So far Moulson really surprise me, i like the kind guy who came out of nowhere and prove something, but we are just at the beginning of the season so let see if he can maintain the rythm.

For Filatov i'm surprise the see that the Jackets let him go, but he will certainly play more then at CLB so is good for is progress.

Even if he doesn't keep up his current pace, I don't think it would be too much of a stretch for him to score 25 goals this season.

Maybe :-k

Maybe he would make a Cheechoo of himself. :-D But so far great addition for the Isles.

Peverley has been quite the treat to watch this year... 23 points in 17 games or something along those lines. Glad I have him in my pool :-D :-D

Yeah another one who is really surprising! Really help the Thrashers so far and playing well with Kovalchuk.

He's not even on a line with Kovy. He's playing with Kane and Armstrong on the 3rd line, which makes it even more impressive.

I wonder if the HHOF will take the incident in St. Louis into consideration when they vote on Shanahan. ;)

Shanahan--Great player. Shanahan--all time great? which is what HHOF should be. No.....but who knows...there are some real bums from the Laffs of the 60s who were barely third liners in there.

Anyway...Shanny is very borderline in my opinion.

I'm not disagreeing with you - I kinda hate Shanny - but isn't he about 10th on the all time goals list?

He as play for the Wings this is enough to hate him. :-D

He had the most career Gordie Howe hat tricks. I think that's enough for an in. :-p

I honestly don't care for people who decide to have an affair with a friends wife.

Always makes me laugh a bit whenever I read about what a fantastic person Shanahan is and similar.

His stats and accomplishments will probably put him in the HOF though, although I doubt it will be in his first year of eligibility, unless it turns out to be an unusually poor year.
1354 NHL points, 3 Stanley Cup rings and a Triple Gold Club membership WILL put you in there eventually.

Was it Craig Janney's wife that Shanahan had an affair with? Didn't Lindros pull a similar move?

Hell look at Brodeur! Slept with his wife's sister.

Just kidding. Really stupid from him. Bad move. :\

Chelios did the same with Corson wife at MTL. And who's been trade later?

Yeah, it was Janney's wife. Shanahan and her even got married in the end.
From what I've heard Janney and Shanahan where very close friends before it happened as well.

It's like the ultimate betrayal.

It's all children's play in terms of controversy when compared to the stuff some basketball, American football and soccer players have done though.

Ya. He had to pay some massive alimony and child support to his wife.

Not that it excuses what Shanny did but I think there were other issues between Janney and his wife. I've heard through the grapevine that he enjoyed the white powder a little too much. That's just hearsay though.

Would certainly explain why the wife would find herself attracted to the husbands best friend though, if true.

All this gossip talk makes me feel like those annoying women who have nothing better to do than spread rumours about people. :P

Gionta has a fracture in his foot and is out indefinitely. Crapola. If he's done for more than a month, the Habs are screwed. We've only got one legit line as it as and he was 1/3 of it.

I'm not a math wiz but wouldn't Gionta be 1/6 of the top line? The Habs are all smurfs, so they should each count as halfs. So half of 1/3 is 1/6. Right?

:-p
