I can confirm that the draft lottery bug is solved. Although, despite trying about 10 times I couldn't get the number 1 pick for Seattle, but they were always top five and it is a lottery after all.

One thing that is missing is career statistics. Maybe you could add "xECK29x"'s stats or something?

Otherwise, fantastic job and I'm really looking forward to playing this one.

Yeah, other than NHL histories I haven't been keeping up that much. I'll ask xECK if I can add some of his histories but it's not super-high on my list right now. As long as NHL histories and rookie-categorizations are working correctly, that's what I'm most concerned about.

No Dahlin for you! [-X :-D

Okay. I think it looks a bit weird when you look at a player and he is missing a few seasons of stats between seasons.

Btw, Svechnikov went first, haha. But I had 3rd anyways.

Nice work man! :notworthy:

How did You run Expansion picks for Seattle? They are Your own choices?

Yup but with the spreadsheet draft kit and instructions my hope is to let people fairly easily run their own draft and add it in lieu of my default choices, if the desire.

:help: :help: :help:

Can somebody please give me a hand? I am super intrigued by the NHL 32 and have the database downloaded. The issue I have is when it comes to downloading the logo. Unlike the screenshots provided in this post, mine shows just "clubs" instead of "clubs" & "comps". I feel like this is someway throwing something off because even when I unzip in the location, nothing happens. I also don't have a "backgrounds" file for backgrounds but I'm more concerned with the logo. Any help is appreciated I have been trying to figure this out for quite some time now...

There is a step by step guide here: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=18863#p233354

The zip file will create the necessary folders if they are missing provided you extract the zip file to the correct place (i.e. by precisely following the above instructions).

NHL32 version 4.0 Update - ***END OF REGULAR SEASON 2017-18 UPDATE*** April 8, 2018

- Same update I posted for NHL36, all the same tweaks, modifications and upgrades. Read here:
viewtopic.php?f=13&t=18491&p=235393#p235393

Here are the latest v4.0 database (also updated on the first post in TBL NHL32 thread):
Version 4.0 - NHL32 Expansion - Seattle (April 12, 2018)

As usual, I have a link to the Expansion Draft toolkit if you want to create your own expansion draft roster for Seattle. Based on the 3.0 version not 4.0 but should not really affect the outcome or major decisions to make in the expansion draft.

Here is the latest v3.0 Expansion Draft Tookit for NHL32:

Bump...same "flash" update to the NHL32 database that I just did for NHL36 - refer to the NHL36 thread for update details and for a future post on top wonderkids to put on your shortlist, especially if you are collecting high draft picks for Seattle! :-D

Also, see NHL36 thread for a nice list of future prospect "wonderkids" to get you started on some names to scout!

Hello!

First, thanks for all the time you have put in, in this project. Great work!

Have done all parts of the installation (DB, expansion and graphics). First the setup crashed (when creating the save) - got around that when not selecting Great Britain when selecting leagues but all other leagues selected. When i thought everything worked fine and my new save was created it crashed again when saving.

No error message, direct crash to desktop.

If it helps, my pre-game setup: Full DB, add staff, retain all teams.

Maybe it don't matter but didn't do my own expansion draft, used yours.

Your 4.0 version was used.

In the back of my mind i think I've seen some issues with "Finnish Suomi-sarja" - removed that from selected leagues including all Great Britain leagues. Everything works fine! Maybe this is known and information is available - if so sorry.

I may have missed something, but how do I import the Seattle expansion team to my Saved Game DB.

You can’t add Seattle to a saved game. Have to start a new one.

Previous comment - yup some of the lower tier Euro leagues and Britain cause issues, you figured it out

Thanks.

So add it to the DB - then start the game. I assume through the editor. Is there instructions on how to do this.

I have tried the editor before I posted. I am good (and it was quite easy). Thanks for the help and the creation of these DB.

One question regarding the database: Why isn't favorite clubs and people viewable in game? Thinking of players relationship to clubs and people.

To be honest, I'm not totally sure. That's on the "bugs list" along with the NHL All-Star game not showing up. I'd like to get that stuff cleaned up but for now, it's fairly minor on the list in terms of actual play-ability of the database.

 Maybe a weird followup question on that - what does it do? Does in mean you as the player of the game can't see that information but 'under the hood' there is information, just not viewable or is that part of the game gone? I'm very far away from any knowledge to answer my own question, therefore you get the chance to do so haha :)

There is the kind of info in the database, for some reason on the player info screen it just isn't appearing as a line in-game. Fairly certain it is still there you just don't see it.

Yeah I suppose so to - have played with a specific team before and know certain information some players have at the start of a save and a player playing with a favorite team now have "Proud to be at".

If I know myself this wasn't my last question but for this version of the game I have no further questions hehe. Now I known this is 'under review'.

Really like your DB, its class. Have tested some other alternatives - your evaluation of players is good. Looking forward to future versions and the current 4.0 version.

Thanks!

Couple of questions on the DB/Import. When I did this through the editor, it changed Jake Allen to a D-man and Mark Pysyk to a goaltender (I am not sure if it did this with others). Is this a normal happening.

Also, is there a way to clear all the history in the DB (ie to start a career with a clean slate and build a new history going forward).

Not normal. Make sure the info you are importing does not include any changes to player position. Did you edit anything on the expansion draft import file?

In terms of clearing all history - that would be more of an archi question. I'm not sure it is possible.

Probably with the next version of the Editor. I have been adding mass editing/deletion tools recently and I should have at least some history mass deletion functions added. No ETA at present. I'm flat out on another project.

Just a quick note to @ BKarchitect

And its very possible you know and that it's not 'important' at all - but favorite teams is in the game - looking at player bio the information is there.

Have found a major contract issue.

* Austin Matthews salary 8.14 m dollar.

Is it possible to edit this in a save?
