Just checking before I bother signing up for SI's stuff:

I can "Print" stats for my team to text from the roster page, and from the stats page... until I sort the stats by points.

After I sort it, I get the error:PLAYER_STATS_MANAGER::get_stat_value. () - the type is invalid

I'm also getting the same error if I go into another save.

I'm afraid that's an issue for reporting on the SI Forum (along with uploading a copy of the saved game via their FTP site).

I'm just now starting the 2019-2020 season, but there have been no new NHL awards awarded since the 2016-2017 season. I have no idea why, but it just doesn't happen. I can't vote for the Vezina leader, there is no notification, and the awards tab shows nothing after the 2016-2017 season.

What do I do?

This is well worth reporting on the SI Bugs Forum so that Riz can take a look. He'll also need to see a copy of your saved game which you can upload via FTP.

This isn't exactly a bug, but Joel Edmundson, playing for the Denver Cutthroats in the CHL is listed as 498 pounds. I seriously doubt he's that heavy LOL

Fixed that a long time ago

Prior the start of 2018-2019 season I noticed that attributes of many many NHL (and AHL) players have decreased a considerable amount. I have not noticed this happening before previous seasons. I first thought that this was just about my own team and a problem with coaching, but when I started to look for replacements for my regressed players, It quickly became clear that this is a league wide issue. Might be affecting other leagues also, I haven't paid that much attention to those, so can't really tell.

There is also a "bug" that causes NHL teams to hire scouts with really bad attributes as head coaches, and then keep firing them after 30 games or so.

Version is 15.7 at the moment, but I have played my current game for a while, so I started with an earlier version.

edit. I have been rebuilding the Leafs for a couple of years now, and now I don't feel like continuing this game anymore since most of my well developed players are suddenly on AHL level (Finn, Erixon, Reid Boucher, Nylander...) and a couple of players I just traded for suddenly collapsed (Matt Read, Connor Murphy, Matt Martin). Well, early access is early access...

Did this occur since the most recent biweekly update? The recent change (reduction/redistribution) in Attributes is not a bug; the Attribute adjustment is to better represent the new Player Roles and avoid "superplayers"

FYI - the changes affected all players (so players aren't "suddenly on AHL level" because the AHL lowered/changed too)

I also noticed (playing with Blainville with update prior to the latest one) that players such as McDavid, Eichel, Hanifn are really, really bad at NHL level. Ok, they are not supposed to be Gretzkys, but they barely reached 30 (!!?!) points

I will start new NHL game (latest update) and maybe things have changed a bit.

This concern has been raised a number of times, with the response always being "there's never been a database tweaked for EHM:EA before, wait for the next TBL roster update" (which should be soon now)

Was the default database built for EA?

Looking at my savegame in 2021:
MacDavid (Whitecotton) had 24, 49, 59,81,68,66 points in each season.
Eichel (Warsofsky) spent 2015-16 at Boston U, then had 46, 31,50,63,62
Hanifn (Hurley) took until 18-19 to really make the show, has been solid for Arizona at 6.9 AvR for a couple of years.

Not sure what case that supports- but I do know that in EHM it's hard for the rookie to every be a 70 point scorer at 19, it just doesn't happen in the game. I would be worried if we're using guys who haven't played a single NHL game as the example as to why a game is broken, after all, had we said in 1999 that Stefan would never score 41 points, you'd call the simulation broken.

Also of note, MacDavid ended up on a so-so Ottawa team that still hasn't made the playoffs by May 2021, and has no top shelf offensive player outside of two defensemen (Karlsson and some American I can't easily ID, was with the coyotes until '14-15 then NYR). Eichel's Buffalo team has only made the playoffs twice Ironcially they just signed O'Reilly and he's their leading scorer. He also didn't develop elite attributes- 16 in shooting and handles, 18 in off the puck and passing, 13 in speed.

Players developed very fast at a very young age in EHM07
That doesn't seem to be the case in EHM:EA, and that requires some editing adjustments for players that are likely to make the jump to the NHL at 18
It'll be interesting to see how they do when the final 2014-15 database is released

IMO these are elite Attributes

During July of 2015-16 season, I was trying to have a look at my OKC farm team line up with the coaches input. Not all the players were selected to be dressed and as it was there were only 18 names there and I knew I didn't have enough goalies on the team so there was a temp goalie there. When I went to start selecting them I pressed the box to the left of this goalie's name and it crashed. The crash message didn't say anything more than the game was shutting down and if it found an error solution...... I am running Win 8 64-bit on an AMD A-10

So there was a delayed penalty coming for my team, Coyotes scored and after the goal my player was sentenced to a 2min hooking penalty

Are you sure there were not two delayed penalties?

I'm not convinced that practice is working properly. I accidentally left my guys on all intense into Christmas, and then reduced skating and conditioning on most to medium. The only ones who aren't 100% are those who are NOT at intense conditioning and skating.

I had always understood it was near suicide to leave guys on intense on both, but the only ones not cracking are those still going crazy in practice.

After some games looking at the ratings the three stars are not shown until you leave the game simulation screen. This minor bug also happened from time to time in EHM 07

Minor thing that doesn't really affect gameplay, only history (all time history, not when viewing past seasons results). But after the 2019/20 season I got news reports saying my team had hit a new all time low for regular season wins (26) and points (56). My team had 46 wins and 100 points though.

This past season I also had two players on IR that got stuck on it for about 10+ days total. Thought I did something wrong like accidently put them on IR again (is it even possible when 100% healthy?). Sometimes I'm a bit "trigger happy" and move too fast. But I haven't had this happen in the past.

Are you sure you didn't put them on the 24-day IR?

Nope. Thought about it but that wasn't the case. Neither player was unavailible for that long (only about 10-14 days), plus their contracts was still counting against the cap.

I think it's mistake from researcher. He should be in Toronto Marlboros. I suggest move this post to database issues. but it's funny see 15year old player in AHL
