Just put Ovechkin at full 20 for all technical skills and that sort of thing.
Make sure Criesby has full 20 in the 'whiner' category

This page might be useful for those wanting to add rookies to the game.

superb, cheers arch. Are you still enjoying the game?

Yeah I'm still enjoying it but I don't have much time to play it because of my studies. I think I need to adjust the slider settings because I'm finding that the game has become more and more arcadey as I up the difficulty.

Yeah-try those ones I recommended earlier-they are pretty good.
EDIT-actually they are excellent. They create a slower, more realistic game speed, with the emphasis on close puck control. The opposition offence also score a wide variety of goals, and the sliders help to eliminate certain problems with the default settings (such as the repetitive occurence of wrap-around goals). Give it a try!

I have been asking around on other forums archi amd a lot of people seem to think that the NTSC roster updates have a good chance of working on the PAL console. It might be worth a shot...

I am doing everything manually at the moment

1) 2005 Summer trades
2) 05/06 mid-season trades
3) create rookies
4) sort out lines
The trouble is, by the time i will have finished, everything will have changed again...

I still havent the game yet....hastnt arrived to Spain, seems they have missed the plane
But, from what I have read it is a little bit dissapointing that the rosters are sooo old, cmon, I have heard that even Martin Lapointe was on the Bs roster....is that right??
...and is it true that it really istnt that different from last years game??
So is it worth to buy it?? What do u guys (who have the game) say?? Need some feedback, lol!!

Despite the way out of date rosters I would still definitely recommend the game. Whilst maybe not hugely different from last years game, there are key differences, such as the ones I have mentioned in earlier posts ^. The free flowing animations and good puck control make it good fun to play. Get the above slider settings and you will play game after game. I would definitely suggest getting it, but perhaps rent it first to test it out if you are not sure. The main problem is that you will have to spend hours (and I mean days) before playing any games just getting it up to date....

Archi and flea-if I get a max drive, I will put my edited rosters up on TBL for you to have.
They will include...
1) All of last summers trades-eg Peter Forsberg to Philly etc
2) Most of the latest trades-eg Aebischer and Theodore
3) The important rookies created, such as Ovechkin, Budaj, Crosby, Lundqvist etc
4) I will try to edit the lines so they are as up to date as poss...
If you are interested then post here. I cannot guarantee that every trade will have been made, as this depends on my data and restrictions within the game, but I will do my best. If you want to know if a specific trade is in then post here and i will either confirm it or get onto it.
Version 1 will be ready in about a week I would reckon, but I need to order a max drive as well...

That sounds awesome and would be very greatly appreciated

All I've done is add one or two rookies and put the Bruins up-to-date. I got my Max Drive from Play (
Link).
Could you link to the sliders you're using? I couldn't find your link in this thread.

Nice job BlackCats!!!!
I will give it a try as soon as the plane with the game lands over here in the 3rd world!!!

Enjoy!-its is slower than normal, and I would perhaps alter it at some point to make the accuracy of the human passing better-at the moment it is nil. I'll get on to sorting the rosters for you guys, but I need to get the max drive, as well as sorting some problems out-like creating a third keeper for Minnesota so I can trade over Roloson to the Oilers. Along with working at Asda and coursework deadlines it could be a while. Be patient!

Don't rush it, dude. I'm really busy with revising and doing exams until June 6th so I won't really have any time for playing 2k6

Archi-do you reckon that there is any way to get the goal horns by using the Max Drive??
Posted: Thu Mar 30, 2006 1:14 pm
by archibalduk
No, sadly I don't think it's possible. The Max Drive is exactly the same as an XBox memory card (apart from the fact that it can also be plugged into a USB port). The XBox System thing (when you turn it on without a CD in) allows you to copy saved games to and from a memory card but that's it. The only way to copy over music would be via a CD or via FTP (if you get your XBox modded).

Harry Neale is OK, but we want Joe Bowen-I can see it now on every goal attempt -'HOLY MACKINAW!!!'

Right- I have dsone the trades but I need some of your help. 1) Where can I found out what stats to give Josh Harding? Without a third keeper at the Wild I cannot trade Roloson to the Oilers-and I want rid! 2) where can I find the most up to date depth charts? I tried ESPNs, but I swear that their lines seemed odd and out of date.
The sooner I can sort out accurate lines and get the final few major trades sorted (other trades are impossible to do as you cannot access the minor league database in editing) the sooner my rosters should be on the net....

If you are still interested in getting hold of my PAL xbox rosters I will get onto buying a max drive (i want one anyway).
I will also release the settings file with my slightly adjusted sliders form those i linked earlier, which has tweaked the speed burst and pass accuracy settings amongst others, to make the game even more exciting and realistic.
Have you got the game yet, flea?

Right...I have ordered my max drive from Play (along with a copy of the Manic's 'Lifeblood for just £2!

) I still need your help though guys.....I need an idea of the stats to give players not in the game but who aren't rookies, such as Josh Harding.
I also will tell you now that I cannot guarantee the accuracy of the depth charts- I have found various different line-ups depending on the websites I have visited
However despite all of this I am confident that the rosters will be bang up to date on all the big name trades. If players are not in the roster, simply they were not in the game in the first place.
Rookie watch..Look at this sheet and tell me which ones you definitely want me to create. I have got Ovechkin, Crosby, Lundqvist and other 'big names', but I might not have go the others....so name them!!!
link-view me!!
Other than that I expect the rosters to be out some time this week. These will obviously be V1 rosters, and I need your help guys to tweak them, make them better and more accurate-SO I NEED YOUR FEEDBACK!!!
PS-Flea-Have you got the game yet?

Great stuff, BC

I'm afraid I won't be able to check out your rosters until about the 20th April because I'm going home on Monday until the 19th. Also, I need to get my MaxDrive back from my mate.
You could perhaps miss out those players not in the game that aren't rookies? Otherwise I imagine EHM could give you some guidance as to how good to make them.
As for which rookies to include, I suggest:
Ana - Ryan Getzlaf
Bos - All of them

Cgy - Dion Phaneuf
Nj - Zach Parise
Phi - Jeff Carter
Tor - Staffan Kronwall
That would probably do for the time being
Thanks once again. It's greatly appreciated

Don't forget to do Andrew Ladd
I already have my own rosters with all of those guys and they are up to date as of today
