Lots of guys going on waivers today. I heard the Caps put Chris Bourque on waivers today. I have no interest in the Bruins picking him up. He dad was THE MAN but he's not so much. The Lightning also put former Bruins prospect, Matt Lashoff, up on waivers today. He was a part of the package the Bruins sent over for Recchi and Tampa's 2nd round pick.

Afinogenov make a 1 year deal/ 800 000$ with the thrashers....he wasn't really good last 2 year but for 800 000$ i think it's worth the try.
Dimitri Kulikov sign is first NHL career contract with the Panthers. I'm happy for him he is a great player and he will be in the Panthers plan for a long time i hope.
Robert Lang sign with the Pheonix Coyotes, it's a great addition for the Yotes. A veteran like that is always good when your team is young as the Coyotes.

I lost all respect for him when he made those comments about going to class at Boston University.

The Avalanche could use both of them immediately

He's grown up a very rich kid in a town that worshiped his father and the "Bourque" name. I'm sure that's given the kid somewhat of a big head. I hear his younger brother, Ryan (who I believe is draft eligible in 2010 or 2011), is much more level headed.

Ryan was drafted by the New York Rangers. A much better player IMO

Was it this past draft that he was eligible? WOW. Time flies. I thought he was younger than that. Too bad he went to the Rags.

Wow. Maybe it
was the defense in Detroit that made Legs look so good.
With Zherdev in contractual no-man's land and Fritsche traded then released, I think it's safe to declare that Columbus is the hands down winner in the trade with the Rags for Tyutin & Backman.

That would be a safe assumption!

No doubt Hypno. And I wonder if everyone will read this before they post next...
Canucks have not put Pavol Demitra on LTIR as was orignally thought. This means that they are right at the salary cap and have 23 on the roster. This should quickly end the Sundin/Forsberg stuff that was already being talked about on the radio.

I would like to see Sundin and Forsberg not in the NHL this season. They've both become distractions, IMO.

I read somewhere that the Canucks would have to be at a certain level in the salary cap to reap the benefits of the LTIR and they would not be there with both Schneider and Demitra on LTIR

Sorry that's late.
Zürich Lions won Chicago Blackhawks in Victoria Cup.

Lions best player was 40-year-old Finnish goalie Ari Sulander who has played over 10 years in Switzerland. I think he still can be number one goalie in few NHL-teams, Kari Jalonen wanted him to be goalie in last World Championships, but Sulander didn't wanted take Pekka Rinne's place in Finland's goalie. Hope you check out some Zürich Lions games and you can see him playin'.

I read that Forsberg is heading to Colorado for sure. They will announce it on Thursday. It can be good for Duchene, Stastny and other young guns to play with him at least few games (till his season ending injury

). I keep fingers crossed and hope he will help Avalanche to clinch the playoff spot this season. But I'm afraid they need better goalie for it.

I'm sorry to break your fun but Forsberg is heading to Denver to participate to the ceremony of the retire jersey of Joe Sakic....

Yeah, I know that. Journalists screwed things a bit

- again. But Foppa is considering his return anyway, so why not to Denver?

Mats Sundin retires.

I Hope that he keeps his promise to retire and i don't wish that he makes comeback in january like last year or like Scott Niedermayer and Teemu Selänne did in 2007-08.

Niedermayer and Selanne never "officially" called retired. They just said they needed to think the decision over. Where as Sundin has now officially retires.

Hodgson and Duchene in Brampton?? No Taveras in the OHL...I think we can predict Brampton and Windsor battiling it out

Sergei Kostitsyn decide to not report to the Hamilton Bulldogs and he ask to be traded! LOL
Good luck little selfish boy, hope you finish on waiver and nobody claim you!
Now who wants a guy who doesn't work and doesn't care about everybody? He just need a good

. Maybe it will replace is brain a little bit, that makes me think about the same situation about Grabovski....just hope is head will not get bigger than him....

Sorry my english, i just mean that Scott and Teemu started their season in middle of the season and i don't want that Mats or Foppa or anybody else would make same thing, but now i hope that Foppa wouldn't make NHL-comeback.
