I managed to set a fairly unbeatable NHL record in the later stages of my Jets save:

I don't think I'll see another 148 game winning streak anytime soon.

And although this isn't our highest scoring game, I've never seen 4 hat-tricks in the same game before or after:


and since Riz didn't bother to actually line up the NHL Olympic break with the Olympics, this is what my lineup looked like for 2 games in our 100% win rate season:

If Sweden hadn't flopped out early I wouldn't have had Sandell or Elvenes either.

In other news, Boston are now claiming Boston's player off the waivers:


We also dethroned the 80s Oilers as the highest scoring NHL team in history with a 463 goal season in 36-37, this is what the leaderboards looked like:

and during that same season we had something ridiculous happen, Jaromír Reichel scored on all three of his first three shots for a hat-trick:


Several seasons earlier I saw the lowest rating for a game a player has ever had for me; Emmanuel Murphy put up a 2 Rating game in goal for the Blackhawks:

That really is impressively bad.

And here is a very nice representation of what happens when you hit 30 games with over 80% win rate, it's happened for over 20 seasons in a row by now; This just happens to be the time I bothered to screenshot it:

But hey it's only been happening for two decades in a row, just a freaky coincidence that my goalie forgets how to make saves at the exact same amount of wins every time. Thankfully it only persists for around 10 games every time, then it goes back to normal. Any goalie we face in those games also averages at least 5% above their normal SV%, but it generally only translates into ~0 to 2 losses per season.

There has been some other ridiculous nonsense happening too over the course of this save, but eventually I got quite jaded and stopped bothering to screenshot it. This last one was pretty hilarious though:

Note that the goalie swap bug (which has been in the game for almost a year now) was the only reason the game went into OT at all, since my backup came in for 2 minutes and let up 1 goal in 2 shots. The reason this game went so long was that their goalie in net was actually out injured when I set the shot targeting; In the load screen leading up to the game he got back to being day-to-day and was put in net, since he and their backup had opposite weaknesses we ended up targeting his strength until he finally let in a goal in OT after 126 SOG in the late 143rd minute.
Would be neat if that bug could ever be fixed, since it was implemented in the 1.2 patch last summer and has been reported over at SIgames.

You'd never guess whose jersey gets lifted to the roof of the american airlines center alongside these names:

in my canucks sim, it was decided that daniel's number would be retired but not henrik's, which would be amazingly funny if it happened irl.

Meanwhile a grand total of 0 of my players had their numbers retired in my Jets save, I had to eventually manually retire them in the editor. Carter Hart had 125 shutouts and 1063 wins for us, Timothy Liljegren had about 1200 points in 1500 games as a defenceman, Ehlers had 1500 points in 1200 games and Blake Wheeler also had over 1000 games and over 1000 points. It seems like whatever decides number retirement in EHM is about as functional as the rest of the game.

In other news EHM still can't do math:

Today, I learned that even in EHM that the Sabres can ruin their franchise.

Neither have I. Glad the game can still surprise us.

It usually comes when a veteran player signs an extension. I've seen it quite often.

All of the jersey retirements in my saves actually had logic behind it. All of them have had at least 1000 games played with the team, and have had over a point per game average in their career (excluding defencemen).

I dunno if I should've posted this here or in the problems thread but it sure makes me laugh. In my day my salary has gone from 54 millions to 112 millions! What the heck is that? It never happened to me before. I'm currently negociating a trade and still, my assistant GM is telling me we are under the cap floor and the opposite team is also at 140 millions! Such a thing never happened to me before.

Edit: While negociating the trade I noticed that even though my assistant GM is saying that we are under the slary floor he's also mentionning that he's worried about the financial effect of the trade.

Edit 2: Well I just passed the July 1st loading and everything went back to normal. I just noticed that some of my players that are not suppose to have a contract are still in my line-up and when I was in the profile of that player and clicked "contract" it made the game crash. I tried twice and it was the same. I could reload to an earlier save that is 3 weeks early (in-game not IRL) but I'll lose my draft though. I'll make the test to see if this happens again.

Edit 3: Even reloading an earlier save did not worked. Each time on June 30th my salary goes up to 112 millions and each time when I hit July 1st it's gone. Then again the same player that is supposed to go into my RFA is still there and when I check his contract the game crashes. When I sim to July 2nd he's finally gone in my rights though and I can check his contract without a problem. Seems like I'll try to avoid this player for a while.

Yeah I thought that too but I wanted to know if other people have experienced this before. When I first posted this it was funny until I realized 3 edits later it was that bad.
