The editor loads normally and displays all the data, but the column name on the top are missing past the "age" column. From ID until Age they are there, but from Current Rating, they are missing, it's blank on top and also inside the options screen.

thedeadflag wrote:Hey, I just recently found out about this program, and it's worked great (honestly, fantastic work on making something so comprehensive and easy to use), but with the recent update, every time I try and use the program, it doesn't open, and just hangs my windows explorer. I'm on Windows 10, and that's probably the culprit somehow, but I've tried unblocking the file, running as admin, dropping all security settings, adding exclusions in my firewalls, running in Win7 compatibility...nothing.
I'm sure it's just something my OS is stumbling over and that I'll eventually figure it out, but any thoughts as to what might be stopping it? Like, it doesn't even pop up on the task manager when I run the program. Just altogether confusing stuff, really.
I happen to be running Win 10 and tried. Same thing here. It doesn't show in the Task Manager even, but it's eating ~40% of my CPU like it's loading.

Many thanks.
I gotta hand it to you guys who make software and roster edits, graphic packs, etc... Third party content is the reason EHM07 lived for all these years until EHM:EA, now just EHM, came back.
I loved playing my NHL on XBOX360 and now PS4, but back in the days there was a PC version it was a special thing to play with real board ads, real center ice ads, real goalie masks and etc... all created by enthusiasts. Lack of custom music on newgen NHL really made is lose some of the magic. My point is games are much better because of you people. You rock

Okay, so I might have a solution (I can't say this will work for everyone), as I've been searching around for fixes, and this worked for me.
Basically, for those using Win10 having this problem, it apparently has to do with exe files and how windows handles admin privileges.
1. Change your user account settings to be unsecure, so your account can do whatever, theoretically.
2. Search up the sound settings for your PC, move to the sounds tab, and change "Windows Default" to "No Sounds".
3. Now, you will hopefully be able to run the program. you can switch back to default sounds, and the program should still be able to open up.
For some reason, Windows 10 tripped over itself on this, and created a conflict, and this apparently helps fix it. I had issues again once i moved my user security settings up again, so I suppose I'll just be keeping them all the way down for now. Maybe it won't be that way for any of you.
Anywho, big thanks again to Garfild for this fantastic program!

I'd be very curious to know what changed in versions to make it suddenly not play well with UAC security settings. It had been fine.

Hello I haven't been successful in trying to get this editor to run using Crossover for Mac, does anyone have any hints or reasons behind it?

Only change Visual Studio from 2013 to 2015
Tested on Windows 7 x64 and Windows 10 x64 works fine.

Still same behavior on Windows 10 Home x64 here. Double-clicking to run the program results in nothing, and no running process can then be found in the Task Manager. However if you try to overwrite or move the .EXE, Windows complains because the .EXE is in use. UAC set to default (3rd click up of 4 clicks). Run As Administrator and Compatibility Mode don't do anything. This is off a fresh reboot, with only EHM running.
garfild, what UAC settings did you test under?

Hello!
First: Thank you!!!! This forum is great and this assistant even more!
Second: Just to help solve this: I have exacly the same problem, the past version was fine but this one only loads for ever etc. And I have Win 7. So it's not only because of Win 10.
Thank you!!!!

Tested on Windows 7 x64 and Windows 10 x64 Pro/Home works fine.
UAC set to default (3 of 4 clicks and 4 of 4).
Tested on new installed system with default all settings.

I found a solution to solve the error 41 (Some games were not launching properly) and it solved the assistant not launching problem too:
"How to" translated from french:
- Open the start menu.
- write cmd in the place to look for programms and files.
- right clic on cmd.exe and execute as administrator.
- write in the console: "netsh int ip reset reset.txt" (Without the ") and validate with the key "Enter".
- Then write "netsh winsock reset" (Without the ") and validate with the key "Enter".
- Quit the console, restart the computer and it should work.
- I had to re-update my graphic drivers but I don't know if it is linked.
I hope it will work for you too!
P.S @ Garfild: I know that someone already asked but do you think it would possible to add the "dressed rules", espacially the max number of foreigner dressed? And if yes do you plan on adding it?
It is for courtries like Switzerland were we can already change the max number of foreigners in the Roster, but not dressed so it is a bit useless. Thank you!!

I've been running the game on my Macbook using Wine but PlayOnMac lately. I've had trouble getting this to even run without using Parallels or something similar. Anyone running this on a Mac?

So, is there a way to edit Club History with this software or any other? I'm playing with Winniped Jets and it bothers me to have guys like Selanne there. I'd like to edit these to represent authentic information. Also, is there a way to retire jerseys manually? Oh, and thanks for this nice little editor, btw!

Has anyone had a problem with attributes lowering after you've edited a player or a staff member?
Seems like everyone's stats I've edited have decreased a lot, even if their potential is higher.. in fact, it's almost like their potential doesn't matter since those attributes keep dropping.

The Attributes connect directly to CA (Current Ability) not PA (Potential Ability); PA can limit future growth, but doesn't connect directly to a player's current Attributes.
Attributes have to fit within an average/range, depending on CA.
As well, the Player Role will have an impact on Attributes (again, fitting within an average/range).
The exact averages/ranges are not known, but they seem similar to 07 in the testing I've done; there's no editing directions for the new Player Roles, but common sense helps (if you change a defensive_d such that he's an offensive_d it's likely your edits won't stick).

Thanks for this. Really great app, saves a lot of time compared to the EHM07 saved game editor when you don't have to re-load the save every time you've made edits.

I was able to run EHM Assistant on Linux.
1) First, install the game through Steam using PlayOnLinux.
2) Using winetricks install on a virtual drive with Steam all .net Framework, in particular 4.5
3) Run the EHM - Steam will install the rest of the necessary components.
4) Steam allows you to import software from outside of Steam. Use it to run EHM Assistant.
Steam will ask you, which file you want to use and EHM Assistant will apear in Steam Library Menu.
More info: pm
Thanks.
