But that wasn't my point at all.
I mostly play EHM using the Challenge rules, so i) I don't really pay that much attention to data-real life accuracy, I just work with what I have on the roster, ii) I'm not allowed to use the editor, and even if I was, I wouldn't do it. Plus there is no save game editor available for Mac, as far as I know (if you happen to know of a Mac version of the editor, I would be much obliged).
However, most of us here would just wish for the Lidas/Manimal roster updates to be as accurate as possible, but, as you may well know, editing databases is very time consuming, and things like altering birthplaces are too minor a change and have to less an impact on gameplay to be of high priority to the editor. I just happened to notice this couple of mistakes and pointed them out to Manimal so that he doesn't have to waste his time searching for them.
Manimal: I'll probably have some other minor tweaks like these in the future, so if you think that's pushing it, you just let me know.
One thing I noticed since last time: Jack McIlhargey (coach, Flyers) has his surname spelled with double lowercase "L", while it should be capital "i" followed by lowercase "L". It seems to be a mistake that's been there since the original rosters.

They can play left one season and center the next one. My point was that you can tweak with the saved game editor. But tweakings the Db is fine too but probably time consumming.
But that's the point of this thread. Manimal keeps the db updated, so minor details like this can get fixed.

I did a search but didn't turn up anything...
Colten Teubert sure makes a lot of money in my game...$7.8 million to be exact. I think there was an extra zero added in by mistake.

Thanks for the suggestions guys!
If I add them to the DB, anyone can use them. Changes to a saved game is for yourself only(or if you send the file to someone)

Thanks, I changed him now. Please, feel free to keep posting those kind of changes. I beleive I have someone trying to set the player positions for the NHL, but I cant remember right now so post away!

There is something strange with the retired numbers. They don't always show up. If someone has a solution to this then it is very welcome.

Oops! Changed that now

You could choose a date for the number(s) to be retired. I'm att the wrong computer now, but I think its, example: "15 9 2006" (without " ") after player name and team.
It will show up as news in the game at chosen date.
Negative is to find the ones thats not working, which could take some time.
edit* the example was written the right way.

Matt Gilroy's birthplace is spelled wrongly in the database: should be North Bellmore not North Bellemore (without the "e").

Would also be nice if the game called the Jets(tm) instead of just Winnipeg.
I dunno if it's the same problem in your latest update but even with the right corrections in the PreGame Editor the game still doesn't call
them Jets...if you see what I mean...

First off, I want to thank you for all of your hard work. LidasDB is the best out there.
Secondly, I noticed that Gazprom-OGU Orenburg is listed as playing in the Russian 3rd division (Pervaya league) when they actually play in the Vysshaya league.
I just wasn't sure if this was a mistake, or if it's just due to the fact that he leagues are hard coded. Thanks.

It is because the Vysshaya League hasn't been updated. The correct teams will be in the next db

Hawerchuk doesn't exist in the db. I have not gotten to adding staff for junior teams yet. Hopefully I will find the time for it before I release the rosters(I have lots of things to add)

I don't know if that has already been mentionned in another thread but the BUF Sabres' name HSBC Arena has been changed in First Niagara Center.

just an FYI MANIMAL for when you get to the WHL. Moose Jaw Warriors in the db have a total capacity of 500. This is definitely not the case, and especially in their new building. The new rink is Mosaic Place and it holds 4500 people. Even in the old barn "The Crushed Can" it was approximately this amount. So just a typo to change

I'm not certain if the Nordiques Challenge DB contains the same surnames and first names as the 3.2 DB or not but I did notice a player named Kristoffer N (as in, his surname consists of one letter) who was ranked quite high in the 2009 NHL Draft. Not sure if this player exists when the game begins or if the name is randomly generated... either way, unless I'm totally off-base and you do happen to have a last name such as "N" in Sweden, then it might be best to remove that surname from the names tab.

Thanks for the heads up!
I noticed that there was a player called Jonas N in the db. I have changed him now

Although it's written pretty much everywhere that the MTS Centre of Winnipeg has a 15'015 capacity, the sold out games will be at 15'004. Dunno why but it's been confirmed by the preaseason games...

Two small things of note for the new WHL release,
1. I think you changed Swift Current to the Central division at some point, and moved Med Hat to East to try and get things balanced for an old version of the db. However...with both teams in the DB (I think it was Swifty that got tossed because of too many teams at one point) you should move Med Hat back to Central and Swift Current to East.
2. Mentioned upthread...but got sidetracked. Check the capacity for Moose Jaw Warriors. It is set at 500. They have gorgeous new rink!\\

Hi! I hope this is the right topic...
It would be awesome to have these following Kärpät (SM-league) players added to the next roster update: Ville Pokka (D), Tomi Körkkö (F), Markus Korkiakoski (F) and Simon Suoranta (F).

I have moved the teams back and added the Mosaic Place.
BTW, this time it's the Calgary HItmen that's the odd team out

Tampa has two assistnat managers IRL, but there is only one spot in game so BriseBois gets the job in Norfolk(that he actually also has IRL)

I haven't gotten the Finnish research yet so I'm not sure if I have the time to add it to the first release
