Ah man, that was disappointing. :thdn:

Weak weak goals on Carey. OH well, at least the 9 young guys on the team learned that it takes a hell of a lot of effort to REALLY win. Carbo and Muller will whip these boys over the summer and we'll come out gunning next year.

All I have to say is Go Pens Go. Oh and Go Sharks. That is my dream final right now.

Booo Philly. Booo Dallas. Booo Dead Things. BOOOOO.

Oh man you gotta love Philly right now...So many hates the team in here..
I'll be one to support them all the way past Pens ;)

Gooo Dallas!

Every team that is left in the playoffs...I hate.

I really think they should just cancel the playoffs this year. :-D

Well, you've got one less team to hate batdad, as the Rangers are joining many others to the World Championship golf :D They may be joined by the Sharks in a few hours...

I'm in favor of the cancelling of the playoffs... :D I can't stand Detroit, nor Dallas, nor San Jose... Absolutely don't care about Philly... Somehow like the Pens, but mostly because they are my best friend's favorite team. Other than that, they are not enough physical to my tastes.

Now this is a good hockey game. 3 OT Sharks-Stars

Yes,this is so unbeliavable..3 OT..I'm almost tired to watch it already :-o Let's see who takes it home

Both the pens and the stars went through.

I cannot wait to see Philly take on the Pens as that will be brilliant.

As for Detroit vs Dallas... Go Detroit :-D

4th overtime....I am devastated to say the least...3 years in a row that we have won 2 games in the second round, not good enough. Bye Bye Ron Wilson :-)

I would have said bye bye Joe Thornton, but well... I feel a bit sad for Nabokov. He did terrific saves in this playoffs in both rounds. It must be frustrating for him to see that some of his teammates weren't working as hard as he did.

Turco confirmed his last year's playoffs performance, and seems to no longer be soft in the post-season. However, after a tiring series against the Sharks, will the Stars be fresh enough to face Detroit? I doubt...

In the East, Hossa seems to find his place in the Pens lineup. It may be too much for the Flyers to handle... but Biron is a wall so far... After eliminating Ovechkin, will he eliminate Crosby?

The only way that will happen is if the late Mr. Connell's heirs lose their minds and hire Dougie MacLean to run the team into the ground again!!
Hypnotist wrote:A Toast Here's to hoping the Dallas-San Jose series goes to 7 hard-fought, bloody games!
With that 3 1/2 OT marathon last night it technically did go to 7 games!!!! YEAH BABY!!!

I've got to say that the east is making me nervous though. Two young, hungry teams who are getting great goal tending. Now my hope is that Pittsburgh and Philly tear each other up, that Crosby gets another high ankle sprain, Malkin's shoulder pops out again and Umberger gets another concussion (don't really wish that anyone gets hurt, just sayin'...)

Actually, don't be too surprised if Brule is moved. He is gaining a bad reputation as being lazy, and not willing to go the extra mile in CBJ. He has not even played well for Syracuse in the AHL playoffs apparently. At least form what I hear

Edit: Just checked....Gilbert has 1 point in 8 playoff games with the Crunch. 14 PIMs. Jackets are not getting what they bargained for here. Howson and Hitch may start listening to reasonable offers.

Right now..that is a 3rd round pick and a tired old vet who cannot do anything anymore. Like say....I dunno...hmm....Who is completely useless and has a contract? I know...Nolan Baumgartner.

Nah, that'll just give them an excuse to complain once they lose.

Plus, with our luck, the refs will ad-lib again and call it "kneeing", and give us a 30-minute major. ;)

The Laffs have canned Maurice... you know, because he's the real problem there.

Heh. I think it is funny. Cliff Fletcher is still the interim GM. They have no coach. Um...here is a bit of a problem. What coach who is worth his salt would take a job offered to him by an INTERIM GM.

Unless of course...that guy is already going to be the GM too. Pat Burns anyone?

by bruins72
I thought Burns still had intentions of going back to the Devils organization?

Posted: Wed May 07, 2008 6:31 pm

Possible. But I think if anyone comes across with a more attractive offer he would be silly not to jump.

I just don't see anyone wanting that freaking coaching job, without knowing who the GM is gonna be.

Which is why I think they are close to naming one. Otherwise they would have waited to can Maurice.

Possible Loosie. But we all know Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment is a bit of well...they are ridiculous. A dog and pony show.

I could even see Tannenbaum, Peddie and Fletcher naming themselves co GMs. Ugh. Oh well, its just the LAffs
