folder within the "..\Sports Interactive\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database" folder. For example, if you use Lidas Rosters, all the data should be placed into the "..\NHL Eastside Hockey Manager 2007\data\database\LidasDB1.3" folder.

2.2 Load one database, edit all you want to with the Pre Game Editor. You must confirm every change with the confirm button at the bottom left of the screen.

2.3 When you've done all your changes, save the changed database with the save buttom.

2.4 Close the Editior.

2.5 You can open the Editor again to see if your changes have been applied, if you like.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2.1 Load the game.

2.2 Click "new game". If you use more than one database, the game will ask you which one you want to use. If you use only one database (e.g the original database), the game will not ask you to choose.

2.3 Play the game. :joy:
