I too have no idea what the numbers actually mean (so I can't be sure that more than 25% over the limit is "not much over")

The NHL was apparently testing for pseudoephedrine before the Nagano Olympics back in 1998 http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/ ... /index.htm I guess they don't test for it anymore?

According to the wiki article on Pseudoephedrine "normal dosage of 240 mg pseudoephedrine per day can result in urine concentration levels exceeding the limit of 150 µg/ml set by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for about half of every user." - if I understand correctly (and I might not, a lot of numbers and big words HaHa), it seems regular usage will result in being over the IOC limit half the time!...doesn't seem like a good/fair test

On the other it's a known potential issue (Visnovsky was apparently warned in 2010, and other athletes have lost medals due to positive tests), and you'd think those whose job it is to know about these things would know the danger of possibly testing positive...it really is stunning that a doctor would say go ahead and take it

IIRC, I've been treated by that doctor, lol

Some ten years ago for a foot injury.

Björn Waldebäck (the doctor) said 4-5 players took it. Only Bäckström was unlucky and got caught.
