Edler has been hideous. He should be a healthy scratch right now. Andrew Alberts would be better.

So the Panthers won......so far my prediction goes really bad for this series and PIT/PHI and VCR/LA. Not as good as last year. :-D

Oh boy, that hit on Hossa was ugly. It doesn't look good for him, but I wish him well and a speedy recovery. That would be a huge loss to the Hawks going forward.

Yeah that hit was brutal. I saw this morning they even needed a stretcher, doesn't look good. So far the playoffs are disgusting compare to passed years. This is just suspensions after suspensions, what the heck?

Flyers and Kings take compulsory Bettman night off. No sweeps allowed.

Don't you think one of those series goes all the way to 7 ?
I do.

Did they set anything on fire? Or will that be when they win game 5 in Vancouver? 8-)

Nah, just big facebook rallies so far. It would take a game 5 loss to set the city on fire.

I saw that a friend to my mother, the friend lives in Vancouver, posted a picture/meme of Daniel Sedin that said "Everybody relax, I got this!" before the match. :-p

It was this one:

I hope that Ottawa gets eliminated, would be good for Sweden in the World Championships.
First and foremost if Jakob Silfverberg, MVP in the Swedish playoffs, can play. He will probably fly over to play with Ottawa if they proceed.
And I would love to see Erik Karlsson in the Swedish team, and maybe also Alfie if he isn't injured.

Perhaps Ottawa will win, and maybe Sweden will get King Henrik in the net!

Kind of a win-win-situation for team Sweden on this series. If Ottawa gets eliminated, it's Silfverberg, Karlsson and possibly Alfie and Zibanejad, if it's the Rangers who are done after this it's Lundqvist, Hagelin and Strålman.

You swedes have everything going for you right now.
:chuckle:

I'm hoping you get King Henrik. :**

25 games for Torres!!! :-o Did someone expected that? I can say I wasn't. Great decision Shanny.

I'll reserve my decision on whether this was a great decision...if this is actually a new precedent, great decision! But if it's just throwing an unpopular guy under the bus I'm not giving Shanahan credit for anything.....Torres left his feet, and the hit was late, but it was a hockey play IMO - Weber's cheap shot and the constant chirping by "the rats" of the game get nothing, hitting/targeting the opponent's head with the elbow or stick gets only a couple/few games if that....Shanahan has been just as bad/inconsistent as anyone before him IMO

Watch the video on NHL.com -- Shanahan explains in detail what Torres did and why he was suspended for 25 games. I didn't realize he'd been suspended 5 times for targeting player's heads. 3 of them were this year (including the Hossa hit).

I'm glad they are doing something about him.

Hossa didn't had the puck for a few time, Torres did it in the past like Timmy said and he was skating like a train to charged him, that's enough for me and not a hockey play at all to me. Maybe you like too much the Flyers from the 70's.....

You both missed the point of my comment... the point I was addressing was whether Shanahan deserves "credit" for this suspension, and I thought it was easy to give Torres this suspension plus a lot of Shanahan's previous/recent decisions have been lenient IMO (so I don't give Shanahan "credit" for suspending Torres as if he's addressing the issue of head shots by doing so)

Well IMO it's still him who decided the suspension, so I give him the credit. The fact he has been inconsistent though is another matter. But Torres, if we compare to Weber, was way more easy to do. Weber wasn't suspended 3 times in the past year or so. It would've needed a suspension of course but at the same time, if the NHL would've better and bigger fines, like the NFL does, what he has done to Zetterberg would've not necesserely need a suspension with a good fine. Something like 250 000$. That is something the NHL should change but of course they will not do it.

New Jersey and the Rags are in trouble, another two series that goes wrong in my predictions. :-D St-Louis just scored two goals in 45 seconds to take the lead 2-1 with 7 minutes left. Way to go!! :joy: :joy:

Edit: Goodbye San Jose woot woot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :groupwave: :groupwave:  Bunch of losers I'm so happy they choked again!!

Down goes Vancouver too. Wow.....wasn't expecting them in the Cup final this year but certainly not a loss against the Kings. Poor Vigneault, he will probably lose his job.
