I just send my goalie prospect to AHL (21 yo Marcus Högberg), I let him 3 years in SHL with Linköping and now in AHL he played only 11 games in 59 games. Is here any posibility to increase his ice-time ?

Get rid of the other goalie hos gets more ice time, or take control over the AHL team.

Logical way is to control the AHL team or just send him to another team. Maybe ECHL or loan him somewhere else. He might not be good enough for that AHL team and the starter there maybe better. They're still making tweaks to player development.

Hey, i'm new to this website, so i'm not really sure where to post this, but is there any way to change "Sven Bartschi" to the real spelling of "Sven Baertschi?"

Drafted a Clayton Keller in 2016. Scouts have him as a 2nd line center for the future. Came in to camp/pre-season in 2018 and impressed a lot! Decided to send him down to Portland rather then CHL and he is putting up serious points down there. Called him up during the Barkov injuryspell and he moved up to that 1st line and played great. Decided to send him down anyway when Barkov got back. Now the team has been struggling on the 3rd line so decided to scratch Kruger and slotted Keller in on C there. He has Pirri/Lewis on his wings and they are tearing it up now. BUT...will I ruin his growth playing around 13-18min/game on the 3rd line (including 2nd PP line)? Or is that a OK line to play on as a young player if he is expected to "only" become a top 6 guy?

If he is doing well, then I see no problem having him there for a season or so

Anyone who had use Phillip Schultz from Rodovre in Denmark. You can draft him in 2018. He had good determtion, so i think about use him, but will hear if anyone had tried him.

In my game all my scouts give him a one star future rating so I wouldn't expect much.

I have been looking at him to in my game, he is currently ranked #90 by ISS in their midterm ranking, as in your game he has high determination, and my scouts rave about that he is really proffesional, wich could suggest he has a good chance to hit his PA, he was drafted by Kootenay in the import draft but decided to sign a 3 year deal and stay in Rodovre. Since i lack center depth i will probably try to draft him in the 3rd or 4th round. My scouts rate him from 1 to 3 stars, my head scout Håkan Andersson is the one who has him rated at 3 stars.

Hi guys I have a big dilemma here:

I'm at the end of year one with Buffalo Sabres and tanked it so I got the 1st overall pick. 7 out of 10 scouts advise me to pick Patrik Laine as a 1st pick, and the other ones Matthews and Chychrun. Some of my coaches advise to pick Matthews, but most of them say Laine too. I need a good scoring winger in my team so that would make sense, but a LD like Chychrun could also be of use. I know that in almost all of my games Laine became really good offensively so I'm tempted to go with him, but I'm asking you what you would do if you were in that situation?

Thanks!

Remember that those are all probably gonna be great players! Choose the one that you need a position filled for the future the most. ;)

Would there be a upside to signing a prospect up from a College hockey team and send him down to the OHL (etc) that have drafted him? Or does the player tend to progress the same no matter where he plays? I'm not sure if Canadian junior leagues are better from a competative perpective + College hockey isn't actually represented as a league in the game.

Not entirely sure this is the right thread to ask this in, but here goes:
In EHM:EA (or w/e you should call it these days) what is the average expected growth per season for a young player? Cause I managed to pick up an unknown finnish player named Onni Ventelä who doesn't seem to exist IRL (according to eliteprospects.com) but who was clearly already there before regen day. I didn't tick the "fill teams with fake players" or w/e it is called. So not sure where he came from. Anyways, when I put him into my prospects spreadsheet on April 4th 2016 he had an attribute total of 248, on september 4th he had a attribute total of 272, a gain of 24 attribute points in 5 months. 3 of which went to stamina, 2 to speed and strangely enough like 3-4 points to mentals. I picked him up for like 90,000kr (about 9,000$) and now he's ranked #26 for the NHL Draft next year. The growth just seems incredibly unrealistic. So I'm wondering if this is normal, or if I'm on to something with my training setup?

Well I don't think we can call that unrealistic. Alot of young players are growing quickly at a certain age. I've got a couple of players in my game that gained 20 pts in a year. In EHM 07 it wasn't like that at all since players were mostly starting with better attributes from the start but I really like how players develop in EHM: EA.

Yeah, but 20 pts in a year and over 20 in less than 6 months is pretty much worlds apart. I haven't put in new values yet. But from a glance he's gained another Speed, taking him from 15-18 speed in 9 months. Really doubting I will be able to hold on to him for long in Swe-2, sadly :/

Edit: It's now been a full year. He ended the year having gained 40 attribute points in 12 months. He won Rookie of the year, Forward of the year, Point scorer of the year, top assists of the year and player of the year. His Speed is now at 20 (it was at 16 at the start of the year), and all this while only starting about 70% of the games due to taking part in the U-20 Finnish team (where he only got about 6 min per game tops) and having to sit out some games due to Condition issues (I had him on "Carry puck", not knowing that drains absurd amounts of condition per game)

Edit2: His NHL draft ranking is now #14 also. Of the 7 unknown youngsters I picked up for less than 10k$ each 6 made it into the NHL draft rankings this year(14, 16, 80, 140ish, 160ish and 200). Gotta love scouting!

Playing with the Panthers I see... same here.

I also just got through my second season and Clayton Keller was also my pick at #17. The entire draft seemed pretty poor with very few 3 star players or better from what I could see. I'll be looking over all the undrafted players for sure cuz it was such a weak draft.

If you haven't yet, bring up Grimaldi. I had to bring him up early in the season due to injuries and he went on to score 27 goals for me and helped me get to the second round of the playoffs.

Maxime Comtois, 20yo, currently plays in the Memorial Cup. Why can I only sign him to a 2y ELC (see the start date). Or am I missing something? My rights to him would expire on 01-Jun-2019,so I desperately need to sign him. I acutally wanted to sign him to an ELC the last season, but had the same problem, that only a 2y ELC was possible. That's why I waited another year.

Ok, I offered him this 2y deal anyways, but set the salary well below his demands. He rejected the offer and now I can offer him a 3y deal. Strange.

I haven't seen him be anything but a top prospect. I got him with my Yotes save, but he was only drafted a few months ago, so we'll see how he pans out. Maybe he'll be in the team next year because Mikkel Bødker's contract is up and he wants 8.5 mil per. Somebody's getting traded at the deadline.

Ok, so i was kinda leery drafting players with lower ratings but have just recognized a crazy spike in one of my prospects ....

Is this sort of thing "normal" i.e. regularly possible (obviously not every player but more than 1 in 1000 ;) ) ?

As you see one was in May and the other in December of 2017.

Seriously, i´m shocked. Regarded him as a minor league player before. Only looked him up just now (in November) because i got a message about him winning Player of the Week in the OHL.

Never had that big of a spike. Have had some good ones before though going from somewhat okay when they are 18 to looking like 3rd liners by the time they are 20
