I've got my Panthers to 3rd in the EIHL at halfway through the 1st season.. Shame for me that Werner blew his knee out in the first week..

Season 8 back to the bottom again beginning of season 9 and I have signed a lot of very good regens (are they called that seeing as this is not an SI game) lots of good stats for players that are between 16-19 years old and are not asking for very high wages.

They're called "newgens" in FHM. They're different to, and better than (IMHO - once it is working correctly), EHM's regens. Rather than recycling old players' CAs and certain attributes, FHM creates entirely new players from scratch.

Yeah, I've been finding a similar thing with the newgens created at start up. Manchester start with a couple of newgens in game because they have a small roster. Those newgens tend to be very strong too - in fact I've seen them lead the league in scoring a couple of times.

Surprise surprise now that i'am top of the EIHL finally......the game crashes so started again with the Pens.

Playing as the Leafs, I've been forced to make some trades to keep icing a proper lineup:

D. Phaneuf - out 4 weeks, high ankle sprain
JM Liles - out 4 weeks, high ankle sprain
C. Franson - out 4 weeks, high ankle sprain
J. Schultz (trade from EDM) - out 4 weeks, high ankle sprain

I'm not sure whether I should fire my trainer or my assistant coach who keeps hurting them in practice!

And yes, all those injuries happened at the same time. My defence was shattered (as were their ankles...)

That almost look like a bug that the four of them got the same injury for 4 weeks.

I wasn't sure if it was a bug or just a coach running a terrible drill!

Each injury happened in a separate game/practice, but all more or less consecutive days in mid-Oct. Assuming that each player has a chance of getting injured, and that injury is randomly determined within certain boundaries (i.e. not missing 11 months with a bruised ego, Tim Thomas)it's possible that it's just bad luck.

Regardless, my Leafs soldier on. My defence is now anchored by Jake Gardiner and Carl Gunnarsson. Hope is a course of action.

Almost positive that it is a bug, or a misjudgment in the programming. I didn't encounter something that specific, instead, about half of my roster was decimated.

For every player that recovered, another when into the IR's. It got so frustrated, that I stopped playing for a while lol. I made my complaints known on the main forums in hopes that they tweak injuries. They happen far too often in this game.

Finnished my first season as the Penguins

Game keeps crashing again so will have to have another go with someone else I think or I may just leave it to the next build.

Weird how the teams play different amount of games in the standings.
Should be ten games each

I downloaded this last night and I'm really impressed I don't think it's as good as EHM but there's definite potential.

I was tempted to start with the Steelers (naturally) but I went for my NHL team instead... the Flyers. I immediately traded for a goaltender, sending Brian Boucher and a 2014 3rd round pick for Brian Elliot at St Louis.

I was weak in defense so I also traded Danny Briere and his $7m salary for Jonny Oduya at Chicago and a 2014 1st round pick, but as I was still getting used to the game I clicked a button in the bottom right corner of the 'Roster Overview' screen, which somehow sent Oduya to the minors and he was claimed by Carolina

I started brightly though, flying to a 5-1-0 start but Pronger and Timonen were both injured in the same game and my form suffered as a result. I was 8-6-0 when I turned it off last night with the two injured players set to return.
