The US did a lot better than I expected them to going into the Olympics. I've got to give them credit for doing as well as they did.

Lubomir Visnovsky get caught by doping at Olympics

. He was first athlete to get caught. He didn't get ban, only note and it willn't affect to Slovakia's 4th place.
Was it Turin or Salt Lake City, when Bryan Berard and Jose Theodore (or was it Jocelyn Thibault?) got caught by doping and they couldn't play in Olympics. But they didn't get NHL-ban.
What do you think: if skier uses doping and gets caught, he gets 2 year ban. If hockeyplayer uses doping and gets caught, he gets just note.
I think it's unfair.

Depends on what he got busted for Jyp. Probably nothing major.
Anyway....I have one thing to say: Yesterday was the MOST AWESOME TIME OF MY LIFE!! (The surprise was tickets to hockey house not the actual game, but the players were all there afterwards.) It was the most fun party I have ever been to.
Ryan Kesler is a god.

Wow, how cool! We mingled with the Marlies and Bulldogs in a freezing cold marquee after the AHL vs UK games but I don't think it was quite on the awesome scale as your experience!

Did you get autographs, photos, etc?
It was a fairly good game yesterday. It was great the US scored so late - it made things very interesting. Canada did well and deserved it I felt.
The BBC broadcast it on their HD channel which was great. It's the first time I've seen a televised game where you can see the puck almost as well as in real life. It seems like HD was made for hockey. It certainly beat watching a pixellated feed from ESPN360 online

Do you mean you met the whole team? Cool!

So you could say hello to Getzlaf face to face, not only on this forum

No autographs or anything. They were not out with the public a ton. Just came out briefly and then kind of partied on their own for a bit. At least the ones I saw. The place was completely packed. Plus I do not do the autograph thing. They are just normal guys to me.

It was a GREAT game yesterday (watched it this morning again on my PVR). Both teams gave everything they had, and the kitchen sink. HD and hockey are awesome together.

Honestly, once you've seen hockey in HD, it's hard to go back to seeing it on regular television.

Absolutely not, back in 2006 i was already showing my color for Sweden to win the gold and they just win it.

Kesler is a Yankee. And I suppose I should have said he played like a god. Sorry, I just do not worship the players. I will have a conversation with them, but that is it. No "OMG YOUR RYAN KESLER CAN I HAVE YER AUTOGRAPH?" from me...I am not that in awe of them.

I wouldn't act like this too, i think you look more like a crazy person.

I'm a shy person so I will be very impressed, but it doesn't show that much, I will ask nicely an autograph and if I'm not too stress out I will try to speak english a little with him.

If I met Forsberg though, I don't know how I will react.

Yes, I heard that on news. It wasn't Lubomir's fault.

US left Yandle, Erik and Jack Johnson, Ryan, Okposo and Bishop at home. How they pick Orpik and Martin over Yandle and one of the Johnsons when the olympics is on big ice is beyond me. Atleast one of Ryan and Okposo should be on the team over Brown also tbh. Guess i should send a thank you note to Bylsma and Shero for making it easier to beat the US

The US have alot of good goalies though but not giving a spot to Yandle is weird IMO.

The goalie-thing is the least weird one, having Martin and Orpik over Yandle and X.Johnson is weirder. And not having Ryan/Okposo over Brown.

Brown is a good two way foward. Ryan not. At some point the hockey team needs to be complete at every positions. That's my only guess why they would pick him over Ryan and Okposo even if they're better offensively than him.
