I don't understand why Swedish coaches don't have any sense what so ever for special teams.

Right now Tomas Holmström's playing 10 seconds of every power-play, and they've got Nick Lidström on the 2nd unit, playing like 45 seconds.

As long as the Canadian women can figure out how to beat Kim Marthin I think they're set. to the Swedes for beating the States

Theres quite a bit of dissention among hockey fans here in Canada over the womans team.

Some think they shouldn't run up the score, its not the 'Canadian' thing to do.

Others preach that home ice advantage in the finals is more important than letting other countrys have there dignity.

:dunno:

In my opinion, you should play to the best of your abilities. I see nothing wrong with giving a team a thrashing if you do it gracefully. I remember going to see a fooball/soccer match where my team was playing a semi-professional team. We won about 12-0 but both fans appreciated the skills on display and applauded each other. It was probably the most sportsmanlike game I'd ever seen.

Switzerland 2, Canada 0. Gerber saved 49 shots en route to a historic victory.

Hell just froze over.

That was such an embarrassement. Team Canada played like the leafs, I blame Pat Quinn through and through for this.

Swiss are on a roll at the moment. Top teams seem to underestimate Switzerland, or then the swiss are just having a tournament of their lives.

In any case, this is bad for finland, since now canada will surely be prepared more than well enough for the sundays game :p.

Could be a good time for Finland to play Canada. Not much pressure on Finland. But a good start is essential. If you can rattle an early goal in Canada may get frustrated and lose a bit of concentration.

A final game against Germany so if it goes bad against canada a godo win over Germany would still probably be enough to top the group. If a good result against canada happens then can rest a bit more and spread out the ice time against Germany.

Well done to Slovkia they haev done great 3 out of 3. Ok still sweden to play but if they show teh same work effic and commitement they have a good chance. Kazakstan is a game they shoudl really look to win though kazakstan kept a tight score against russia so they shoudl notbe underestimated.

Still I think at least 1 win from those 2 last games will happen. So top 2 is a realistic target and great for the tournament.

Go Finland! Impressive victory over Czech's. Though Vokoun wasnt at his best. And yeah, it may have changed the outcome if Jagr hadnt been injured, but hey, sorta his fault anyway ;p.

Exactly. The hit isn't from behind and it's not toward the head. Jagr had the puck along the boards, he HAS to be ready for a hit.

Naah, its not funny, and the smiley in my post didnt actually mean that. Just pointing out the fact that it wasnt ruutu's fault, and in my humble opinion the game misconduct was not right thing to do.
