EHM The Blue Line

The news telling about contract extensions in NHL seem to add the ongoing contract to the news i.e I sign a player with 4 year extension and the news say 5 year

I don't know if it's a bug or I should pay more attention to the game but this just happened to me. Game is tied and for some reason I decide to pull my goalie with 1 minute left. It did not worked and we go to OT. OT starts and the other team scores an empty net....I thought that the OT was counting as another period so the goalie would automatically be brought back into the game but it seems not. Anyway it's more funny than anything else.

I'm playing Finnish Liiga with TPS. My team affiliates are TPS junior teams but they are not playing any games. Just wondering is this right? If yes, is there any reason to send my young players there to develop?

How far are you into the season? Unplayable leagues don't fully simulate actual games, but if you place your players there they will get games into their stats and develope accordingly. If not, then I guess there's something wrong.

Thaks Tasku. I was in first season and only played 10 Liiga games, after that there were zero games in junior teams. Then I quick sim one month and now junior league team play games. I guess everything is okey and my players get change to develope

I made it through to this year's final, and as the games are scheduled at the same time as a U20 tournament I am doing it without 3 of my regular players (and accidentally forgot to replace them in my playing roster), but I still managed to sneak my first OT win, all is fine and well. Then in the second game I get a late OT winner, only now it doesn't count as me winning the game, so now I'm feeling the game doesn't want me to win the cup



Compare the results and what the series standings are

I always add myself as the Manager of the u20 team and kick the players out when that happens, in the name of realism. Nobody would call or force players to play in some practice tournament when their team is playing the finals IRL.

I had players out on loan I could return home, I just missed putting them in the game roster. But the more annyoing part was my second win counting as a loss for some reason

That would sometimes happen in EHM 07. I've not heard of it happening in EHM 1, but I have now.

Playing in the AHL, I came across a very bizarre bug. During the 3 on 3 OT if my coach doesn't send out a recognized center, then nobody from my team will take the faceoff! It's just the opponents center alone. Happened more than a couple of times.

As a workaround, just save before every important match and reload if it bugs. I always force-win if something like that happens (if I won the match in the first place, that is).

I did restart it a few times after it had happened (saved before every game) and regardless if I did changes to the line-up, the result in the game was the same, 3-2 for my team in OT but recorded as a loss.

Where can I send broken savegame? I can't skip 16th of May 2017, right after World Championships... Simulation trick doesn't work, I've completely lost motivation to play, right after winning Championship with my Fribourg-Gotteron

Anyone else having problems with some NHL teams being way below the salary floor? Have a look at Ottawa below for example, they also have some super prospects that they didn't extend but still own the rights to.

You're in 2041, so I'm assuming you're also still playing a game you started during the EA-phase? I'm thinking, since each patch is accompanied with an announcement that the full effects of the patch can only be reached by starting a new game, and piling up with patches that only partly work, you end up with a "future" like this. It might be worthwhile to simulate a fresh game into, say 2040, and then see if this issue repeats.

Yes it is an old save, this is something I would expect could be fixed without starting a new career but perhaps you are right. Been thinking of starting over anyway but it is hard to abandon a team you really like.

I have the same situation. I'm in 2032, but still going. At least for now. I'm not going to abandon my star wingers Nicholas Mast, Byran Friesen and my future star goalie Fredrik Nummi that easily!

FYI in my most recent test, done over the last couple weeks, on NHL opening night in October 2045 there are no teams below the Salary Floor - the lowest team is the Ducks at 56.425 million. The Ducks are one of 5 teams below 60 million; 10 teams are over 67 million

I should've guessed Nino has already simulated such a test!

Wasn't sure where to put this but I've been struggling with defensive players AvR. My 4th line center who also plays lots of PK had 6.35 AvR in Regular Season in 82 games and so far in Playoffs 9 games and 6.11 Not the first defensive player who I've struggled with. Any thoughts?

I've been scratching my head with this too. The defenders play okay, but defensive line plays bad. Low ratings and lots of minus in the +/- category. I've been trying to tweak the line's tactic and look for the right recipe. No luck so far.

You can add me to that list. I have a pretty solid defensive line IMO but they always perform poorly. Low rating and +/- horrible too. I tried to put the line less on the defensive (because I thought that maybe they were getting trapped in their zone too much) but it did not changed anything. Except that my third line scores more than usual but the rest sucks.
