EHM The Blue Line

Hey Archi! I've been fiddling around with the concept of a modern WHA for quite some time. I have a question regarding the lower age limit. Where would I find the tab or flag to lower it? Currently I have set the flag so that junior players under contract are signable, but I can't offer them a contract.

I've got it working so that my WHA teams are able to secure mid-top tier NHL players, but I've also run into an issue with NHL rights. I was using the 7.3 nhl32 database. I had 1 team sign Nick Ritchie to a 3 year contract, and another team signed Josh Morrissey to a mega dollar 5 year deal, however half way through the first year of both these contracts, there NHL teams came to an agreement with them so as soon as the season was over they left the WHA team and went back to the nhl. Even though under contract.

Anyways any help or tips regarding this would be helpful.

Also wanted to say great work on the database! I've been using it for as long as I can remember lol! And having an absolute blast building these expansion teams into perennial cup contenders!

Hi bash - I assume you meant to address this to me and not archi...the age minimum is under transfer rules extra rules. However, as a "professional" league, I have found that you cannot offer a contract to anybody under 18, even if you set the setting to 16 or 17.



I too have run into the WHA teams signing NHL restricted free agents (much like the KHL teams do when NHL teams don't come to terms with their RFAs) but as the NHL club maintains their rights, it is really their priority when they come to terms with said RFA. There is likely a setting somewhere which could perhaps prevent the RFA from jumping back to the NHL immediately and instead force them to run out their WHA contract (much like KHL contracts) but I have not found it yet and it could very well be hard-coded into the KHL-NHL relationship and not duplicatable for a brand new custom WHA league.

Lucstar88 - that's a known bug (for me anyways). It's really annoying and it's on my list to try to get to the bottom to. That and the lack of detail in some of the scouting reports and "likes/dislikes" not showing up in the player profiles even though they are in the game.

Do you think there is a way we could set the league up as a Junior league while raising the maximum age? Then having said league act and perform like a professional league would?

You mixed Davos's years in their championship history. Some seasons in which they were runners-up you put it under "winners". They have 31 titles in real life, in this game 36

Hi! I've played this game for about a month now and I recently found this great idea of NHL 36. I've read the whole thread now and I must say that what you have done here seems absolutely awesome! Great work!!

I was getting pumped up about getting to manage my old beloved team Quebec Nordiques. But tonight when I finally decided to try this out I couldn't download the database and the logos. Got the error messade "404 - file not found".

I know I'm 2 years behind you guys, but is there anyway I could get my hands on these great files??

Are the rosters in this game up-to-date with 2018-2019 or is it still 2017-2018 rosters?

Hi guys thanks for the continued interest in NHL36. I've updated the links below. The last update for NHL36 was September 29, 2018. It is updated for the 18-19 season, so 17-18 NHL stats and 18-19 rookie and prospect lists will be accurate. But it has not been maintained since that September date.

I have discontinued updating NHL36 as I develop my NHL32X project and I encourage everybody to check it out. It is fully updated with transfers, extensions, prospect and future draft updates and graphics. It's a bit of a different concept so I can understand some my wish to continue playing with NHL36 which is great - I'm just not going to be updating it for now. Maybe next season I'll do an update of it.

Loved this project and hoping to try it again. Fingers crossed for a 2020 update for NHL 36 with 2019-20 rosters.

anyone know if this database is still download able I tried to download it but the links say the files are missing or deleted

when i go to open up the database it gets stuck at 86% at Financial information and then it stops responding is that a editor problem or a database thing?

any update soon or this DB is discontinued ?

I know yours is 36 but can have one with 35 teams because because to get NHL divisions geographical and not rename a Team and Nashville in Eastern Conference added Kansas City but 2 things I knotice is Western Conference uneven and no T-Mobile Center aka Sprint Center to choose from and Schedule List can't change from 4 total Divisions to 8 because I have 4 in each league.

Hey i try to put 36 team and ur model league and schedule in update Rosters 2024 2025 but cant complète I do the same modèle as u but not work why ? I use pivot rooster and not able to created all good but when i try the league in nhl team sélect not team there but in the game in nhl the 40 teams are there but can puck up one in star of the game can only pick national team weird i do that same league of u 3 years ago now dont remember or i do that lol need help to created 36 team nhl playable
