Hey there, couldn’t login on my usual “scafe18” account as I cannot retrieve password for some reason??

But, I am wondering why someone went and changed the dates of the western hockey league playoffs so that the eastern conference takes up to a week longer than the Western Conference. This is so unrealistic and after missing the playoffs in my first season, there was nothing that felt more like a time waster than getting to season two and finding out someone messed with the dates.

Also would like to know why teams were able to sign 21 year old overage players?

One more question! World Junior teams not getting a full roster… why is that?

I can look at the dates again, pretty sure I had to modify them to get the nested Memorial Cup to work properly, but I can look at this over the summer. The overager thing I can fix, won't be in the update I just pushed out though as I'm just seeing this post.

Did you use "Generate Extra Junior Players"? That causes issues with Team Canada for some weird reason, I've shared that with Riz.

- Full renewal of player names to reduce prevalence of second nationalities in the first few season of prospect generation. Thank you Chat-GPT.
- Added a three-way select option so that in the PG you can either "duplicate" existing and historical star players, create "sons" for them, or not have any recognition of these players in the database
- Reduced average player heights across the board by ~2-5cm.
- Changed formulae to give wider variation of mental and technical attributes at player generation stage (no change to physicals)
- Re-balanced nationality distribution at the top end (less obscure nationalities at the top of the NHL level)
Created "Day 1" younger non-players that have the potential to grow into NHL level staff

My game loads fine but crashes after the first day. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game to no success.

These settings will ensure you get the most detail out of the database, I put a lot of time and effort into this and I want to make sure the game isn't going to strip out any of that detail. The only requirement is selecting 20 leagues or less, that will result in crashes.

My release scheduled for July 1st may be delayed by a few days to a week.

I'll patch in the NHL and other league schedules as they are released as well as the CHL import draft. This is lightly tested so please let me know if there is any weirdness!

I may pull this database, some weirdness going on with the scraping tool, some players have incorrect nationalities, positions and are set to wrong teams. Might be database wide.

Edit: Found the issue, was a bad import on my end from a scrape of the 2025 Draft Center page on EP, not an issue with the tool or a larger DB wide issue. I'll patch in a fix.

July 7th update posted, wasn't going to wait another full week with so little left in the FA pool. Next release planned for first week of August, if any trades happen I'll patch them in. penguinrevolt and I are trying to figure out what to do for the 4 Nations Faceoff, it seems moving the World Cup into that spot may make the most sense, it also should have some game code to allow the use of NHLers. We will see if we can make it work!

I wanted to test something if I use less league would it mean the prospect for draft change.
While I started testing and I chose NHL and qjmhl only using the recommended settings.
Is it normal the sim speed takes forever? I put NHL to later stage everything else at none like I start unemployed.
Sim a full season with the speed would look to almost take a full day seem a bit much.

Is it normal that it takes that much time?
