Myers might not be "the man" yet but I sure wouldn't mind having him as a piece of the pie. He'd look great in Black and Gold.

Oh I know, just he is my latest version of Milan Lucic. The young gun superstar! I have liked Myers for 5 years, so well....

Buffalo also has another dman who is huge and young who is gonna be a super player. Brayden McNabb, now with the Kootenay ICE

I've heard of Brayden McNabb in EHM. I've drafted him several times. So he's good in real life?

Yep. I say he ends up as a 3-4 dman by the time he is 30. Not a superstar, just a good solid player. Moves the puck well, and is physical.

See this Ondrej Pavelec Maskless Save vs Senators 10/31/2009. He made this save almost exactly 50 years after the game where Jacques Plante wore his mask for the first time (11/1/1959).

Pavelec so far is on fire!!! He's my revelation of the year at this time. With Lethonen constantly injure Pavelec is currently stealing the #1 goalie spot. I prefer to see a hard working guy with less potential like Pavelec than a big potential but always injured like Lethonen in front of the net! Keep going Ondrej!

Surely the Thrashers will move 1 of them 2... When Lehtonen is back. Pavalec isn't gonna want to sit in the AHL again just waiting for Lehtonen to get injured. It makes sense to trade Lehtonen for me... Get a solid RW to play with Kovalchuk. Or make the Defense better... :dunno:

by philou21
Maybe both of them! :-D

I will prefer a RW for Kovalchuk. He already play more then well with what his got and with a more solid player with him, things gonna be really interesting. Maybe if they trade Lethonen they could get a young D-men with the RW. But you know when Waddell make's a trade, things could become really weird and completely stupid. :-D

I read an article (I think it was at The Hockey News but can't remember for sure) that had Lehtonen as one of the top 10 players that could really use a change of scenery. It's clearly looking like that is the case.

Atlanta almost trade Lethonen to the Flyers last season at the deadline. This was the most serious rumor i've heard. Every hockey station were talking about this but it's seem it didn't work. I don't know what team could be interested? Maybe L.A. , Detroit, Nashville.....:-k I don't see any team in the east in need of a goalie though.

What is Lehtonen's contract like?

3 Million till the end of this year. Then he's a RFA...

They'd be more likely to trade to the West anyways Philou. LA and Det could be good bets. Especially the Kings if they are still on course to make the playoffs later in the year. Even then... he's only young...

Frolov and a 1st for Lehtonen. :-p

Detroit need a goalie badly, so Lehtonen might be a good pick for them if they have the cap space

Detroit? Why would the Wings want more of what they already have...bad goalies?? Especially one making more $$ than they already have. If the Dead Things get a goalie from Atlanta I would highly doubt his name is Lehtonen.

I'm must disagree a little bit with you Batdad. Lethonen sucks because he is more than often injured, he is like DiPietro lol But if is injured are finally gone one day, he will be a great goalie. He already prove when he start at Atlanta that he's got the potential of a #1 but because of his injure he is never at 100%. He could be very usefull with the Wings when is back.

But when i think about it......i don't want the Wings begin to win again. :-D

Lehtonen is very good goalie, but he has been injuries lots last years. I hope that Atlanta trades him to Detroit, cause his much better than Oh-so-good and especially better than Howard (Howard is good goalie, but he needs more NHL-games and NHL-experience).

And Detroits roster is so good, that they can trade good draft picks.

Detroit doesn't need 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks... you know Zetterberg's, Datsyuk's, Franzen's, Ericsson's, Filppula's etc. draft rounds. :-D :-D :-D

Only 5.855 attendence in Phoenix during rival matchup against LA with leading point scorer Kopitar. :thdn:
Just for comparison: Philadelphia hosting Tampa was seen by 18.667 people...

Anderson, Ovechkin, Bryzgalov named NHL 'Three Stars' for October.

I'd like to remind here my post from July 1st.

Matt Pettinger (recently of Manitoba Moose) signs with the injury-troubled Canucks.

LOL :-D

I don't know where but i think i post something when i was saying that Anderson was one of the best signature of the summer because of his low salary and he makes great performances. When i was talking about this at my job some guys laugh about this. :-p

Who's laughing now my sweet fan of the Habs. ;-)

batdad, I am going to go ahead and disagree with you about the Red Wings having bad goalies.

"He has won three Stanley Cup championships in his career, all with the Red Wings, with two of them coming while he was starting goaltender."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Osgood

He has choked his chicken a little lately, but if two cups as starting goalie is "bad" then most goalies wished they sucked as much.

by philou21
Osgood was just good because of the team that was in front of him. The Wings are very good in defensive and their fowards are very good at it too. Don't let a lot of shots pass and make the game more easy for the goalie.

Great :-x Now every team in Northwestern division has superb goalie except Colorado. Luongo, Kiprusoff, Bäckström, now Khabibulin. And Anderson/Budaj/Rycroft will face them. Looks like new Avalanche management is a bit sleepy.

Yeah that sucks. Colorado can forget Gustavsson and then just hope that Anderson will do as good as he was doing with Florida. He can't goal 70 games a season but the 40-50 games he could goal are great performances tough.
So a sleppy management...? :-D
