Why other team AI can offer contract to my RFA? in this case is Adam Larsson..suppose it should be an offer sheet..

And why Larsson name not in my Team Report as unsigned prospect after he became RFA? so weird..

and just now, he received and accept contract from Sabres..

and I got no draft compensation at all..why? I should at least get 3 round pick..

I think this a bug..please fix it..

You do not appear to have his rights anymore. You must not have qualified him properly. He is UFA

Another penalty bug (I seem to rack them up), that confused badly at first. I was watching the highlights and saw a message about Oullet getting sent off the ice but I didn't find any "red text" at first in the play-by-play. I checked the tactics screen and he had a 3 rating but no "off" was marked.

After a while I found the play-by-play message but in white and no mention of the two minutes of PK I had, only about him getting thrown out. Also he had only 10min in the box, not explaining my PK. The next period the "off" magically appeared in the tactics screen but he still only got 10min, not explaining my PK and illogical for a game misconduct.

Ugh. So NHL playoffs a bit messed up in Season 3. I was 1st seed beat 8th seed Chicago in 4 games. Minnesota (2 seed) is currently tied 3-3 with ST Louis (7th seed). Calgary (4th seed) has knocked off the 5th seeded DUcks.

And guess what? Before the StL-Min series is over, I have my next round game scheduled vs Calgary. Yeah, what if St Louis wins game 7?

And before anyone asks--Blues and Hawks were the wild card teams.

How is that wrong? It's division based, Hawks just had to swap because there were 5 teams from Central and only 3 from Pacific, atleast that's how i understand it. Since you were the #1 seed you got the lower of the wild cards to your side of the bracket.

Conclusion, pretty sure it works as it should.

Not to me. St Louis had they won would have been the lowest wild card team left. That means I should have played them.

My Divison:

Canucks
Flames
Ducks

got in as top 3 teams. NO WILD CARDS from this division made playoffs.

Central

Wild
Avalanche
Stars

as top 3. Wild Card teams were St Louis and Chicago.

Oh...now I guess I See. Forgot we do not reset the rankings. My divison wild card team would be Chicago, Central gets St Louis. And they stay in those slots for second round. Right.

The Canadian Hockey League no longer allows goalies to be drafted in the Import Draft. So import goalies can only be drafted through league specific drafts if they are playing in US junior leagues (Canada doesn't allow european players in Jr.A leagues), there may be more to this rule, but Leo Lazarev was drafted to the OHL that way.

Therefore Leo Lazarev playing for the Ottawa 67's does not count as an Import player.

Javs wrote:I'd like to see all Canadian Hockey League roster / transaction rules, such as;

*CHL wide (OHL/WHL/QMJHL)

- All teams have ability to add ANY player in the corresponding leagues protected area to their 50 player protected list until the year of their 20th birthday if the players rights are not owned by any other team.

- Teams having more than three overage players to start the season may continue to rotate them in and out of the lineup until October 16th at which time they must select determine the three that they will keep, the left over overager would be released and be a free-agent.

*OHL Specific

- If a player is not selected as a 15 year-old, he cannot attend an OHL camp that fall. He must wait another season, his 16 year-old year, and he will re-enter the draft. If he is not taken the second time around, he becomes a free agent and can go to the camp of any OHL team who invites him and then therefore be added to any protected list.

- Teams are permitted to register a maximum of four 16 year old players selected in the OHL Priority Selection. Those 16 year old players that are allowed to be signed are the first two 16 year old players selected and a maximum addition of two 16 year old wild carded players in any round of the OHL Priority Selection. All other 16-year-old players selected are eligible to be called up as an “affiliated player” or “floating affiliate player” for a maximum of 10 games or for any OHL regular season or playoff games when such player’s team has been eliminated from competition for that season.

- Contracted players in high school (18 and younger) cannot be traded without the players consent. (No trade cause)

* WHL Specific

- A team can name a maximum of 19 of the players on their Protected List and not on the team roster as Specially Affiliated Players. These players can play WHL games with the permission of their club team.

