Ainars Podzins (Dinamo Riga) have a second nationality Latvian.

IIHF don't let him play in WC U-20, because he was application in KHL as Latvian citizen, despite the fact that he has Russian passport, he could not go to the U-20 World Championship 11-12 in the Russian team.

I'm not sure this is the right place for this but Ryan Gunderson (Brynäs IF) has extended his contract with two more years.

problem in the first season in the Russian league due to start in 2011.
in EHM on regulations in the Russian league's first season 19 teams, and from the second season is already 18 teams, respectively, and games in the first season of 54, but since the second is for 51 games.
And due to start save in 2011 number of teams is 19, but the rules of the league with 51 game stands.
In the end, after 51 games EHM are said relegated teams and a couple of teams in the playoffs, but then played another three games of the regular season.
I think it unlikely you can solve this problem, but just know about it. It really is not very important.

Tomorrow or the day after tomorrow I will write a list of Russian players, who in the game are free agents, but in fact already retired.

So the change from 19 to 18 teams should take place in 2007 but never happens because we moved the start date? Interesting.
As you said, I cant do anything about it, maybe some of the coders around here can.

That retired list would be great, thanks

The New York Islander's affiliate, The Bridgeport Sound Tigers, is listed as an ECHL team. They are an AHL Team.
West:
The Vancouver Canucks have a CHL affiliate, the Missouri Mavericks.
The Colorado Avalanche have the Allen Americans listed as their CHL affiliate, this should be the Tulsa Oilers.
The Dallas Stars have a CHL affiliate, the Allen Americans.
The Columbus Blue Jackers have an ECHL affliliate, the Chicago Express.

Thank you for all your hard work.
Like Batdad said, three teams ahs to be in the ECHL due to hard-coding. I demoted the three worst teams from last season.
I missed the FLA and CBS affiliates
Dallas is no longer affiliated with Allen but Colorado is.
Missouri is only affiliated with the Chicago Wolves, not the Canucks

And Batdad, I will change that league later on

so what would this mean for player development and stuff like that? Will guys not progress properly to NHL level if they don't have the AHL experience or is it more based on ice time in previous league type-of-thing?

Not much difference that I noticed when I used a Dallas team in a challenge. It may have been a little slower...but nothing that I could substantially notice. Hiring the right coaches, right training schedules, etc etc and right amount of ice time...they develop.

I don't know if this is a error in the database or if it is a license problem due to the CSD Patch, but in my games the first division of the World Chpionship contains nations like Aruba, Australia and American Samoa whil the second division got teams like Canada, Finland and Sweden.

Not anymore.
That was happening before when we hadn't added the Birth year to the players. We have now added that to everyone

I already said there are lots of guys that are RFA ingame that i think are not in real life, examples are Dubinsky or for sure Avery ont he Rangers i noticed, but it seems there are a lot more throughout the game. Also i see a lot of very promising prospects waived by other teams (that scandinavian goalie, Ohio , or whats his name or Landon Ferraro no name some) but i know its an issue of the game more than the DB. Another thing i notced is Tavares left the Isles as UFA after the first season, i dont know his real life situation but i guess he would be RFA at least. On the Rangers i would say maybe MC Donough should be a little better already , also Girardi deserved a little boost. Avery is defiantely overrated as i said before, but Stephan could also be a little better. Stralman is overrated in game IMO, so is Eminger even if i am a fan of his IRL already. Dubinsky deserves to be downgraded a little not based on his current slump but because he is so good ingame. Erixon wasnt anything special for me so far, but it could be because he didnt get a chance , i like that about the DB that you actually have to develop your prospects, so maybe he will improve. If he doesnt have much upside though he deserved some. MCIlrath also seem to be more than the beast he is in the DB, he can actually play and isnt as stiff as the game suggests. Jesper Fasths agility is a miracle to me because every scout describes him as very flashy which surely means he is rather agile too not just fast. Also he seems to have an awesome development and surely can read the play better than a positioning 4 already.

Just my 2 cents so far, maybe something finds its way into the next update.

I hope those free agency things will be sorted when we get the histories and the Date joined team added.
I will have a look at the Rangers you mentioned and edit them

Nice, i just realized the biggest off thing you shouldnt forget: Wolski is nowhere the elite player anymore he is in the DB, should be toned throughout and his work rate lowered even more, he has his good games and is obviously skilled but often completely disappears.

i also think Adam Henrique deserves another look at his ratings. Henrique has now solidified himself as a full time NHLer

Yes Henrique is good. But um....how the heck was Manimal supposed to know that? Crystal ball? It kind of came out of the blue. He is also playing with the two best players on the team...which makes him *look(* better than playing with 4th liners did. Anyway...his stats will be used to develop where he is in Current ABility next season, in the 2012-13 release, and that will improve him. Unfortunately, for now...the only way for anyone to make his stats that came out of the blue in real life, come out of the blue in the game....is to do it themselves.

Is it ok to use the saved game editor with the CSD patch and these rosters?
I also see people talking about rating changes and such in this thread so I figured I'd throw my 2cents in if it had a chance to make it into the next update.

I new around here so I'm not familiar with protocol.

P.S. best player on the Devils is Elias. always has been. Parise is getting there but I've always felt his numbers come from his relentless attack and determination as opposed to pure skill - He will surpass Elias in a few years. Kovy on the other hand has tremendous offensive skills but his defense (especially on the point on the PP) is awful. He dekes through the entire team then shoots it a foot wide - he'll have to become a better finisher 5 on5

I haven't heard anyone using the save game editor with the CSD patch. You can become our guinea pig!
Make your changes and let us know if any troubles arise(or not)

However, I dont quite understand what changes you want me to make with the She-Devils.Please be more specific

A few minor things I just noticed:

-Hamburg Freezers assistant coach Henry Thom is listed as Thom Henry in the database.
-Aleksander Polaczek (Hamburg as well) has German/Polish dual citizenship, but as a German international he should only be allowed to represent Germany
-James Bettauer (Medicine Hat Tigers) should have German as second citizenship (he signed a pre-contract with Hamburg Freezers for next season)

A few DEL-teams are missing their logos, is that because I don't have some files that I need or are they missing for some other reason?

Thanks. I declared Polaczek a German and added a 2nd nationality to Bettauer. I will edit Thom/Henry when the histories have been added.
Logos don't come with the db. You have to add them separately. Look in the downloads section

Ah, what I meant is that DEL-teams already had their logos incorporated into the game but now some are gone for whatever reason.

I have to say this database is excellent. I'm someone who usually edits the databases of all sports sims I play, because there is always something I disagree with, but I don't think I have seen a database where I had to change so little.

On another minor note, Nickolas Latta (Sarnia Sting) should have Germany as possible choice to represent internationally. Right now he is set to America, but I think he only ever played for Germany (last two World Juniors and U18 before that).
