I put the database and the configs in the database folder with EHM and the beta rosters won't show up when I try to import a database. I've always done things the way workthespace has on youtube.
I guess part of the "beta experience" is no readme file HaHa

You don't import the Beta database (it's not in EHM07 format, it's already in EHM1 format.....so it makes sense to me that an EHM1 database doesn't show up as an EHM07 database you can import)

Sorry, I've never watched the youtube video you're referring to...Did you try making a folder (in your steam-steamapps-common-Eastside Hockey Manager-data-database folder) and putting the downloaded files in the folder? And then just selecting the database to start a new game with (no need to import)?

You should be able to choose the database (it should show up as whatever you called the folder)
You are the man.. thank you so much. I didn't do the make a folder part, and I tried it and it worked. Thank you very much, can't wait to start playing!

Few things

I am managing the Canucks and their ahl affiliate the Comets and when I'm the Comets GM and hit team report the game stops and says "eastside hockey manager has stopped working". Done it a few times now

Second thing, Kovalchuk should have NJ Devils rights till 2018 and he should want to come to NA as a key or core player.

Has anyone else noticed a drop in defensemen scoring? I've been running some tests and not even the best defensemen get over 50 points, meanwhile Matt Hunwick puts up around 40 points putting him in the top 10/20 for defensemen scoring. I'm not sure if this is a game engine problem or a DB problem, but I remember it being an issue when you run the NHL in quicksim (which I'm not).

It's likely a game engine problem. I'm using a variation of the TBL rosters that i've been updating myself all summer and in 5 seasons of tests only 3 dmen had 50+ assists "not" on quick sim of course. Here's the thing i've found, assists have always been down across the board with dmen and forwards, while the goals are too high for forwards. Well actually it's not that the goals are too high it's that too many players are capable of putting up too many goals. The guys that finish the top 3+ in goal scoring are always realistic to the real NHL but in EHM I often see 2 or 3 times as many 30 goal scorers as in the real NHL which I don't like. Getting 30+ goals is suppose to be an accomplishment where in EHM everyone and their mother can score 30 goals.

Has the game gotten a surprise or hidden update? I don't remember this being an issue last year when I was playing, but I also don't remember an update to the game since then...

I asked the same question there haha. I also asked when he started that save so it might not have been with updated rosters.

Are the rosters going to be ready soon? I thought they were supposed to be done for the start of the season.

I think they said opening night. They didn't say which opening night though. Soon I would imagine. If they were ready they would be released i'm sure.

I'm going to lock this thread as it has descended into a "when is it out" thread which was never the intention (this is a beta feedback thread). The pink box at the top of this forum answers the question on release dates.
