Thanks Taloncarde!
Eric, check out that info that Taloncarde pointed you to and please make sure to read the rules carefully. They can be a bit confusing, especially if you've never participated in one of our challenges before.

My other question is about the NTNB option of roster management. If I understand correctly there is to be no free agent agent what-so-ever.aside form your own roster of players? correct? Just want to be sure.

Right on. You can only re-sign your own UFA's and RFA's. No offers to players from outside your system.
This means you HAVE to draft well in order to do well long term in this playing style. Get some good scouts.

You can re-sign your own players whenever you like.

I'm considering joining the challenge and has a question that I couldn't find the answer to. When adding the GM, are we allowed to set past experience to whichever we want or should it be automatic?
Also, how do I make screenshots? First press Print Screen, then what? I read somewhere 'go to paint'. What does that mean?

There are no restriction for the past experience, as it has no impact, being fastly recalculated by the game according to your results.
Paint is a little graphic software installed on Windows... You should find it by clicking on "Start / All the programs / Accessories / Paint" (not 100% sure on the exact names for the path, as i translated it from French... might be called differently in English, let alone in Swedish).
But it doesn't matter if you use Paint or whatever else. Just use a graphical software.
- Print Screen button
- open a graphical software
- ctrl+V (to paste your print screen into the graphical software)
- save the file (i suggest you to create a "challenge screenshots" folder)
- upload it to some hosting site (like Photobucket, for example)
- when you report your challenge stats, put the link(s) to the images hosted (the hosting sites generally propose you some links to copy-paste especially made for forums)
Sounds complicated, but it's very simple once you're used to it

Boring, but simple.

Just testing. Is this the correct way to post screenshots?

Here is a suggestion for the next challenge. Because there are so many prospects with random potential in any given system, it can make a huge difference in long term success if you one team winds up getting close to the high end potential version of a prospect and another team winds up with a useless version of the same guy. This is especially true if you use NTNB. My suggestion would be that the person in charge of the challenge create a save game file with just the team selected and upload that and have everyone start off the same save game. That would make sure everyone has the same version of all of the random prospects and might make things a bit fairer.
On a side note, unfortunately I accidentally overwrote my challenge save game file, so I won't be able to post any new challenge recording stats.

My season is over and I want to post my leaders but a question has arised. Vrbata scored the most goals in a Coyote jersey but Shanahan scored more over the season since he had some with the Rangers. Which shall I post. ONly a two-goal difference but still.

Another question I couldn't find the answer to. Does core-roster group change for a player? Will a B-core become A-core if he plays a certain amount of games?

No. Core a players are always a. B are always b. C are always C..# of games required goes up for B and C in particular for each season.
**Homegrown--move to group C and progress along the C chart.

Thanks!
Do you have ananswer to my other question wether to post the stat from the highest scorer on the Coyotes or an traded-in player?

Go back and read the challenge rules. If you read the bit about stats posting, it tells you were to get the leaders info from. If you get it from the correct location, there won't be any confusion.

For challenge 11, two questions has arised.
First, shouldn't we be allowed to use the Canadian starting date(Aug.15)? The rules clearly says North American(Aug.30) but since we are playing juniors I think it should have been the Canadian one. Maybe too late to change now but for the future.
Second, Regarding trading of draft picks. For the Import draft, can't we trade picks? I believe the Import draft is only two rounds as we are only allowed two foreign players in junior hockey

To further enhance my first question. I just started up the game(NA date) and it starts right in camp. No time to evaluate if any prospects should be invited.
I'll put my game away until I have gotten answer to this.

Sorry, I should have clarified the rules with regards to a start date. You can indeed using the Canadian start date (Aug 15th). Thanks for pointing that out
With regards to the import draft, Batdad is the man to ask. I'll see if I can get an answer for you...
