12.2 seems to be broken. It keeps crashing to desktop for me when loading up.

A couple of things, I'd like to know when it is crashing (Initializing Game Data vs Creating Shortlists) and are you using the recommended settings, specifically Retain All Teams?

I've found A) a reboot can fix this (sometimes EHM doesn't completely clear out of memory/cache after a crash), B) A redownload of the DB has fixed it for others.

I've just started playing EHM and have encountered a few issues with the game crashing when using the TBL rosters:

Database name and version number: TBL Rosters 12.2
In-game date of crash: Often November 7, 2019 even though I have managed to get past this date a few times. On those occasions, the game crashes on November 9, 2019. Bit of extra info on the Nov. 9th crash, when it crashes, I have 24 players on my active roster and Nov. 9th is a game day.
Any error message displayed: No, game just closes
Leagues selected as Enhanced: NHL
Leagues selected as View Only:
Canada: Ligue Nord-Americaine de Hockey, Canadian Hockey League Memorial Cup, WHL, OHL, QMJHL
Finish Liiga
Russia KHL
Swedish Hockey League
USA: AHL, ECHL
Add key staff (yes/no): Don't think so
Disable all extra staff (yes/no): Don't think so
Disable all extra staff (yes/no): Don't think so
Add players to playable leagues (yes/no): Don't think so
Add extra junior players (yes/no): Don't think so
Add players to national team pools (yes/no): Don't think so
Retail all teams (yes/no): No

I also tried to create a new save with the suggested settings of Generate Extra Junior Players and Retain All Teams on but the game crashed when going to the screen where I pick my team.

Sorry this is your first experience with EHM! If you could send me the save game that would really help, cases like this we can debug it. If you happen to still have the save try to save the game right before the crash if possible (or as close to it). I can provide you a link to my Dropbox if you need somewhere to upload it to, just shoot me an email xeck29x @ gmail.com.

Also try unsubscribing/resubscribing, sometimes the files can be corrupted when downloading.

Started playing EHM very recently, using TBL Rosters 12.2.1. However, my game keeps crashing when trying to continue on November 10th, 2019 - it successfully simulates games between NYR/FLA and COL/TOR, but afterwards immediately closes without any error message.

The only league I've enhanced is the NHL, as for view-only, I have the (U.S.) AHL, ECHL, (Canada) OHL, WHL, QMJHL, top 2 Swedish and Russian leagues, and finally the top Austrian, Czech, Danish, Finnish, German, Slovak and Swiss leagues.

I believe (99% sure) I'm using the modified database with already added young players, and all the adequate settings to go along with that.

It's unfortunate, as this games has quickly become one of my favourites when it comes to lazy afternoons or evenings, so hopefully a solution will be found - if my save file is needed, I can obviously provide.

Hello. I have this issue with playoffs in EHM. Not sure if it's rosters fault but it could be. I'm using TBL Rosters 12.2.2.

So I started my save in KHL (with these leagues also loaded: Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Germany, NHL, AHL) and first season went well, no problems at all. But season season didn't have playoffs, not a single round. I also checked NHL and also no playoffs. And looking at the standings I think I see the problem - In 62 game season two teams have 61 games and you can see that it's already June while the season should have ended in March, i think. So the game is probably waiting for all teams to play 62 games and then start the playoffs but there are no more games in the schedule, so i just vacationed until next season and nothing happens until new schedule is created and next season starts. And the same thing happened in next season too, only difference being that some teams finished with 61 games and some with 63.

So basically, first season - all good, after that - no playoffs. I have the save files if needed

Shoot me over the save game, sounds like an issue with scheduling that may have been addressed in this upcoming release.

I think it was discussed somewhere or I "think" I've seen it once. I honestly don't know if it's a DB related issue or a game issue but I just traded someone in my save and in the next game the guy still appear in my line-up for some reasons. Does that ring a bell to anyone?

I noticed that with newest TBL rosters Hungarian Erste Liga playoffs don't start. Teams should play 30 games, but they only play 27 and season doesn't progress onwards.

