I don't think it was implemented into the UUDB. If you want to be absolutely sure, you could send a PM to Alessandro - he'd be able to confirm for sure.

You're right, it wasn't implemented. I just looked at the screenshots Animal31 posted. Where league leaders had ~130 points in each season. So I'll have to fix that for the next release.

UUDB 6.1 released
Download Link:
http://www55.zippyshare.com/v/31337774/file.html
New in 6.1
- Added the "EHM Scoring Realism Patch" to UUDB (= no more 70+ scorers and 10-8 games)
- Edited the attributes & PA of ~30 future prospects
- Edited the attributes & PA of ~20 NHL players
I posted it here while we wait for archi to put it in the right topic.

(this was sent to archibalduk also)

Great work. One question though, how come nearly all forwards have offensive potential set to 20?

Nevermind, just realised I asked this exact question about a year ago when I tried the realism patch for the first time....

What did you mean by offensive potential set to 20?

I think Offensive Role was meant. Where you set the player's Offensive and Defensive roles 1-20.

Ahhh, okay, those! Well I've edited some of them, but of course not all. Ctid did you get an answer on the question?

unfortunately that realism patch was only found to work very well with the active rosters at the time, which i think were Manimal v4. wholescale changes to the attributes of players, which happened in v5, meant the patch didn't work so well, and you might not get great results with CJv6 either, but it should be a lot better than the default settings, and the patch settings could always be fine tuned by the user to make any given roster more realistic. keep up the good work CJ!

Hi friends...so I have been trying out the unfaking database...pretty cool, here are my initial observations and questions...I copy pasted the contents of the UUDB into the data folder...perhaps I did some thing wrong? I could not find instructions or a readme file...
Aggression is down across the board...but not for goalies? What is the rationale or reason for this? Brashear, Avery, Cooke, Ott have an aggression of 10,9,9,8, respectively on a scale of 20...
Consistency is down across the board...numerous (high profile) forwards have a rating of 5 on 20? Did you forget to put the 1 in the tens column for all the forwards? I guess it is no longer a factor because players still seem to do well independent of their low consistency number indicated in the game...ironically the defencemen consistency is usually above 10...
I went exploring the database folder just in case I missed a read me file or something and I found "MET Attribute Editor" I double clicked it...and well some stuff happened...supposedly randomized the database? But when I loaded a new game and the pregame editor to load the database, the old attributes of the players were the same...at least it very well seemed that way?

The aggression is like that in all new databases, I don't know the real reason, but I'm sure someone here does know the real reason, those aggression numbers where all made in (5.0 version) Consistency I have no idea of. I edited a few hundreds of players and tried to make em as realistic as possible. And of course there are still those who would need some editing. In my version I mainly focused on CA/PA of the players.

The agression values are a side-effect of the Realism Patch.
There were too many penalties so everyone got their agression lowered, pretty much resulting in tough guys not acting so tough

yes to this. the game mechanics don't work properly for aggression/fighting. either you have the right number of fights, but too many minors and too many PPs, or you have the right number of PPs but not enough fights. you can't have the right balance of both because the aggression attribute controls 99% of the level of all types of penalties.
consistency is the absolute key attribute to scoring, for whatever reason. if you have the normal values of (1-20) then players score too much, and almost every game finishes with the winning team scoring at least four goals, at least with every roster i've ever played with - try it and see. so that's why consistency is a lot lower than it could be for all forwards, to try and keep scoring realistic.

Thanks guys for your responses, much appreciated.
Thanks, CJ, I feel I probably installed the UUDB correctly, I am just curious mid season in my save game I ran the executable file "MET Attribute Editor" file, does that affect the database? How? Do I need restart a new season with the changes that file does?
Thanks Manimal I was wondering about the aggression attribute...but what happens to make so many goalies aggressive? I guess that was the random effect?
Thanks, bobmcgoo, I was really wondering about the consistency attribute being down across the board, how about for D-men consistency seems to be an important attribute as well? How comes D-men did not have their consistency attribute reduced?
I am really enjoying the update thus far,

, one cool aspect is that all the history up until 2006 is real, based on real life so it is nice to see the milestones, player history etc build from 2006 onwards. (This is not to insult the start date patch and the efforts for the history edit behind it I just never got it to work 100% without fear of a crash...)

I've been playing with the UUDB6.1 and the pre-game editor and I noticed that there is many players in wrong team with wrong 'team rights'.
Is it because they will be tranfer when starting a new game?
EX: Kyle Calder is on Chicago Blackhawks roster with 'Club contracted' to Philadelphia Flyers, Club playing for' Phi Flyers and Rights to Chicago Blackhawks.
In season 2006-07 he was playing for Philadelphia.

There are transfers in the .ini file (it was made by someone else in the previous releases), so I let them be as they're probably right. Could be a reason for it!?
EDIT: No that wasn't the reason. That's an error. I'm gonna fix that. Name more players if you find any.

Well I thought he could be in LA as he didn't play a single game in TB only in their AHL team a few games. Or I could just make a future transfer for him in the .ini file. But I'm not sure at what point LA picked him from the waivers.

He played 35 games for Tampa in 05-06 season and in 06-07 was send to AHL. I don't remember how he become Kings player - maybe buyout?

Ok I know the problem, it's when I filter the players by rights. He's under Dallas right so that's why he appears on Dallas list. So they are not on wrong roster, just wrong rights.(Does it affect something in game?)

Maybe?! I'll put the rights to Canadiens then so there wont be any problems.

Thanks for those! They've all been updated now.

Are there more to come?
