What has happened to J.S. Giguere. Halfway through the game, he's playin great, saving everythin, making 16 saves. End of the 2nd period, he's conceded 4 goals and is now 23-27... What has happened to the great Giggy!?

Bruins score two with the goalie pulled to send it into overtime and Bergeron with the SO winner. Poor Sens, Timmeh's save on Alfredsson has got to be the save of the week at least. :joy:
Easily the most exciting minutes for the Bruins this season. So do they pick Hall or Seguin ? :D

Anže Kopitar now leads the NHL in scoring. :D

Looks like this will be the year where he takes the step up and becomes one of the big guys and the Kings become a playoff team.

Great game for MTL after trailing 3-1 after the first they win 5-4 in OT. Mike Cammalleri blow up with 3 goals one assists. He's going well these times, is line with Gomez and Gionta play really well since 3 games and they are very dangerous they make alot of scoring chances.

And the addition of M-A Bergeron as really help the PP. He got 2 g 1 a and it's all on the PP. He's really make a good job. Until they keep him on the PP and not on the PK.

I'm scared of the Kings. Them and the Av's have been major shocks. I'm waiting for the Av's to tail off abit, but with the Kings are seriously good! And Kopitar, not bad for a round 10 fantasy draft pick. :-p

I've always thought this can happen only in EHM :-D

True :-D Nevertheless, great job Bruins. Games of that kind don't come too often.

Canucks smash the Leafs, with Raymond netting two and Bobby Lu having a strong game in goal. Another guy got injured though, as Welly will be out for a couple of days with a broken toe. Good news is Mathieu Schneider is coming back, so let's hope for the better

Vancouver got a player back and another replace him on the injure reserve. :-D Kyle Wellwood ( as usual ) is back on the injured reserve with a broken toe.

Actually, IIRC, Thomas was in net for for the first of those two 3rd period goals to tie the game up. Still, it was quite an exciting bit of hockey. Honestly, these guys are doing better than I thought they would without Lucic and Savard. How about that Thomas save on the Alfredsson shot? YOWZA!

I agree with what you're saying. But if you go to court over an offense you may have commited. Saying "it's my first time" won't keep you out of jail. :-p
Actually, sometimes it does. Maybe first time offenders get off easy.

EDIT: Some days I just can't type right.

I meant to say "Many" first time offenders get off easy. I know in the US, if you've got a clean record it will be taken into consideration when your punishment is being handed out. Not all of the time but often enough. I think it's usually for non-malicious crimes.

It also helps to be the poster-child of the NHL, and not some shmuck-face no one will miss.

Artukhyn was already fined once. Campbell even said that was why Ovechkin was fined. Next time (supposedly) Ovi gets suspended. Now... Mike Richards...curious how you think on that one Stinson? I am torn. I think it was unintentional as a head shot but it was a blind side hit. Booth needed to be more aware, but once puck was gone Mike shouldd have held up. I think a fine was maybe in order but a small one as a warning. And it is not like Booth is a bum.

Mike Richards is one of my fav player but i really don't like what i've seen. He could have brake or something to avoid him. I know Richards like to play physical but this time it's going to far. In less than one week we got a lots of incident like this, Booth, Tucker and i've read somewhere that Steve Ott injured somebody with a dirty hit. The NHL must do something it's about to be out of control.

Things were too good for the Thrashers for the beginning of the season. They loss Kovalchuk for 1 month with a broken foot. darn it, when everything goes well, something always happen! What they're gonna do without Ilya? ](*,)

Richards on Booth....thats hockey. You hit the player if given the opportunity, Booth put himself in a vulnerable position which was not Richards' fault. You dont "let up" in hockey.

He hit him with his elbow not with his shoulder, that's not hockey at all. Sorry but a big clean hit don't knock out a player like Booth was, even if it's not the fault of Richards. Plus he hit the head, not the body.

The real problem is not WHO are in fault. The problem is than hit on the head are too frequently. The NHL must made a new clear rule against theses hits before someone will be get out of the ice in a casket.

I have nothing a good body check... But a hard hit shoulder vs head... NO THANKS!!!

Who remembers, how Darcy Tucker hits Sami Kapanen? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1E1EaHOQre0 These hits aren't hockey.

This hit is a classic! :-D Seriously those kind of hit are a real big good hit in hockey. Kapanen is kind of loss after the hit just like Toews and i think it's ok. Been knockdown like Booth, almost unconscious, isn't hockey at all. Like many of us said, Booth was hit on the head and that is unacceptable.

The Leafs got their first win of the season!!!!!!!!!!! :-o :-p

Yeah, Thrashers are definitely going to struggle without Kovalchuk...

I wonder if this Kovalchuk injury makes it more or less likely that he's traded at the deadline. If they do really poorly while he's out, they might find themselves to be looking like they won't make the playoffs. And if that's the case, will they decide to get what they can for him and rebuild?

Losing agaisnt the Leafs is ALWAYS embarassing Getzlaf, whatever your team is. :-D But to be the first in 9 games to give them victory sucks a little bit.

I've got a funny quote about this game. It was the first time in NHL history that the two goalie who's playing have the same name, Jonas.
