3 losses and 2 OT losses. After getting so many wins in the first set of 20 games, I've been on a steady decline. I'm just hoping the boys pull it together for the final stretch.

Yeah, I have to say - I was surprised at how well Manchester held up against my NHL squad. It was 1-1 after the first and I thought I had made a bad call on booking this 'morale booster'. I managed to get 5 more over the next two, but still, not a great effort from the Leafs.

The Phoenix goalie played really well, the captain scored their goal and they only had one injury. Poor J.Henry - I broke his leg! 8-)

Shite! Just got my Sundin injury--10 days...oh well.

I have three guys tied with 41 goals. Sundin, Cheechoo, and Wolski. Huselius in spite of 2 injuries has 36....close goal race for me. I am either 69 or 70 games in now. I have a couple of OT losses in my last 10, not playing nearly as well...but I have only 1 regulation loss in my last 30-40 games. Lost to Philly 6-4, cause I dressed the wrong goalie I guess.

I just got my first set of 20 up for season two. I'm pretty satisfied - almost scored 100 goals and didn't allow 50. I've got 4 players with 12+ goals and nobody with a minus rating! That's what I'm talking about.

So...I just learned something new. Sundin had that injury. When he came back I forgot to give him his "C" back. So Kaberle was set as captain. This was not good. My team, although still winning was struggling a bit. I could not figure out why. Now I have noticed noone in info has "So and so is an inspired leader" comment. Which was there for virtually the entire team when Mats was healthy.

Me thinks this is the reason I have not been scoring as much. However, the team is still winning like mad. (13-1-3 in the 17 games I have played). But scoring has been way down since just before Mats inj from 5 per game to 2 or 3 per game. Goals against still pretty good. Curious to see what happens in the last 5, now that Mats has his "C" back.

Season 2 Reg Season complete. 18-1-3 om the last 20. Won out the last 5...but until the last 2 the team was not playing well. Sundin/Huselius/Cheechoo came back to life in the last 2...Hopefully ready for playoffs. They had 18 pts between the three of em in the last 2 games.

All done. Lost 4 playoff games, almost as many as reg season. In round 1, I won 4 OT games against Washington, and the loss was the only game of the series in regulation time,.

The final went 7 games...because inexplicably Antero Nittymaki decided to ditch practice, and his condition dropped from 100% down to ..... 64%. Not exactly game shape. So I had to use Auld for 2 games. He won the first one, but was horrid in game 6. Thankfully, Mr. Nitty was able to play game 7 and I made Calgary die. I hurt Kipper in the first on my third goal, and then Phaneuf got gooned (oops) by Boogie...and Boogie did not get caught...in the 2nd.

Ok..I won the cup again....and for the 2nd year in a row...a member of the other team won the Conn Smythe...Kiprusoff. Christ. At least this time my guys (Sundin and Nitty) were second and third.

Well, I'm finally in the playoffs. I'm facing Carolina in the first round. As luck would have it, I lose both Sutherby and Vaananen right before the start of the series. I've won the first three games without them but I just lost Niitty for 10 days in the 3rd period of that third game. So now heading into the 4th game of the series, I got Vaananen back in the lineup (Maksin Semenov was taking his place) and had to call up David Shantz to backup Boucher. This is scary! The lines had to be juggled to cover for the missing Sutherby. Brule moved into 4th line center and Kukumberg was brought into the lineup to fill the 3rd line RW spot. Let's see if I can finish this round off quickly and maybe get Niitty back before the start of the next round!

Hee. Judging from his latest stats CatchUp is using the Toronto Maple Sharks. Marleau/Michalek/McLaren.

I finished my second season yesterday and won The Cup again. Hmmm... I guess you could call my team the Toronto BlackSabres? I've got a few Blackhawks, a few Sabres, and a couple Washington Capitols too. I didn't run it far enough to see the awards or draft yet though.

It's either I love a good Shark or they always seem to be the ones who come calling when I dangle my junk players. :-D

I had Hannan too. He's one of my favorite defensemen in the game. I like to have him as my big, defensive defenseman.

Just so you all know I haven't been able to trade my current first line center (a former Shark, who will remain nameless). I've offered him up but it's only mid January and teams are not really willing to budge on their top line players until closer to the trade dealine (February 23rd). Unfortuntely, I play my 60th game on February 20th - and seeing as the nameless center is leading the league in goals, assists and points - I will most likely be saying his name in stats reporting for Challenge 8.2

Just a heads up - mostly to batdad.
