Franzen signed to a 11-year extension.

I guess Hossa will move in the summer, but what could be a possible destination? Maple Leafs? I'll be honest, I would love Gaborik and Hossa in the same team, and Toronto seems like a possibility.

Anyone?

Any details on the Franzén signing?

Gaborik and Hossa on the same team..i dont' think so. Everyone would expect them to do miracles on the ice. To much pressure. One of them will end up in New York. The other in Pittsburgh. :-D

I'm so widdled right now! The Coyotes and the LA kings both won their games, so all Toronto had to do was lose to Ottawa and they'd have a lottery pick....but nooooo!... they had to beat ottawa. darn you, Boyd Deveraux for getting a hat trick!!! But seriously, the Leafs can't win when they are suppose to win, they can't lose when they are suppose to lose....I wish i wasn't a leaf fan :(

Colorado Avalanche GM was fired: http://avalanche.nhl.com/team/app/?serv ... eid=418070
I think they should start changes from their coaching staff :brix: But current season was hard for Avalanche, since their two top centers (Sakic+Stastny) were out most of this season. It's hard to coach an NHL team in such conditions.

Wow the Flyers in the final?
i'm a flyers fan.. but i don't think they will win the first series.. 4-1 to Pittsburgh.

Flyers are playing very bad the games.. Biron and Coburn are very very very weak last games.
Hartnell? i don't know he looks strong but i don't believe in him.

I think we needs some good trades this summer..
Biron out. and Emery back in the NHL Flyers need a fighting goalie like Hextall.
Trade Hartnell for Avery but the Rangers will not do that. they have good records with Avery.
Then we needs some good defence back so trade Coburn back to Atlanta for that new defence Bosyan? or whats his name?

I hope thay will play good but i don't think they will from Pittsburgh.

Scott Hartnell just have is best season in the NHL and is young. Flyers shouls keep him in the club, plus, Avery is a garbage bag. Don't want him to scrap all the team like he was doing in Dallas. I really love the core in Philadelphia and they should keep him intact ( a goalie will be welcome for sure ). And the Thrashers trade Bogosian? Don't dream, Waddel is the worst GM of the NHL but i don't think he would bring back somebody he trade last year and get rid of a future star defenceman.

Blackhawks Playoffs

Just found out I'll be attending Games 1 and 2 of the Blackhawks first round series against Calgary. First time we've had playoff hockey here in Chicago since 2002!

I think Philadelphia is capable of an "upset" against Pittsburgh. Philli has a great group of players, they only question mark is goaltending, but with Birons outstanding performance last year...and nittimakis outstanding play in goal in the 2006 olympics you wouldn't think that would be a problem with this team . The life of a goalie...

Hey leaf fans, who thinks Burke will draft Jordan Schroeder for their first overall pick? They're both from minni, i think it's a big possibility if the leafs end up not tradeing up, of course. I hope that Burke drafts a Canadian kid. Nothing against American hockey players but it's about time we get some canadian players who might want to take a hometown discount to play for the leafs. (soundin' a bit like don cherry, aren't I? :))

:@ I'm very very jelous! Last time i was at a playoff game, it was game 5 of the Toronto vs Buffalo Eastern Conference Finals in 1998-99 season...(where buffalo went on to lose to dallas in OT with hulls infamous goal)

What an atmosphere that was though! I'm sure Chicago's atmosphere will be just as good.

Philli can win, but they'll have to tigh there tactics, can't play so ''romantic'' as they did in the regular season....

It's official.

Unless they go completely off the board, it looks like John Tavares is heading to the Isle in June.

That's a shame. He'll never win anything there :thdn:

I've heard a rumour that Hedman might be heading to Lightning.

They already did the lottery?

Yap...

U can call me a believer, but i do believe in a big transformation in Long Island with Tavares coming....
This is not a similar situation, but look what crosby did to the slumping Pens, and when i say this, i mean, not only games results, but commercial too....

They have B72. :-D Last night.
I've heard a rumour that Hedman might be heading to Lightning.
Yeah Joe, i can't see anybody overlooking a stud Forward and a stud defenseman, that's unlikely they won't be 1-2, just to decide which is 1st.

Sonny, the Pens had been planning long before and loading up with either the 1st or 1nd draft picks in many years beforehand. Seems a tad unfair to me. And the New York teams have never done well with drafting. Look at the Isle's draft picks previously, only DiPi seems to be anygood, and he's normally injured.

Whitney 5th overall in '02
Fleury 1st overall in '03
Malkin 2nd overall in '04
Crosby 1st overall in '05
Staal 2nd overall in '06

There should be a limit as to how many top 5 picks a team can have in 5 years.

Well with Mike Milbury not running the Islanders any more, I'm hoping they'll do the right thing at the draft.

I remember being quite upset when the Pens won the post-lockout lottery. After a year off, everyone should've had the same chance. Instead they reward teams for being consistent poor performers over the previous 4 or 5 years (I forget which it was).

Yeah, they didn't deserve to the Crosby Sweepstakes. Even more annoyed that the Ducks didn't have 1 pick higher, therefore Crosby.

That's not true. The islanders drafted very well and made great picks...Milbury just traded them all away for nothing good in return.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Bettman rigging the lottery to make the islanders win. lol. I'm glad the isles are getting Tavares, at least over the Avs. If he played for the Avs i'd never get to watch him.

Voila! The MTL Canadian are officialy eliminated. That goddamn season is finally over! I'm was so tired to see that bunch of loser playing with non-chalant. Time to do some big clean up in the team and on the second floor, maybe even on the 3 and 4 floor. Now at RDS we will see better hockey.

Hope the Habs will come back transform from this summer. Don't want to watch another non-sense season. Or i will buy for me a TV special channel to see other teams playing :-D

Get out the brooms! That was some sweep!

I think Komisarek looked like a real punk by getting himself tossed so he didn't have to stay on the ice for the rest of the game. That loser gave up and just wanted to go home early.

Komisarek look completly stupid. This ''fight'' was useless. I think he doesn't love the red of is shirt :-p He should go make a cure like Avery for some agressiveness problem....lol

I don't think Komisarek is going to be playing for Montreal next year.
