GGGRRRRAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!! #%$^$#*!@()$%#&*!@ :censored: :censored:

I knew we had too few injuries in the regular season. Now the gremlins are coming out of the woodwork. Good news is we won the game and series. We're now onto the cup finals vs. the Rag$ and they look scary!!

[font=Trebuchet]at first my team was doing ok. until all all my defense men have taken turns getting injured. in particular aucoin he seem to have cronic hip problems (not unlike my wife). ruutu went down for 3 months with a torn ACL. and lalime seem to colapse alot in the thrid period. At least my team are scores alot of goals. alot of 5-6, 4-3 kind of losses. still i am in 3rd place (my division really sucks) so I am 14-11-03 but 2-6-2 in my last 10 games.
i have used a modified "slapshot" tactic but with and a neutral zone trapping sceme but i think I need to make some changes, because my defense is just not strong enough.

hey so I'm checking to see if waiver pick ups count as ufa signings for the 2. I just saw a big name go on waivers, but I already have 2 signings ready to go in the spring (from Europe). Would I have to cancel one of these I were to claim off waivers.

Waiver wire pick ups do not count as UFA's. They are the lucky ones. Just make sure you have proof it was a waiver. Cause if Thornton, Marleau etc end up on someone's team...we may ask why.

Heatley has been gold for me. Since arriving he has put up almost 2 points a game. He has 24 games played as a blackhawk and 47 points.

I left in season #2 with little changes. In June I traded Kvasha and Lapointe (who I wasn't going to get rid of) to Canucks for Matt Cooke, Sami Salo and the rights of Sergei Shirokov. That was my biggest move. I would have liked to get better goalie but since I couldn't make a decent deal with anyone, I signed Weekes back from free agency. Also Fedotenko (who I was going to get rid of) came back because he agreed to sign in in very decent price.
'Cause Kvasha was gone, I needed one physical center, so I signed Wayne Primeau from free agency. And the most recent deal is the one I'm most excited. Not for getting some bargain, but because I really am looking forward to these two guys I got. I dealt Duncan Keith (who was a disappointment to me) to Islanders for Masi Marjamäki and the rights to Tomás Marcinko.
I have now 43 players under contract and 23 of them are under 25 years old. The team is young, but very promising - and if things wouldn't work well, young players are easier to trade away.

My roster looks like this in the beginning of season #2:

goalies: Weekes/Caron
d-men: Barker, Regehr, Stuart, Aucoin, Lilja, Salo, Seabrook
left wingers: Hollweg, Holmqvist, Huselius, Moreau, Sturm
centers: Arkhipov, Bolland, Marleau, Primeau, Sharp
right wingers: Cooke, Fedotenko, Ruutu, Vrbata

And yeah, Barker got three assists in his second game. Way to go!

Heh! Maybe..but someone just started...so all is fine.

I was thinking we should be starting a new thread for chat for 3rd and 4th seasons. This can be 1 and 2.

Anyway...So Trade deadline blog is up for 2nd season 07-08,. Tis an extra cause lots of stuff happened.

My roster now includes:

Heatley-.....nope not telling you.l Read the blog!

And yeah CatchUP...I am spamming....phfft ... whatever.

Hypnotist: No bud, you're not alone! :) I'm in season 1 too, though i'm actually in the Conference Finals.

By the way, don't worry about that. The deadline is 15th September for games 1-20 of season 1, so you're already in advance! :D

I Finished my 1st 20 games from 3rd season and so far so good.

Thorton worths US$6 milliion, his rating is around 9.4

Most surprising is the numbers that my 2nd line Stall - Connolly - Ruutu have so far (i don't know if game's A.I. is neglecting something), all the attention are on Sturm - Thorton - Havlat.

One thing that i didn't figured out yet is how to improve my prospects, right now i'm trying bruins72 setup and working on both clubs but so far no changes. :-?

Man...I have finished my 82 games for year 2. Blog will come tomorrow. Right now I am in the playoffs. I am having the most interesting/fun playoff season ever. One could say it is heart attack inducing.

For the HG players in season 2 and beyond: The max 25 games played is reagular season games only or regular season and playoffs? I'm not going to have any trouble with this years, but I may want to sit one or two guys during the playoffs if those games count.

Reg season only. Players can play as many playoff games without ruining Calder eligibility, as they want.

Okay..have not posted season 2 stats yet. I am done the year, and reg season blog is up. I will be getting to my playoff one hopefully today.

I will get the numbers up later..BUT darn! The trade deadline worked wonders. Heater went insane in the last month and a bit. So did Havvy kind of. WOW!

21 goals 10 assists in 14 games in March for Heater! WOW!

Financially..I am in a bit of trouble..even with the extra 2 mill. I have moved Lapointe and Holmqvist for picks ...Heater has a big new deal ($5.75) and I want to keep him. Vrbata won't sign...may have to let him go for nothing, and keep Aucoin as a core player.

So core may end up being

Seabrook
Arkhipov
Hamilton
Blunden
Barker
one of Aucoin/Vrbata

plus HG guy

But I may have to go young with the rest of roster after 1st line..so could end up with like 3 or 4 guys who are supposedly homegrowns. All appear ready though:

Grabovsky, McArdle, Coburn, Wilson, Toews, Bolland, Price, Leino all had over 7.3 ratings average in Norfolk (toews lowest and he went up to 7.9 in playoffs)...and only Grabovsky and Leino are ineligible to be my homegrown player for 2008-09. What choices I have.

I won the CUP!!!! :1st:

I came from behind in 3 of the 5 games. I'll post blog tomorrow, right now need sleep. Something else amazing happened. St. Louis won the draft lotto and on a whim, I made a play for the 1st overall pick. I offered my 1st round pick (30th overall), the rights to Tony Lagerstrom & Chris Auger. AND THEY ACCEPTED!?!?!?! :dunno:  I'd be happy to provide screenshots as I don't really believe it either. In all likely hood, I'll prolly trade it off for a lower 1st round pick and a good goalie prospect. Anywho, good night.

Wow..another double post for me. I will show myself out.

but not til after I congratulate Lidas. He is the first person who has made it through 3 seasons, without 1 single recording stat or roster issue!

Atta boy Lidas! Someone can understand our way out their rules!

Best of luck to the rest of you too. I know not many have even got to SEASON 3, but I felt Lidas deserved acknowledgement for playing the game the way it should be played.

Cept for the 20,000 PIMS for Hollweg in season 2. Sheesh,..chill out already. :-D