I've tried loading the game with only NHL and Norway (both leagues). Had everything on it's original settings + retain teams. Crashes as soon as it gets to the end of the loading. This was also with the Norwegian starting date, so maybe the American one makes it okay.

I don't know where to post that since I wonder if it's in-game or a roster issue but I had a bug yesterday during a draft and it was the first time it happened to me. It's nothing major but I found it weird that the game told me I was picking at the 10th spot and when I did the draft I picked at the 13th spot.

I even checked the draft order and I was ranked 10th there too.

Question - I have read on here in regards to crashes about "recommended settings" and am wondering where I could find those? My understanding of this is if I follow the recommended settings then it should minimize the crashes? Hope someone can help since I haven't been able to play through a full season yet. Thanks.

I've recently started playing again and I'm also having this July 15 2019 crash. Can't vacation around it.
Database name and version number: TBL Rosters 12.4.1 (I think, this is in my downloads page in game however I began the game before this was released)
In-game date of crash: July 15 2019
Any error message displayed: Windows error saying program has stopped working, no in game message
Leagues selected as Enhanced: NHL
Leagues selected as View Only:
Canada: Canadian Hockey League Memorial Cup, WHL, OHL, QMJHL
Czech Tip Sport Extraliga
German DEL
Finish Liiga
Russia KHL
Swedish Hockey League

Do you know on what real life date you started your game? You won't be using version 12.4.1 if you started your game before the database was released. However, I can figure out what version your using from the date on which you created your database. I think this is mentioned in the pop-up window when you are selecting which saved game to load.

What was the in-game start date? I'm guessing you used the early start date option which is around 2 July 2019?

There was a bug in certain versions of the database prior to v12.4.1 which could cause instability. Are you able to create a new saved game using the v12.4.1 and sim beyond the date? If so, it might be worth starting afresh.

I started the game Sept 28 2019 in the real world.
I have played 1 season and the in game date is now July 14 2019 so I must have started the game in 2018 EHM date.
As for the version, I know JT MIller is NOT on the Canuck`s roster

When you say a new saved game do you mean start the game again from scratch?

Ok that would sound like you're using the v11.2 TBL Rosters. Sadly this is a known issue to affect some, but not all, users (see here). You might be able to sim through the crash by reducing detail levels as follows but it's not something anyone has tried as far as I'm aware:

1) Click on the settings icon in-game (the cog located in the top right corner of the screen, near the date) and then select ‘Selected Leagues’. Change all of the active leagues (other than the league your coaching in) to 'View Only'.
2) Click on the settings icon in-game and then select 'Detail Level' . There are two drop-down menus entitled 'Preset Configuration'. Make a note of what these currently say and then select 'None' for each. This should in turn change all other drop-down menus to 'None'.

This *might* allow you to get beyond that date. Once you have gone beyond that date, restore the simulation settings to what they were beforehand.

Yes that's right. If you cannot get beyond the date still then unfortunately you will likely have to start a new game.

The QMJHL draft is also pretty messed up sometimes. I dunno what's causing it but here's an example that happened an hour ago. I start the draft and it tells me I'm drafting at the fourth place. The team before me had 2 picks back to back, #2 and #3. They pick the first and then it's already my turn at #3. The real #3 is completely skipped and I can clearly see that the team hasn't picked anyone since the team's name hasn't disappear on the draft list. I fast foward to round two....round two appears 3 picks later and it's already my turn, at pick #6.

The other 12ish teams that were supposed to draft in the first round got all skipped.

I decided to auto-complete the draft and in the end, all the teams were able to draft all of their picks but in a pretty messed up order. The Q has 18 teams and the first round was completed with pick #3, which was me. At the beginning of the month I also posted about that issue with one of my draft. the other years were fine though.

I'll check that later Archi, I think I might only have a save after it. I was also using the Pivot Roster. I can't say if it's a DB issue or not as it was my first game ever in the QMJHL.
