So I was playing a game in My Boston Bruins 2005-06 save. The game was tied 2-2 heading into a shootout until this happened:



I thought Russell's goal got called off, but when I looked on the Around The League Scoreboard after, it said we won in overtime, and no box score was made . Gaborik, Visnovsky, Rinne, Savard, Paquette, Malakhov, Pavelski, Robitaille, and Russel don't get a point, and it's like the game was never scheduled:



For example, take a look at Rinne's game log's:



Nothing to be found. NOTE: This isn't the first time this has happened to me... Has happened many times before when I thought the game was heading to a shootout.

I've had the weirdest thing happen.

Regular season game against the Avalanche on 22nd January 2018. Goldobin which i've just aquired, playing instead of Ehlers which is out for 3 weeks, is LW on the 1st line. He missed in the shootout.



I win in the shootout as the image shows.

Then in the news i get a message that Goldobin played in the AHL All Stars Game. In the same night on the 22nd January 2018. You can see that he had an assist that night.



I guess i've just got Superman in one transaction...

When in the Eastern Conference Finals in my Bruins 2005-06 save, we go down 3-0. 3 straight wins later we tie the series at 3. It goes to overtime. It is the 3rd overtime and Mikael Laviolette becomes the hero. 118 minutes it takes to knock off the Devils in game 7:



But then we have to play the next day.. in Nashville. I have to wonder how the players can play this game.

Made a team out of all free agents and forgot to manage my salary. I was around 30 million under the league minimum. Oops.

Also, first time I've seen a team forfeit a game:



They only have 12 players, poor Chicago won't sign or send enough players down.

I once ran a game in EHM 2007 playing as a team in the UHL where I acquired nothing but enforcers and set them all to Berserk. I forfeited probably 7 games one season, because so many guys were suspended together but i was limited to how many guys I could have signed at any one time. That was a fun save... still made the playoffs that season, too.

Carrying the puck to goal?

Had a similar incident few months back. If memory serves, a forward tried a pass back to the blueline but missed the pointman by a mile. A delayed penalty had been called almost simultaneuosly and the goalie was heading toward the bench for an extra attacker all the while puck slid toward the own net. Looked pretty hilarious when the goalie just skated past the puck

That's a good point, an own goal wouldn't result in a recorded SOG, but still be rewarded to a player and would naturally be counted in a player's shooting percentage rather than excluded.

If my memory serves correctly few seasons backwards IRL in NHL a player scored a his first NHL goal without recording a shot on goal so I have no clue how his sh% was recorded after that. Not the same but close

Has to be the most lopsided game i've ever seen.

Seems I got Kuznetsov from waivers, after trading Gallagher away for a 1st pick and Kaller Yamamoto (not a bargain I'll confess)

But hey, Kuznetsov is in Montreal now, looking for a second SC in a row

Why did you trade Gallagher? And why to Washington? Were they bottom feeders and had a high chance at #1 overall or what?

I didn't write properly :

Kuznetsov was put on waivers by Washington.
I thought it might be a good steal to try take him, I dont have many options in center : Galchenyuk, Jenner, Bitten, Fillipula..

For Gallagher :
I needed free cap space for Kuznetsov and I have some power forwards who can do the job too (De la Rose and Shaw are doing nicely).
I traded Gallagher to Hurricanes for Yamamoto and a 1st round pick.
It was tough to loose him but at the end my team is more balanced and my center is better.
