Replacement for Nedved

Its the preseason for the second year, and I want to replace Nedved (I am coyotes). He is in my second line, old, unfit and really expensive, but no one will give up a younger LW, even when I through a few other things in the trade.

Does anyone know who I could go for? (If you want me to post my roster, I will - I am quite proud of it seeing as I know very little about hockey and that this is my second EHL game 8-) )

I usually go after Erik Cole for my LW. Sometimes he's hard to get in a deal but other times he' not. Give him a shot.

Post your roster why not?

Cole would be ideal but you could try for Eric Fehr from the caps.

I couldn't get hold of anyone to replace nedved, or Ricci, so I will hold onto them till christmas and see what happens.

Not bad. Good D. You will proably need to replace Joseph via Free Agency during the off season. You could try shipping off Nedved and Ricci for a first line right wing. Afiniganov (sp) on the Sabers is good or you could try Jagar who comes easy if the Rags drop out of the playoff race. Jagar will be your MVP for years to come so dont worry about giving up some good pick or prospects for him.

Take a look at the thread in the Game Knowledge Forum called 'Standard Signings' for some info on players people like to add to their teams.

Specifically if you are in your second season check and see if anyone has signed Nils Ekman yet, you may be able to get him as a free agent. In my latest game he wasn't signed on Janaury 6 and I brought him in for peanuts. 8-) He had 48 points in 41 games as my second line LW. Check and see if anyone else is still unsigned too as that's your easiest solution.

Another trade target I go with is Trent Hunter from the Islanders; he's a RW/LW.

As for Nedved offer him to teams in blank offers and see what they counter with. You may not be able to get anything done because the offers you put together are rejected and that's as far as they think about it. Leave it open for them you can probably work out a decent deal.

Same thing with looking for a LW in trade; offer teams trades with just their LW in the deal and see what they want for them; if you find a price that looks good to you take it :-) These two angles of course assume that you have the league scouted by now so you can double check your scouting reports to make sure you get players that will work for you.

Good luck! And welcome to TBL =D>
