GOTM: Vancouver Canucks

The two back-to-back games against the Canucks have been nominated Game of the Month. The Canucks are currently 1st placed in the Western Conference with 29 pts and a win percentile of 0.725. TBL, on the other hand, are 13th and have 16 pts and a win percentile of 0.400. In the last ten games Vancouver have gone 7-3-0 whereas we've gone 3-5-2. Vancouver are the clear favourites for both games - let's hope we can prove everyone wrong!

20th Nov: Van 3 @ 4s TBL

A pretty close game but the Canucks did look like they had the game in the bag halfway into third. Tasku and Keithv did well to put the game into OT. E5150_ca performed sublimely, saving all three of the Canucks' penalty shots. Octavian secured the victory with his penalty shot. Tasku was first star with a goal and assist as well as finishing with +1.

Quazeye injured his shoulder during the game and is out for about a week.

23rd Nov: TBL 3 @ 1 Van

This was a much more one-sided game than the previous one. Team TBL peppered the net and found Cloutier's achilles heel: the bottom right corner of the goal. It's a shame that E5150_ca couldn't get his shut-out but I guess you can't have everything. It's good to see three different lines score goals.

We knocked the Canucks off top spot, too

27th Nov: TBL 5s @ 4 Nas

A pretty close-run game. We did well to get two goals back after the Preds scored midway in the third period. There were an iincredible six PPGs scored (three each). Blackcats101 was pivotal in our win, getting three points. Minstrel, the team's rebel without a cause, was in the penalty box for four mins.

Quazeye has resumed full practice.

It wasn't my fault...

I took these supplement pills Arch told me he uses before his workouts and they made me feel all woozy and seeing double and stuff. I think I'm allergic. At one point my leg went completely numb and I couldn't hear out of my right ear. It was pretty bad...

Good to see that the team has bounced back though

Shots-wise it was a close game but goals-wise we were the superior team. KH even scored an unassisted goal

1st Dec: Nj 1 @ 4 TBL

A convincing victory for the mighty TBL! Quazeye and Octavian continued their good form, scoring two points each. Fifafan also played well, finishing on a +3. The Blue Meanie is back from his injury, too

I've denied rumours that Fifafan is on his way to the Flames.

5th Dec: Det 0 @ 3 TBL

This has to be the highlight of our season so far! Not only do we thrash the mighty Red Wings but we also get a shutout against them (well played, Bogsol)! Myself, Octavian and Quazeye were formidable on the first line.

The board were pleased with the result!

7th Dec: TBL 1 @ 2 Chi

It's a little disappointing that we conceeded in the third period having been ahead during most of the game. Perhaps we deserved to win, but I guess it was just one of those games. Nevertheless, our eight game winning streak was pretty good going

Well done crew!!! I am loving that Red Wings shoutout win! I guess we got a little carried away with the whole flying to Vegas to celebrate thing flying directly back to Chicago on game day :-P We didn't quite have the energy to finish the game off.

I told Wayne it was essential for "team building" and he agreed but I had to promise to not plan anymore team victory celebrations until over the Olympic Break when we are having that No Limit Hold 'Em poker event for Charity.

Oh, and Arch the Bellagio called and said there was some woman named 'Champagne' that had left you a bunch of messages after we left, know anything about that??

In about two or three weeks I think. We're going to have to send someone to the minors as we'll have 24 players on the roster once I remove you from IR.
