Minor bug: When managing in NHL and your AHL players get selected to AHL All-Stars the game doubles the amount of the players in the news. For example i had 3 players selected for it and the new said 6 players have been chosen

Absolutely fuming. Vezina winning goaltender, top of his game and best in the league retires at 35??? And only two days after I get the message that he'll be gone 'end of the season'? There should at least be a seasons notice suggesting they're thinking of retiring to plan for replacements and seriously, 35? No injury history, plenty of games and playing darn well - that's crazy!

That sux! IMO if players are retiring that early with no injury or poor performance issues than there should be news stories rumouring retirement a year or more in advance. Then at least one could try to play ahead a bit even if you couldn't trade or get much in a trade for the player. Almost no good players retire before they become old bad players. The money and the fun of playing is just too great!

Yeh, I can understand injuries, being dropped or not getting in the team, playing poorly for a long time - but the guy's in his prime! He was already under contract for another year and I was about to offer him a 2 year extension!

Dryden was 29 when he retired, Tretiak 32...it has happened before (quite awhile ago...but I remember! HaHa)

I'm not sure either of them were on a 4 million dollar a year contract though(In fact didn't Dryden retire to pursue a more lucrative law career?). I can't recall it happening much recently for high end players.

I'm just not sure the game is analysing things correctly. When some players are poor but hanging on to 42 I wouldn't expect the worlds best netminder to give up! I only see younger players retire when not picked, injured a lot, or when sat in the AHL on poor money (fair enough). I haven't seen many top players go early unless unemployed, and even then it's a bit weird. I'd say it just needs a little 'refinement'.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but when I sign a prospect from North America, it's a 1 year contract instead of the standard 3 year entry level contract.

So the owners bought the arena some way back and now as I try to ask for expansion they just say "Arena presently not close enough to capasity" my avg attendance last season was 17,453/17,562

Check the expansion limit of your arena with Pre-Game Editor. It could be that it cannot be expanded.

Is it possible to get a new Arena built? I'm pretty much on capacity for a while now and would like to expand but it's greyed out - not that it really matters in this game as profit/loss isn't an issue.

EDIT: Blasted through the next season, and it worked like it should.

When I load my game it says error could not load players year or something like that. Then, I enter the game, and I can't advance to the next day, it crashes. Anyone know how to fix this.

I finally decide to start play with my team (Medvescak in KHL) and I don't know if it is bug or not, but no team from KHL wants to play friendly game with me. And I am not talking about SKA or Kazan or CSKA. I challenged Dinamo Minsk, Dinamo Riga, Slovan and all of them refused (I checked they had free days in calendar). Not just that, same problem is when I "ask" other top european teams such as Frolunda, Mannheim, Karpat, heck...even Red Bull Salzburg from EBEL refused me. The strongest opponent I could arrange for pre-season game was Krefeld Penguine.

Is there a way to lower the ingame sound?.. tnx

Yes, I told this Riz a hundred times, even from EHM 07 days. Hopefully we'll get this sorted. Unfortunately it's a normal condition at least in the KHL.

There is an option to switch it off completely. In Preferences.

i don't know if this is a bug but anyone noticed that draftees sign 3-year Entry Level Contracts but the game counts the current season (2014-15) as one year of the contract? For example, McDavid signed a 3 year Entry Level Contract with Florida Panthers but he will be a restricted free agent in June 2017 instead of June 2018, same with Eichel, Strome, etc.

I have McDavid signed with entry level contract until 2018. You have to sign the player after the turn in the season (1 July I think?). If you sign them before that you are signing them for the current season still. In case the AI is signing them this way (before the turn of the season) I believe it is indeed a problem that should be fixed.

On the same subject, is it normal that I lose rights to players drafted in prior years in June? This means, just like in the above poster's example, that I'm effectively losing a year for that player that I'm paying in full :s is it intended?

The entry level contract will slide at the beginning of the next season, then it will actually be 3 years.

In QMJHL there is no standings by divisions/conference...only overall league standings...

NHL games continue before the 2022 Olympics are finished. Guess I have to field my AHL team.

RFA process is still broken, i know the AI doesnt know how to use it at all, but theres also a bug with handling my offers, i offered contracts to Saad and Fast to send Rangers and Hawks into cap and decision hell or get good players for a 2nd pick. The player accept the offers, but then i get a message the other team chancelled the transfer due to a pants offer or something...actually it says the board of the other team chancelled the transfer becuase the offer was unrealsitic, so the other Gm seems t have matched my offer , which is ok, but if the board chancels it the the player shouldnz keep FA but go to me for the compensation. ATM the ycna have both ways , not pay the player but not give him away.
