I get a crash on July 14, 2019 and can't get past it even when using vacation mode.

Hi, same problem here, I tried vacation, retiring and nothing helps. I am playing NHL for LA Kings. Would be grateful for any help. Thanks guys.

Can someone confirm that the 11.2 version of TBL rosters is not crashing? Or if there are crashes, is there a workaround? Would be fun to try the new rosters. Oh, and thanks to everyone involved for the continued work on the project; without it there would be way less incentive for playing the game at this point in time.

Some guys seem to get crashes. Most of us do not

Copying the rosters from the Steam workshop folder to your EHM/data/database/ folder appears to reduce game start up crashes.

There seems to be problem with Olympic Games in the newest update. It shows no schedule at all albeit 2022 OG was played as it should, but 2026 Games doesn't happen at all. Also World Cup is out of order (in my save, after 2016 it's been played in 2019 and 2023 with next draw happening 2030).

Hey, so i'm trying to get the new Rosters working and they keep crashing after creating shortlists. I have tried moving the rosters to my Main Database folder and still the same issue. Any help would be great.

Hi guys, don't know if it's been reported but the game crashes when I click on the Canadian High School Hockey (whether it's team info panel, other teams list or search view...)

PS Diabolos de l'Ecole secondaire Lucille-Teasdale and Sphinx de l'Ecole Secondaire de Riviere-du-Loup are listed three times with exactly the same name in above mentioned league

I've been doing some testing recently, and using 11.2 I've currently gone 27 seasons and I've not had a crash but I have had two summers of error messages occurring (in 2036 and 2039) - clicking the OK each time they came up allowed me to continue; I'm guessing it stopped because the staff in question signed new contracts. The error message was the same each time, and said...

TRANSFER_MANAGER::setup_free_transfer() : staff has trial contract

I was using a Full database. For leagues selected I had the NHL & AHL + Major Junior, the USHL & the NCAA + the Elite Leagues for the Czech Republic, Russia, Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, Switzerland and Germany


EDIT - occurring again in the summer of 2047

Started a new game and after season 1 the game crashes on the June 30th update. Gets half through the loading screen and gets stuck. Had this before and managed to fix but cant remember this time. Any ideas?

Just to let you roster guys know, for me the game crashes upon initializing shortlists if I have the Belarus Cup selected. I can start a game with everything else selected, but not that one. Not a big deal for me, just noticed this as I'm starting a game with all leagues selected for my next EHM story. It's the latest TBL Rosters with my own three players, main characters, added.

For the last few roster updates, when trying to start up a league with the fantasy draft, it crashes upon 'creating shortlists'. I've uninstalled fresh in the past and started from there, now this time I've moved the database from the workshop to the main folder as well.

Try removing the extra_config file.

Hi, I recently started playing again and my game keeps crashing on July 15th 2019.
So I had an amazing first season and would love to play further but I cant. Can someone please help?

Things I've tried:

- Played on all resolutions (preferred windowed)
- There is no temporary folder (for the files to delete)
- Reinstalled steam + EHM
- Sound is never active on my settings so that's ticked off

Not sure if this was directed at me and my issue, but I did try this just in case, no avail. Outside of the fantasy draft, I've not had any recurring crashes with the last several rosers. I do forget when this started, but the last save I have I think was 10.x and I was into season 2024.

if I look around I have seen a lot of people having this problem but no real fix. Someone of the DB-makers can look into this?
I know there's a lot of work in the DB but it would be nice to play without worrying if the game will crash.
Right now, I really want to continue playing my game but whatever I do it just closes.

Are you running a fantasy draft to start? I think Archi was responding to a poster who was running a fantasy draft and having a crash at startup

When you say you have seen "a lot of people having this problem" do you mean a crash with TBL 11.2 on July 15th 2019?

Some questions that might help determine the issue...what leagues do you have selected? Have you made any edits to the database? Have you made any edits to the saved game? With crash reports what database/leagues running/any edits/crash date are good starting points for troubleshooting

Yes with the 11.2 update there seem to be problems with that specific date. I found people on steam/SIgames forum and over here as well.

I have selected NHL, ECHL, AHL, QMJHL, OHL, WHL and KHL. I haven't made any changes to the database or edits. Just the 11.2 TBL roster update and no changes.
I don't receive any crash reports, the game just closes on July 15th (Morning). I have tried going on vacation but it keeps crashing on that specific date.

Unfortunately it doesn't look like there's currently a known solution (and it would be hard for volunteers to find a solution if they're not actually encountering the crash). Alas it seems as Manimal said above - "Some guys seem to get crashes. Most of us do not"


P.S. Uploading your saved game at SI (and noting in your thread there that you did so) might lead to a fix eventually

This is really the best course of action now. I suspect things will be different for v12.0 TBL Rosters. The only solution would be to create new saved game with minimal leagues and simming to that date. If that works, add another league and try simming again. If koekefix has the time to do this and report back then that's great and will help us narrow down the issue - but like I say, I suspect things could be different for v12 next season.

Uploading saved games to SI is really important as it allows Riz to identify any issues with the game which needs patching. Unfortunately a lot of issues are reported here but never on the SI Bugs Forum.

It might be worth reporting this over on the SI Bug Forums as a lot of people have reported issues with using fantasy draft: https://community.sigames.com/topic/345 ... uidelines/

A crash at the "Creating Shortlists" section is often caused by an issue with either extra_config.cfg or the records_config.cfg files (normally due to a name not matching what is in the database). I suggest deleting both of these files to see if this fixes things.

Another thing to try is to run the database file from you EHM installation folder rather than the Steam Worskshop folder. For some weird reason, the "Creating Shortlists" part can be less stable when running a database from your Steam Workshop folder. You will need to create a new sub-folder in your C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Eastside Hockey Manager\data\database folder and then copy the relevant database.db and .cfg files from the relevant Steam Workshop folder. You can locate your Workshop folder as follows:

While I had transferred the database on my previous attempt (failed to mention that in my post), I did not transfer the extra_config. I tried that first, still crash (I am using default (2018) roster instead of the subscribed roster). Then I deleted both the extra and the records configs, again crash. I'll restart my computer with these changes in the off chance that needs to be done? If that does it I'll edit/update you guys, but I do have my doubts. But I really do appreciate the effort that still goes into working with me and the community, it gives me reason to always check back in once in a while just to see what's new with the rosters and if there are any fixes cause I could easily put another 2K hours in this game just from fresh fantasy draft.

So I found my fix! It's going to sound stupid, but out of habit I always selected all leagues on start up as 'enhanced' instead of view only (even though I only ever intended on playing in the NHL). It's something I've done since I got the game in 2015 cause I thought it meant what leagues would be included instead of which ones I would be playing in. I looked it up in the tips to try to understand it more, but by only having the NHL, am I receiving less 'detail' from the other leagues, and how will this effect my new found save?

And just for more info, I tried first after restarting my computer with the two mentioned config files deleted, nothing. Then I tried with only the NHL in 'enhanced' and it worked, so I tried again with both the config files restored, crash, so I deleted the extra config, and it works.
