Whats all the hype about the Bergeron rumors???
Is Chiarelli really that mad and does he really consider to trade away Bergeron??
Have read some rumours about that in the HF-forums...well, it seems these rumours come from Eklund, so its probably nothing, but Iam getting nervous over here!!!!
If he trades away Bergeron I would make myself a Sharks fan

.....nahhh, I like to suffer and would stick with the spooked B, forever, I guess...
Some feedback from the other side of the pond would be appreciated!!!

The Bergeron rumors are just that.... rumors. They're totally baseless

. Like you read, most are from Eklund. I heard that Gainey inquired about Bergeron around the draft and Chia didn't even listen to who he was offering before he turned him down.

Uffff, that will make my sleep a bit more confortable!!!! Thanks bud!!!

Do u imagine Bergeron with a Habs jersey.....

Yeah,. and Samsonov would have been back in black and gold.
Bergeron to Vancouver for Ohlund. Betcha that Ekbonehead gets that up. He seems to forget..Ohlund has a NO TRADE CLAUSE, and BOSTON WILL NOT move BERGERON!

Actually, I think there was already talk about that Ohlund deal but it's been shot down. I think I read about it at Spector's and he immediately dismissed it.
I really can't imagine Bergeron in a Habs jersey. I remember in his first season with the Bruins he mentioned in an interview that he great up as a Nordiques fan and hated the Habs. Sure, when you're a professional hockey player you've got to put aside your old likes and dislikes of youth but somethings, like Hab-hating, are hard to kick!

LOL, if I remember right that was one of the possibilities Ek has mentioned

....u would love that, right batdad!!!
I rather pick Brent Sopel from free agency...

Nope I would not. Although we have a solid d-core without Matt, to me he is like Linden...a true Canuck. He should not be dealt for anything less than the rights to John Tavares. So in other words, he will never be dealt.
Ohlund is the player I most want my son to emulate. Gracious, not cocky..and works his butt off for the best interests of his team. He is a leader, and a great player. One of the most underrated players out there. Especially with the emergence of Bieksa, and the play of Mitchell and Salo here. Ohlund is the d-core glue...he can play in so many different styles and situations.

I think its kinda sad that a player like him has to go out playing in Europe when no one in the NHL wants him.

Yeah..and the bars stay open all nite there. It was either Europe or ECHL (Vegas) for Mr. Belfour.

I'm sure he had offers from NHL teams, he probably just doesn't want to be a back-up.

SEL is propably the third bestest league in the world, right after NHL and Russian Super League. A goalie could do alot worse.
And this coming from someone living in Sweden's number one hockey enemy: a Finn, so it must be true!
Edit: Oops, Leksand is in Allsvenskan...
I take it back, a goalie like Ed Belfour could do alot better!

Thank u Kings!!!!
Man, Iam happy he's gone...

Yeah, me too. He was already pretty much gone already anyhow. He was still working for the team in a position other than coaching. In other words, they were going to make him do something to earn his pay... even if that meant scrubbing toilets. Lewis being hired to be an assistant just means the Bruins don't have to pay him anymore. I guess it all worked out well though. It's better for Lewis too. From all accounts I've read, he's a really nice guy despite who he looks like and how he coaches.

Jan Bulis signed a 2 years contract with the Moscow Khimiki.
There are rumours here in montreal that Montreal is trying to get Patrick Marleau via transaction.

The sharks need to get rid of marleau, for a good 1 or 2 defensman, they have JT, cheech, michalek, bernier all lookin good, and marleau is too much for a 2nd line center, over $6 million, but the defense sucks, they just need a solid defensive defensman, and there team is pretty sorted

Might still be a possibility, would explain why the sharks gave him as much as they did.