*QMJHL Specific

- A team can name a maximum of 19 of the players on their Protected List and not on the team roster as Specially Affiliated Players. These players can play WHL games with the permission of their club team.

- Players from the QMJHL's North American region are eligible for the Annual Draft in the calendar year that they turn 16. Teams can select 16 year olds in any of the first five rounds. After that only players 17 years and up are eligible to be drafted. There's a maximum of 12 rounds. (Not sure if this is already active).
A couple updates...

- Each team can place a maximum of 50 players between the ages of 16 and 20 on their Protected List. A player may not be added to the list until they've been eligible for the Draft. This list includes the team's roster. Teams can have a maximum of 25 players on their roster, which would leave 25 spots on the list for future prospects. Teams can make changes to their list throughout the year.

- Limit of 4 16 year olds per team.

- All affiliates are limited to 10 games until there regular team is eliminated.

- (WHL) 15 year olds to affiliate a maximum of 5 games until there regular team is eliminated.

- (WHL) Major Bantam and first year midget players are eligible for the draft, but usually only Major Bantam players are drafted. If a player isn't drafted after his first year midget season he is a free agent and get listed / signed by other teams in the league.

- (QMJHL) First and second year midget players are eligible for the draft, but most players drafted are first year midget players. Any players not selected after there second year midget become free agents and are eligible to be signed / protected by other teams (This might be inaccurate because a few 1997 born players were drafted this year including one in the first round, maybe someone can add to this?). Teams are mandated to draft a min 2 americans per draft. (14 rounds).

LImit of 4 16 year olds applies ONLY to the 25 man roster, not the 50 man protected list.
Protected list gets expanded a bit at the draft, so guys do not have to release players on roster or 50 man list to add new players until after the Mem Cup is over and the 20s graduate. The team drafts based on having 50 for the next season, and is making decisions about who stays and goes the following year. But they do not have to do it right away at the draft.
=15 year old affiliate players are limited to FIVE not TEN games in the WHL. oH wait see you said that.
-every year you see a player in the WHL draft (usually just one) who is over the age of major bantam (14) get picked by a team in the draft. USually it is someone who was on someone else's roster and let go very recently.

In my work on the WHL/Bantam Draft in recent years I never noticed Midget level players being drafted

When going on vacation with an unemployed manager, and have "Apply for position at higher level teams" at no, my manager has now taken two jobs (I resigned from the first one, let it run again, and sure enough, another job).

Not this year, but last year and 2 years prior there were for sure. Late round picks. Just teams adding the guy to their 50 man list really. A couple of 18 year olds and I believe a 19.

Not going to go look it up, but I was watching the draft online in real time all 3 of those years. :-D ANd laughed at 2 of those picks. Laughed hard. None of them were playing in Midget at the time. Two of them were midget aged players who had already played in the WHL. The third was a 19 year old who had played in the league for another team and all 3 had been dropped from one team;s list within a week or two of the draft.

You should post this at SI and upload your game so Riz can have a look

Batdad/Javs -am I correct in thinking the drafting/signing of European/Russian goalies is no longer allowed in Major Junior? And if I am correct, is this reflected properly in EHM:EA?

Yes, you are correct. But I am not sure it is in the game. Riz would have to answer that. No Euro goalies are eligible for CHL unless playing in North American league and permanent residence is listed as North America. Then they would go through the regular draft. I have not checked to see if holds true in the game.

Yes I read that is a relatively new rule, and after briefly reviewing this years QMJHL draft it seems to be true. And to answer your other question, yea import goalies are no longer allowed to be drafted in the import draft, but Ottawa drafted a russian that was playing in the USHL through the OHL draft and he plays on there roster, but does not count against the import limit. As far as I know this is not true in the game.

Not really sure how to know what country Leonid Lazarev has listed as permanent residence (listed where? with the League?)
I'm not sure what Lazarev did before 2013-14, but he fits the criteria of playing (at least one season) in North America and then being drafted into a CHL League http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=272019

I don't think they have to be a permanent resident. I think playing one season in NA is enough.
