Yes. I don't know why it wouldn't be?
But make sure to download "1998/99 TBL Retro Rosters (EHM 1)" not the "1998-99 CJ Rosters v0.9" that is here on the first post.

hi,
is there any way I can edit this database to make the british ISL league playable? its so frustrating that the rosters have been created and the teams are there and not be able to play them.
is there a way I can just copy the teams into the eihl and remove the eihl ones.
thanks.

You can add new leagues to an EHM 1 database using the
EHM 1 Editor. There is a lot of information on creating new playable leagues here:
http://www.ehmtheblueline.com/forums/vi ... 10&t=17520
To create the EHM 1 format database, either use the Steam Workshop version of the database or just use the Import function in the game to convert the EHM 2007 version to EHM 1.

thanks
I have managed to get the league as showing when I press to start a new game however the league shows an explanation mark next to the league name, it states 0 clubs in database, however I have populated the league with the clubs via the structure section in the ehm1 editor.

Hi, is there a way to remove the made up players and staff in WPG, MIN and CBJ teams? I´d love build a team from scratch and see how we do.

I think so.....you should be able to edit [remove the players/staff from the team(s) you want to have be blank at startup] using the EHM07 version of the database and the PreGame Editor; once you've done your editing you'd import the EHM07 database into EHM1
Or (I think) you can use Archi's EHM1 Editor to edit the database when it's in the EHM1 format (remove the players/staff from the team(s) you want to have be blank at startup)
You might want to have an Owner (Chairman) for whatever club(s) you're editing as I don't think you can hire one as the GM; you also may want to start with the earliest possible start date (July 2nd IIRC) to allow yourself the best opportunity to hire staff/sign free agents
FYI - AFAIK there's no way to start "right before the Draft"

Thanks, I use the editor to removed players from CBJ and started a new game. Managed to get 28th place in overall standings with Tim Sweeney being leading scorer with 69 points.
This roster update is awesome!

Hi,
I notice that some players, who are created in the database are not completely finish....like Conklin Ty, Seidenberg Dennis, Gerber Martin, Weaver Mike, ...( they don't have any statistics).
So when we launch the game we can't find them, they don't appear

And the team of Winnipeg has no stadium, no attendance, no income.

Thanks for the info.
At the moment nobody is working on player ratings for this database. I am working on some other stuff now and then but no release is imminent.
Someone has updated the info on the Winnipeg arena in the db

Ok. In fact, there is a lot of work to do to create players. There is only top players of the future drafts

There was never an attempt/desire to create every player in history who played at least 1 NHL game and/or every player in history who was ever drafted into the NHL (that would increase the work required from dozens of players per year to hundreds of players per year.....and with regens being created every year in EHM having such low level players seemed unnecessary) - IIRC in most cases the "cut off" for a player to be included was 200 IRL NHL games played in a career (100 for goalies)

Ok, I understand. I do it myself. I will create players who played 100 games minimum and 10 for goalies.
I have already created the goalies.
Thx for your job Nino

Are you doing an Excel file of them? If you do, you can send the file to me or Nino so we can take a look at it. If it's good we can implement it into this database.

Those players should be in the database as they have the number of games required to. Are you sure they're not in the DB? (can't look myself right now)

No, i use the editor alpha 1.8 directly in the database

You are right. Some players are already in the database but they don't have any statistics (current and potential abilities). So we can't use them
Personally, i create players only with potential ability cause i'm not good enough to make current ability

Just to clarify terminology...CA and PA are Attributes or "ratings" (statistics are goals/assists...player history)
Deathrow wrote:You are right. Some players are already in the database but they don't have any statistics (current and potential abilities). So we can't use them
I'm not sure what you mean by they can't be used...do you delete them all? The game itself doesn't ignore such players, but if you select less than a maximum sized database the players may not be used
At startup the game itself populates all needed player values (so anything left blank or "0" gets populated by the game with a value...selecting a Full/maximized database makes a difference too, as if you don't select Full the game won't use all available players in the database)
Players with a 0 for CA/PA are going to get random numbers, and each new game the majority of such players won't get good enough values to even make the NHL; of all of the players in the 1998 database with a 0/0 CA/PA I suspect few (likely less than 10%) actually played a game in the NHL
Deathrow wrote:Personally, i create players only with potential ability cause i'm not good enough to make current ability
You don't need to give players
all ratings/Attributes...so just giving the players you're talking about a reasonable PA should help you "see" these players ingame
For a PA for "lower level NHLers" like the players you mentioned, I'd suggest a -13 or a -7 (or maybe a -14 if they were a really high NHL draft pick, like 1st or 2nd round)

Seidenberg has 90/-8 so I'm not sure why you listed him.
We would much appreciate if you could create the players by spreadsheet instead. That way more people could enjoy your work and someone wouldn't have to do the work all over again.
I'm working on this db now by updating the draft info from the past four years(98-97-96-95) and thus creating some players that are missing.
I'm slow but steady and the db is improving

Ok thanks for the advises guys...
And sorry for my first annotation. I didn't use the last version of the tbl retro 98 update. I was using an oldest.

Sorry it's a bit confusing. They were made for my 98/99 rosters a long time ago (2013).

The joys of challenges helping find random things:
I cannot for the life of me figure out why Jason Dawe is a Group 5 UFA (potentially) in the Islanders Challenge. In my game under the contract screen it says "Expires, June 1999 (Unrestricted Free Agent- Group V). From what I can find of the 2006 CBA:
"Means any Player who has completed ten (10) or more professional seasons (minor league or NHL seasons, but excluding any season in Major Juniors), and who did not earn in the final year of his SPC more than that year's Average League Salary,..."
I see Jason as having professional games in:
92-93, 93-94, 94-95, 95-96, 96-97, 97-98 and in my game 98-99. That's 7 seasons, not 10. (Heck, he's 25... so there's no way for 10 seasons!)
Not sure if this is a game or roster error, but thought I'd start here before I post in the SI forums as a game bug.

Sounds very weird.
