Sutter ruined the team already. I don't know if people in Calgary realize what. Reading the Flames board, most people seem to think a first line center is all they need to be a cup contender. But this team has no future at all. It's the other Alberta team that can look forward to the next seasons with Hall, Gagner, Brule, Hemsly, Cogliano. Edmonton got some offensive potential for sure. Hall/Gagner is the Oiler's Kane/Toews combo.
Half of the Flames are some Ex- Leafs, just a bunch of AHL'ers. Overrated in Toronto, now overpaid in Calgary. They have no high picks and they have a good history of drafting bums in every round. No cap room and no talent to make significant moves. And still their fans laugh about Edmonton and their bad management in every second post.

Eh saying that Hall/Gagner is going to be Kane/Toews calibre is a little over the top, but I see your point, and I happen to agree with you.

Gagner is not as good as I would've thought when he was draft.....maybe he just looking in the OHL because he got a great team....same with Sergei K. at MTL.

I'm surprise the Isles didn't draft a defencemen, they really need one IMO.

Yes they do but it is better to draft the BPA(best player available)

I think Fowler would have been the best choice for them.

Wow, I am surprised with the Rangers' pick!

Wow he's been pick him earlier than I thought.
First goalie has been pick! I'm surprise to see Dallas pick a goalie but with Lethonen in the goal they don't got a "safe" goalie.

Wow... McIlrath to the Rags makes me laugh my *** off. Why not take Fowler or Gormley??

The Rags are the Rags.

Sickening. Worst pick besides the IceDogs goalie. THAT was bad. I don't like the way he plays and I think Pickard has more skill and higher upside.

The 27th pick? Don't know him at all so I've got nothing to say about that.
As I expected Kabanov as not been pick in the first round and I'm happy about that. I hope he would slide to the 3rd round but I think I'm asking too much.

How bout Maksim Kitsyn?

I think he's rank for the second or third round.
The first round yesterday was boring, I preferred last year. No really exciting trade too.

That Vancouver trade was pretty good for both teams. Florida had 3 1st rounders plus Grabner... pretty solid pickup.

Same goes for Kitsyn I believe, and he was ranked sixth? Like what the hell!
Also, Joonas Donskoi just got drafted by Panthers on the 4th sound. Not sure if he'll be able to become a NHL player but it's another Finnish player in the system!

Detroit pick Pulkkinen.
Kitsyn wasn't rank in the first round. In the european skaters he was ranked 3rd. But for the hole world ranking I think he was set for the 3rd or 4th round.

22 QMJHL players were draft. Only 10 "true" Québecois, it's getting worst years after years. Hockey is sick in Québec, somebody need to do something.

Kitsyn was ranked 6th by CSS for Euro's, he now was rated to go anywhere from the 2nd to the 4th round, but awhile ago he was being talked about as one of the very top picks.
