Have you tried working this into a Vegas model? Like having Vegas not start playing games until 2017?

Wondering if anyone can help.
I've been messing around with the editor and have got to grips with most aspects, I've been able to activate an accurate MOL League and Alps League. However to make it completely accurate I still want the local championships to also take place, so the Romanian teams in the MOL league still compete in the Romanian Championship and the Italian teams in the Alps league still compete for the Serie A title. But I don't quite understand the team picking options and what needs to be selected so that teams compete in both competitions. I'm assuming it'd be a similar way to how the cup comps have been made for like Belarus? If someone could explain how.
Also for the Continental Cup is anyone aware of how teams are selected for the 2nd season onwards? for example a single Romanian team enters the cup every year, so from the 2nd season onwards how does the game decide which Romanian team to pick, is it the highest rep team from a league that is designated as Romanian? so if I am not able to activate Galati, Brasov etc to play in both leagues, would the game just pick a Romanian team that doesn't compete in the MOL since the game thinks is a Hungarian league but only in the local league so someone like Steaua?

Really sorry, just got into a bunch of different projects and just forgot. So far the team doesn't actually add in the next season. I changed the league structure for there to be a blank vegas team. I was able to sim through the season as vegas and they didn't play any games. However when I got to the 2017-2018 regular season the Western Conference wasn't available and the schedule didn't work, There is more info on the topic here:

I think the schedules are designed for use a single season. So using later year offsets is unlikely to work. Riz previously mentioned that the game doesn't yet support expansions and so I'm guessing you're unlikely to have much luck I'm afraid. Although it's always good to test the limitations of these things!

Are the future official TBL rosters going to add new playable leagues in, then? Is that what folks are working towards?

Yeah, I as I looked more into the schedule template I realized that you would need to do two different schedules and the editor doesn't support that. I have a problem regarding the NHL playoffs though. I edited the schedule and every team plays 82 games, I changed the All Star Game date to the 29th of Jan and the Trade deadline to the 1st of March, No crashes, however the players go off to play an international tournament instead of the playoffs. The game says the teams qualified for the playoffs but It doesn't start them. It doesn't even show up it the team's schedule. Is it something wrong with the schedule? Or is it me moving the dates of the trade deadline and all-star game?

So is it possible to make Finnish Liiga an open league, where last placed gets relegated and Finnish Mestis champion gets promoted? I'm not into relegation playout series, just that the last placed team gets relegated.
Also, what is the best way to make multiple new players, just adding them with pre-game editor or is there good way to do it? I'm trying to create Finnish A-Junior SM-Liiga to my db and while it seems to be working ok so far, I'm going to need to create around 450 new players to make teams playable and more realistic.
Also I'm having problem with match dates, I am having multiple games in same day, so does anyone know how to fix this problem?

You can get those two leagues working together, it's pretty simple. Explore options in the editor, you'll find in the stages tab some options for promotion and relegation, I'm not going to tell you the exact stuff as I think it's better to learn to fish than giving a fish if you understand what I mean. We can work together for the Finnish A-Jrs league. Can we write each other on Skype for a faster communication?

Is it possible to make the NHL all star game how it is irl? How the Divisions play each other in a semi then the two winners go to the final? Just Wondering because I would like to make my game as realistic as possible

Yes, you can also have domestic nation vs world. Just check the options.

I'm guessing there is seen as the NCAA model. I've looked at the editor but I really have no clue whats going on. Maybe somebody already has made it?

I've been tinkering with the ECHL to update it for the upcoming 2017-18 season; there have been several changes. The league structure as of even the 2016-17 season was 2 conferences, 4 divisions with 27 teams - not the 2 conferences, 6 division format with 28 teams in the default EHM database. Evansville had stopped operating for 16/17. 2017-18 looks like it will continue to be a 27 team, 2 conference, 4 division format:
- Alaska Aces and Elmira Jackals have folded.
- Evansville moved to Jacksonville and is back for 17-18 season as the Jacksonville Icemen.
- Worcester Railers are a new expansion team for 17-18.
- Missouri Mavericks have re-branded as the Kansas City Mavericks for 17-18.
- Official divisional alignment has not been announced - I took a realistic stab based on geography and will update at the appropriate time.
- New 72-game real schedule template has been added based on the 4 division alignment.
I have updated all that. What I have yet to update is how the playoffs work. Which is a little bit different...the top 4 teams in each division play each other (1 vs 4, 2 vs 3) in round 1. In round 2, the two winners of each round 1 game meet to determine the division winner. In round 3, those 4 division winners play the conference semi-finals. And the winners face off in the Kelly Cup Finals. Right now I simply have the top 8 in each conference going to the playoffs, regardless of division. It's the right number of teams in the playoffs but I'm unsure how to tackle the real, divisional aspect. But it is good enough for me, for now...if anybody wants to try and improve it, link is below.
Note: I was tinkering with other stuff and you shouldn't use the DB linked below for anything more than study and taking parts to improve. Example, EBEL, KHL, other leagues not working because I was moving clubs around.

Also - probably too late for the next TBL rosters but I have the NAHL up and going as well. Everything looks good save for the same issue with divisional games initially in the playoffs. I do however have the playoff format correct which is 16 teams and rounds of series-length 5, 5, 3 and finally a one-game final for the Robertson Cup.
I'm hoping adding and beefing up the NAHL as a playable league will add some more depth the the NCAA prospect pool but I have not tested it out to see if that is the case. I will probably do the BCHL next.

Having played more in NCAA now... the BCHL, AJHL, SJHL, OJHL, MJHL, whatever the 2nd tier Quebec one is named (I forget) and maaaaaaybe the Maritimes JHL would all be nice to make playable if it means it can flesh out their rosters a bit more. The BCHL, OJHL, and maybe the AJHL in particular, since those are the population centers with better odds of generating good players anyways.

The BCHL, AJHL, SJHL, MJHL, SIJHL, NOJHL, OJHL, CCHL, QJHL, and MHL all operate under the umbrella of the CJHL similar to how the WHL, QMJHL, and OHL operate under the CHL.
The problem with making any of these leagues playable is the complex roster rules (card based transfer system, affiliate system, etc.). I believe JeffR did have the BCHL, AJHL, SJHL and MJHL coded and pretty much ready for playable release in EHM 2007 so maybe they are closer to realistic than I believe. But the point I think is that all leagues should be made playable for realism. Trading is also complex as for example teams are allowed to trade between leagues and scouting of these players is generally very poor with most players being traded for cash or flat out released.
